Land of Rivers.
In the forest,
The fight that had just taken place in this woodland had destroyed all of the tall trees with twisted branches that had once stood there.
The battle pits were filled with rain falling from the dark sky, and some blood was visible on the surface.
Thup!
Kazuki walked over the dense layer of broken wood and dark sand, his silver hair adhering to his sides and forehead from the rain.
His brown eyes were fixed on the blonde, sitting in the rain, her face painted in desperation.
A blue-haired man with two horrifying holes in his stomach and totally ruined kidneys lay before the woman on the ground.
"No! Please don't!"
Cried Tsunade in a pleading tone, despite being so exhausted from the fight, squeezing out the last bit of chakra out of her body and placing her hands with green chakra around on top of the stomach.
But it just seemed like tossing a stone in an ocean, making no difference.
Dan, who was feeling the world gradually getting darker, had his blurry eyes on Tsunade, witnessing her crying and trying her best to stop the inevitable.
Thup!
"That's…enough…Tsunade!"
Tsunade heard the worn-out voice, and at the same moment, Dan raised his left hand to touch her face.
At this very time, behind Tsunade footsteps sounded and there stood a silver haired figure with his eyes fixed at Dan.
Thup!
*I'll make sure to make time to train together with you, Kazuki-Kun*
The words of the man who was dying rang in the hand of Kazuki, and that cheerful look in his memory was slowly overshadowed by the dying look before him.
"Failing after trying so hard... sigh…
Said Kazuki while letting out a sigh, he made quick work of Rasa and Pakura and planned to use them as hostages to deal with the dire situation because he knew Tsunade and the rest wouldn't be able to defeat Kazekage.
His plan worked in a way, as he was able to save Tsunade but couldn't change the fate of Dan. The feeling of failure was really unpleasant.
Dan, seeing a strong woman like Tsunade crying forcefully brought a smile on his blood stained face and said,
"Don't cry…. I lived like the way I wanted and was able to protect someone who I care for at the end"
"I'm glad I became a shinobi... able to protect you... and leave with no regrets!"
Thud!
The words fell along with the hand touching the face of Tsunade, the heart of dan stopping completely, and his eyes going white.
Thud!
Seeing this, a feeling of weakness took over Tsunade, the world around her going black as she tumbled next to Dan, passing out.
"Glad to be a Shinobi...huh"
Only Kazuki was left standing in the rain, with his head tilted up to gaze at the dark sky mumbling the last words of Dan.

"Hurry up!! We can't waste a single second!!!!"
Yelled Orochimaru with a serious look on his face, behind him a huge platoon composed of at least hundred konoha shinobi.
The platoon under the leadership of Orochimaru travelled through the dark forest, jumping from one tree to another at high speed.
"I hope we make it on time!"
Prayed Orochimaru inside his head, the moment he got news through Katsuyu that Tsunade was attacked by Kazekage he without wasting a moment taking a platoon mostly composed of chunin and jonin left the stronghold.
He just hoped they make it on time, he couldn't imagine the consequences of something happening to Tsunade.
Soon the platoon entered an area of the forest where most of the trees were completely uprooted, shards of trees everywhere.
Raising his hand Orochimaru motioned the shinobi behind him to slow down as from here onward they moved on cautiously.
"This…it's Iron Sand…and Gold Dust as well…
Finally, the platoon arrived at the main battle point, Orochimaru noticing the black and golden sand recognizing it immediately.
The corpses of Konoha Jonin were soon found as well, the expression of Orochimaru turning ugly at this.
"It's that girl...
The body of a girl with orange and some green hair was spotted next, Orochimaru didn't take long to figure out who she was—the girl who fought Kazuki on the battlefield.
Orochimaru was shocked, but he knew right now that the most important thing was to find Tsunade, as she was the most important, though the platoon didn't have to search long for them.
With the platoon behind him and rain pouring down, Orochimaru had his gaze fixed at the front.
Before them stood Kazuki with two bodies on his shoulders, his calm eyes gazing back at Orochimaru and the whole platoon.
Soon the squad that just arrived departed back towards the stronghold, no one saying a word on the way back, just shocked faces at the development.
