The consecrated snowfields were unchanged. Its snowy hills and distant stumps were sights I'd seen as if but a day ago. I told the dear Tarnished my childhood, the story of how I met my dear wolf and it was then that I came to a fatal understanding. Our journey was close to an end. Yet that was always the conclusion. I guided him through the fog of icy mist, away from my people, oh I how missed them. Alas they wouldn't understand the dear Tarnished as well as I. Thus we endured the cold winds to the final destination, the Apostate Derelict where our young sister rested. I delivered the birthing droplet as required and thus my duty finished. With no unfinished work to be done I asked to be laid to rest with my dear wolf. The dear Tarnished's eyes reflected sadness and so I remained ash, if not only for his sake but in addition to my own guilty pleasure. The Tarnished continued his own journey, fighting towering Giants and legendary demigods. With no attachments to this world, my strength of spirit waned and with each passing day, I could hear dear Lobo call out to me. Thus I was summoned less and less yet I did not mind it. I watched on, cheering his victories and consoling him in defeat. He battled countless foes and grew immeasurably powerful. He became the Elden Lord and I was happy. Yet I saw hesitation upon his face, a rare thing. He went back to lands already passed searching for dens unfound, his search relentless I knew he sought to delay the end yet i remained silent. Much time passed, and at some point I was summoned for the last time though neither of us knew it then. Eventually my dear Tarnished wept for there were no more lands to conquer and no more enemies to defeat. It was time to say goodbye. We travelled for the last time to whence we first met, to where dear Lobo rested, the Slumbering Wolf's Shack. In all our ventures I had seen the most beautiful sceneries yet below the cliffs the sea produced a sound like no other. Pure Serenity. I stared out to sea, and cried. If only my dear Tarnished arrived a day earlier, how wonderful that might've been, what adventures we could have with the Tarnished with Lobo and I? The cursed stars deemed it not. I looked to my dear Tarnished and he looked at me. It was time.
Standing beside Lobo I dissolved into ash forever.
"Dear Tarnished oh how we fought to the bitter end…"
