Today is the day of the interview. Taylor dyed her hair in pure green and black. Her mother was shocked and asked her why she did this. Taylor replied that it was in homage to someone who accompanied her. Her mother didn't ask more, as she became a little guilty looking into Taylor's blue eyes.
When the interview started, they exchanged brief greetings, and Taylor introduced herself, mentioning when she was born, where she grew up, and her favorite color. Then, Johnny asked Olivia, "Olivia, I mean no offense to little Taylor, but why did you not sing the song? I think it would definitely be more appropriate for you to sing the song as an adult. Don't you think, Taylor?"
Olivia looked at him a little surprised and then smiled, saying, "It seems that you have not done your duty correctly, Johnny. I didn't write the song; Taylor wrote it herself. I just helped a little during the production. She came up with the melody and lyrics."
Taylor replied with a little pride, "Of course, I wrote the song. It has a special meaning to me, not really about E.T.; E.T. is just a metaphor."
Conor asked, "Oh, what is the meaning of it to you?"
Taylor replied, "Unfortunately, because you doubted me two times, I will not answer two of your questions, and this one that you asked is the first."
Johnny replied with a smile, "It seems that you are a petty girl."
Taylor rolled her eyes a little cutely and replied, "Whatever you say, I will not answer this question for you."
Johnny then asked, "In your song, it was a love song. We also know this. Then why do you mention 'girl' instead of 'boy'? Is there a special reason for this?"
Hearing this tricky question, Taylor replied as if prepared, "You know, as I said, this song has a special meaning to me. It's not something that I am ready to share. As for not mentioning 'boy' or 'guy,' it's because I have promised that I will never write a song for a male until I am in love."
Johnny didn't continue to dwell on this tricky topic, so he asked, "Let me also ask you, what are your favorite things or hobbies? Is singing one of them?"
Taylor replied, "I like hearing or watching stories that are told in books, songs, movies, and animated movies. I also like to tell stories like my song; it's my story." Then she added, "I also took this opportunity to do a little publicity for myself. After I receive the money for my single, I plan to build a studio in which I will produce an anime based on the story of one of my fans. She shared her stories in her letter to me and said that my song inspired her. That makes me really happy. Let me also add that I don't plan to release an album, but I will release a song every month based on the story one of my fans writes for me, as I know that like me, every one of my fans has their own story, whether it's happy or not. I will be happy if they share it with me."
Johnny was surprised and said, "Wow, it seems like you like knowing new stories very much. Can I know why?"
Taylor replied with a healing smile of a twelve-year-old child, "Of course, I like stories. In fact, I discovered this truth when I was ten years old. The reason for this is because from when I was seven years old to my turning ten, I always looked confused. As a seven-year-old child, I asked myself a philosophical question. I still have not really found the answer to this question. But when I started learning piano, as long as I play, I started forgetting about everything. Then after watching a movie made by my mother, I discovered that what I liked wasn't playing the piano but expressing my confusion through song. And what I liked wasn't watching movies but discovering new stories."
Then Johnny expressed his liking of her idea and came up with something that later people in the 21st Century called one of the top five ideas of the 20th century. Also, this interview will be known to people of the 21st century as the best talk show of the 20th century. Johnny said, "I am very impressed and touched by your idea. If I were the manager of NBC, I would definitely prepare a special show for you in which you could release a song at the end of the month. Speaking of which, I was curious why you asked for a keyboard before, but if I understand correctly, you have a new song, right?"
Olivia, Taylor, and the audience didn't take it seriously, but Brandon Tartikoff took it very seriously and planned to watch the end of the show and its ratings before deciding.
Taylor replied, "Bingo, you have won the jackpot, but unfortunately, there is no prize."
Johnny was amused and said, "Okay, our little genius, let us hear the story of your new song before playing it for us, as our program is nearing its end."
Taylor replied, "This song is for a story of one of my fans."
