School is over on Valentine's day. How I hate this. Seeing a bunch of teenager's raging hormones spark like fireworks. While everyone flexes their boyfriends or girlfriends which probably won't even last long. I sat down in my classroom. Rolling my eyes on the girls who keep bitching about which boyfriend is better.
It's a good thing my high school is an all-girls school, imagine seeing those pigs with lipstick making out with there boyfriends...
It would be horrid especially hearing them. It would be like whales' distress calls.
"Hey, Lisa! What are you doing here? Isn't it February 14? Aren't you going on a date?" Rose snickers towards me.
"Not really... dating is not really for me," I reply.
"Ha! Since when did Lisa even get a boyfriend." A dumb bimbo talks in the back.
"I know right. That ghetto can't get a boyfriend. Rose why do you even bother hanging out with him. He might try to sexually harass you. Lesbian whore." Her plastic friend replies.
Now that I look at it. Rose is a cheerleader and I'm just that girl in the sidelines... Honestly, we are miles apart in terms of social hierarchy.
I look down. Making my ears shut.
"Okay then. Don't you have a date with that guy? Oh, who was that again.. You know that guy who was a drug addict and was in a detention center twice. Better meet up with him. You wouldn't want to be late." Rose passive-aggressively remarks. Making the girl sweat leaving in silence with her friend.
"Alright, then I'll be going now." I stand up to get my things.
"On second thought maybe we should just hang out?" Rose smiles at me.
"Don't you have a date with a handsome guy today? You're popular you know that?" I reply shocked.
"Not really. I'm alone, no dates here. I would love to spend time with my best friend!" She puts an arm around my shoulder smiling at me making my stomach fill with butterflies.
Best... friend...
"Fine." I sigh pretending to not be entertained.
"Let's go then!" We both stand up to gather our things as we walked to my house. The couples swarmed the street with their emotional fireworks blowing up left and right. It was cringe-worthy and uncomfortable, to say the least.
Rose would start to giggle, I look at her confused. What is with her?
"I guess you are an aromantic? You seem uncomfortable seeing them show public display of affection." Rose giggled at me.
I rolled my eyes at her teasing then suddenly asked a question.
"Why do you hang out with those dumb bimbos? Just being around them just means you have a low IQ?" I say to her sternly which leaves her dumbfounded.
"I guess I just get along with other people really well. Even if their personality is unpleasant.
She replied back with an amused manner which made me raise my eyebrows.
I sigh before looking ahead to see the low IQ girls who wear not matching shoes. They were with their boyfriends clinging into them and flirting with them like a bunch of pigs in heat.
"Hey! Rose why don't you join us! Let's go out!" A girl from that crowd yells over to us.
Rose walks over to them and started chatting.
Somehow I felt left out over this... I guess Rose is just gonna leave me. Back to my lonely Valentine's day.
I start to walk away before Rose puts her hand on my shoulder.
"Where are you going?" She pats my head.
"Aren't you going with them? You should go with your friends."
She giggled. "Silly. They are my "friends" but..."
My heart starts beating faster I actually felt happy.. for some reason.... Not that I want to admit it but I really did enjoy her company.
"You're my best friend... Lisa."
