Chapter 7: Fruits of Training

In a blink of an eye, a month has already passed, if Tanaka could describe the 1 month of the members, it could be said it was hell.

Koro-sensei was more of a devil than Hiruma, he trained everyone until they can't move anymore, it was also the same for Tanaka.

He may have tons of experience in Basketball, he may be skilled but his body, the vessel of all these skills is very weak.

It could be said this was the very weakness of Tanaka, the past owner of the body was a wimp, afraid of pain and suffering.

Tanaka whipped his new body up as much as he could, of course, he didnt go over board, this will destroy his body.

He may have the system but he didnt really rely on it too much, anyway, in this 1 month, the physical training had greatly helped each players of the team.

Their basketball skills had also improved with Tanaka's training but there was a little thing you could do in a month.

But Tanaka trained the teams lacking with skills into tactics, he raised their teamwork, awareness, basketball IQ, and the basic of basketball which is enough for now.

But they still have 3 months to continue improving, Tanaka didnt slack off in training his teammates, he somewhat enjoyed seeing them suffer then become better.

Anyway, today, Tanaka will be looking on how much the team improved, he didnt play and made Hiruma part of the practice game.

Tanaka also asked for Ono-sensei help for practice matches and she was doing her best to look for one.

It was still a 3 vs 3 match, Team A was Hiruma, Tatsuo and Kenma, the team B is Sora, Asahi and Akagi.

The ball goes to Team B since they won the toss coin.

Sora was the ball holder, he calmly dribbled the ball while looking for an opening but the guarding him was Tatsuo, a lock down defender who wont let go of him no matter what he does.

Sora played smartly and passed the ball to Asahi, who dribbled the ball past Kenma by doing a jab to the right then spinning to the left at a very fast speed.

Asahi then met up with Hiruma who was matched up by Akagi.

Akagi and Asahi looked at each other and nodded, Akagi immediately boxed out Hiruma and gave Asahi a free path.

Asahi jumped and was about to lay the ball up but before he could even raise his hand, a hand smacked the ball away from his hand.

It was Hiruma who was laughing like a devil, his hand was very long and he easily got away from Akagi's box out, and swatted away the ball from Asahi's hands.

Kenma who was near picked the ball up and made an easy mid-range jump shot.

The ba then goes to Team A, Kenma held the ball while dribbling slowly, Sora felt he could steal the ball easily so he shot his hand forward to steal the ball but that was what Kenma wanted.

Kenma pulled his body back then immediately rushed in front in a not so fast speed but it was enough for him to get a space.

Kenma pulled the ball up and saw no one was going to block him and made another easy mid range jump shot.

"Sora! Dont slack off! I will triple your training!" Tanaka yelled.

"Yes!" Sora shivered when he heard that and immediately answered.

The ball was still on Team A but this time, Sora didnt get baited by Kenma, he waited calmly, and his eyes was also on the court.

Yes, Sora had a skill to see the whole court, it was called the Eagles eye, he could see everything inside the court.

Sora remained calmed while being able to see the players in the court, he leaned his body to the right a little making it seemed like he didnt notice that Tatsuo was behind him.

Kenma didnt say anything and faked a pass towards Tatsuo in which made Sora committed to that side.

Kenma didnt wait anymore and passed the ball to Hiruma who was free.

Hiruma smiled evily and made a fade away shot but to only be rejected by the tallest player Akagi who also have a superb jumping ability.

Sora caught the ball and passed the ball towards Asahi who got away from Tatsuo.

Asahi dribbled the ball and was about to charge towards the rim only to be blocked by Tatsuo, Asahi could feel the pressure Tatsuo was emitting just by defending.

Asahi didnt think about anything any more and just threw the ball a little high than the rim, a hand met the ball on the rim and dunked the ball on the rim with a.

*Boom!

It was Akagi who caught the Alley-oop.

The ball went to team B and Sora held the ball, this time Kenma was guarding him, Sora dribbles past Kenma and found the positions of every player in the court using his eagle eye.

He jabbed to the right avoiding Tatsuo who extended his hand for a steal, but Sora was not done yet, he stopped on the pain and leaned his body back as he shot the ball.

A simple fade away to dodge the block of Akagi who was going for the block.

*Swish!

The ball goes in!

The next ball still goes to team B, Sora was holding the ball guarded by Tatsuo, Sora wanted to pass the ball but it was stolen by Tatsuo from his hand.

Tatsuo dribbled the ball and charged under the rim, he may have specialized in defense but that doesnt mean he lacked in offense.

Asahi tried to intercept Tatsuo's speed only for Tatsuo to do a behind the back dribble then spun his body then a fade away shot.

*Swish!

The ball went in smoothly.

The ball goes to Team A and this time, Hiruma was holding the ball while Tatsuo was against Akagi.

Sora guarded Kenma and Asahi was guarding Hiruma.

Hiruma looked around and made a jab to the right suddenly which caught Asahi off guard, Asahi got his legs tangled up and he fell to the ground.

Hiruma chuckled and made a 3 point shot with ease and it goes in and touched nothing but the net.

They continued to play for a while and Team A won with Hiruma doing all the rest of the points from the three point line.

"Nice game! You guys have improved by so much" Tanaka praised them all

"Thanks captain!" They all replied.

"Anyway, Ono-sensei came earlier and she was able to get us a practice match against another school, the practice match will be starting next week, we have the home court" Tanaka explained.

"Uh, from which school are they captain?" Hiruma asked.

"Kunigaoka Middle School(I), Ono-sensei said it was an elite school" Des said.

"I will check about them later then" Hiruma nodded.

"That is great, okay, everyone can go home early today, also give me your shoe sizes, I will also our jersey" Tanaka said.

"Yes!" the other members immediately cheered.

Tanaka just smiled and changed his clothes, after everyone gave him their shoe sizes, he went towards the disciplinary committee room.

Tanaka knocked on the door, a few moments later, someone opened the door, a beautiful and stylish girl with long and lengthy strawberry blonde hair that twin short tails on each side described as the idol hairstyle.

"Tanaka-san, what do you need?" The girl asked.

"Hello Shiraishi-san(II), can you call Aisaka, I have something to tell her" Tanaka said.

"Oh, okay, wait a second, Aisaka-san, Tanaka is looking for you" she said.

"I'm coming" Aisaka replied.

"She is coming, I'm going to go, see you next time" Shiraishi replied.

"Yeah, see you next time" Tanaka waves goodbye.

After Shiraishi left, Aisaka came a few moments later, "What do you need?" Aisaka asked.

"I wont be able to back with you later so go home immediately, I need to go get our jersey, so I will be a little late" Tanaka reasoned.

"Okay, be careful" Aisaka said then Tanaka left.

Tanaka decided to go to his sports shops first which he got from the system, it was located in the city and was actually quite popular.

Tanaka took a taxi to go there, and it took him a 10 minute ride to reach the shop.

The Shop is called T.K Sports Shop, it was fairly huge shop with many shoes, clothes and some sport related stuffs on their stands.

Tanaka entered inside and saw it has many customers, anyway, Tanaka had limited time so he could not stroll around for now.

He went towards the counter and in a coincidence, he saw the manager of the shop who recognized Tanaka.

The manager name was not important, after getting to know each other, Tanaka gave him the shoe sizes of all the members of the basketball club and gave it to the manager.

The manager happily went towards the stock room and carried total of 7 different shoes which is top quality, after Tanaka was satisfied, he left and went to the printing shop where he met up with Hiruma who already got the jerseys.

They talked for a while before Tanaka decided to go back to Aisaka's apartment.
