Chapter 249, For the People I Love
"Reinforcements have finally arrived.". Monica sighs a breath of relief as Will and the Ancients flew above them.
"Hello? Can everyone here me?" The voice of Leon echoed in the heads of the Braves.
"Leon? How are you doing this?" Mayumi asked.
"Mayumi?" Hiro's voice asked.
"I thought communications were down?" Moyu asked in surprise.
"I used the Celestial Globe to link the worlds as per Arata's orders, then after retreiving the Griffon from Azure Skies I brought a few reinforcements." Leon answered as a Louie suddenly landed in front of Lucas.
"Yo, it's been a while." Louie smirked.
"Brother? Why are you here?" Lucas asked in surprise.
"Hehe, the Knights protect that which the Flower desires." The Chief, standing before Hiro and the Braves says.
"We will now begin the master's strategy to defend the worlds, I hope none of you will have problems with the master's plan." Philia spoke.
"No complains from us." Monica answered.
"First, all the Vassal Braves, please prepare to distribute the master's Protection." Philia began his strategy. "When shared the power and potential of Vi is limitless. By connecting everyone with Master, everyone will gain the power to fight against the Fingers."
"Yeah. That's good news." Seiji answered.
"In coming!!" A shout urges Seiji back to reality and he sees the figure of Zenze and Rasha in the sky. "Who is that?"
"Zenze and Rasha..." Alma answered as she flew beside Cedar. "Cedar, I'll handle Rasha you deal with Zenze."
"You've got it." Alma answered as the two took to the skies to face off with the two Harbingers.
"The Ancients will handle the Harbingers, everyone else please prioritize defeating the Fingers." Leon stated.
"Understood." Everyone answered.
As the battle begins, the Vassal Braves are engulfed by a golden light, behind them the Crest of the Sacred Flower shined brightly.
"Mao." Theo smiled as he landed beside Mao holding out his hand. Mao doesn't hesitate to take Theo's hand and the light engulfs.
"Whoa! This power... it feels so potent!" Mao exclaimed as he felt the energy surge within him. "With this!"
Mao turns to the Fingers and attacks with his sword easily destroying it.
"Pass it along!!" Mao exclaimed as he ran through the group of Braves.
"Alright! Let's do this!" Dustin shouted on the battlefield.
One by one, the Vassal Braves pass along the power throughout the battlefield and in the rays of the setting sun, the individual lights of the Braves begin to glow, brighter and brighter with each new spark.
"They're beautiful. Each single light." Rius says as he flew along side Felicia.
"Indeed. Like stars in the night sky, they seem to light darkness." Felicia answered him.
"The beauty of each and every light is fleeting but also powerful." Siel says as he attacked the Fingers.
The battle before them grew louder, Felicia and the Ancients clashing blades with the Harbingers, who are not allowing the Ancients to take advantage of the battle.
"Sweet Arms! Black Bullet!!" William shoots a bullet towards Frajil as he flew up.
"Oh? William what are you doing here?" Gunilla asked.
"The Blades will also assist." He says as he held his gun the others aimed at Frajil and Shaze.
"Thanks, but we can handle them by ourselves." Riu says. "Maybe it'd be better if you return to Arata's side now?"
"How's everything on the ground?" William asked the Braves.
"The Western Continent is under control. I think we'll be fine here." Monica answered.
"The North will be fine now too." Snow answered. "The Cardinal Beasts have placed the Sources into place."
"I'm done here as well." Autumn stated.
"We're fine as well." Sakura stated.
"We'll be fine too." Ardor answered. "When we've made sure that the Continents are safe, we'll return to the Sidus Pontem to assist."
"Will, you guys can return to the Sidus Pontem to help Arata." Mayumi stated.
"Speaking of which, Leon can we reach Arata?" Adonis asked.
"I'll try. Arata, can you hear me?" Leon asked. "I've done what you've told me to do."
For a while there is silence, no answer from Arata so Leon calls again as the Braves fall silent, waiting for a reply. As the darkness of the night covers the Braves, they wait for Arata's reply.
" Arata? Can you hear me?" Leon asked once more.
"... Leon...?" The distorted voice of Arata begins to answer.
"Where are you? Are you alright?" He asked.
"Yeah... I'm fine..." Arata answered.
"Just hang in there. We'll return to the Sidus Pontem now to help you. We've already finished here." Will says but Arata doesn't reply.
"I'm sorry. But this is where we must part everyone." Arata says.
It takes a moment for his words to sink in before the Braves erupt asking questions.
"What are you talking about?! Arata?! Arata?!" Andrew called out his name.
"This is the end of our journey everyone. I'm thankful for everything you've done for me. For the memories we've made, for the adventures we've had. Everyday was truly like paradise for me. The good days and the bad days." Arata spoke, as he did, the Braves could hear his silent sobs. "But... All this must come to an end. With the Seed of Fate inside of me, and the Vi from the Rivers of Fate, I will purify the Catastrophe. So that, it may never harm the worlds again."
"Arata that is too much!!" Siel exclaimed. "To purify the Catastrophe... Not even we could perform such a feet!!"
"The Memories of Fate have shown me how. The greatest spell that was engraved within it the Sidus Pontem." Arata spoke.
"Arata! There must be another way!!" Felicia exclaimed.
"I'm sorry... If we had time maybe there was another but... The Harbingers and Fingers have already begun to bring chaos to our world." Arata spoke. "I really want to stay by everyone's side but... But I refuse to let the world where the people I love live be destroyed by the Catastrophe. Which is why... I will gladly bring about the end of this long, long, long, war."
