Mystique

In the car on the way uptown to Mystique, Megan had Gabriel take his jacket off and told him to leave it in the car. Then she had him run his fingers through his hair a few times. She smiled nodding at the effect after the third time. Then she started undoing the buckle on her dress. Megan noticed that Gabriel watched her with wrapt attention. It looked like he was hoping she was nude under the buckle.

Megan stripped out of the overdress leaving her in the much more revealing second dress. Gabriel audibly swallowed but she wasn't sure how much he could see in the dark car. She pulled off her sensible pair of black pumps and pulled a pair of satin stilettos with crystal beaded ankle straps out of a bag and put them on.

"What are you doing to me?" Gabriel murmured in a near whisper beside her.

Megan smirked in his direction. "I guess we'll find out."

Gabriel ran a hand from her knee up the inside of her knee to her upper thigh. "This skirt is very short Megan. Are you sure it covers everything."

"All the important bits. If you're worried about it, then stick close." Megan challenged him cheekily.

"Oh, I intend to wife." Gabriel vowed, his voice husky.

A moment later they arrived at the venue. Gabriel helped Megan out of the car and got his first full look at her as she straightened her dress.

Gabriel stepped forward blocking her against the car and wrapped his arms around her. "You are barely dressed." He hissed exceptionally uncomfortable with how many eyes might see her like this.

"Gabriel look around, everyone is dressed like this. I thought you said you would stick close. Enjoy the show, that is what every other man is doing." Megan told him amused.

"I don't generally share what's mine with strange men Megan." Gabriel spoke quietly trying to keep jealousy from setting him off and calling to his baser nature.

"I'm going into the club with my friends. You can either join me or stay here, I don't care which." Megan started to shove Gabriel back. He stopped moving back when she could see his face. He stared at her for a minute, and she set her jaw showing him she was serious. Gabriel had to realize it would take a public spectacle to stop her from going to the club now.

Gabriel made a growling noise after a moment and wrapped her hand in his tightly pulling Megan over to where her friends were waiting for them to bypass the line. Caden had a VIP booth at Mystique, so they never had to wait in line. Gabriel growled at the bouncer that told Megan she was looking fine tonight. She smiled at the man, but Gabriel turned black eyes on him, and the man turned away instinctively.

"Was that really necessary?" Megan griped.

"Absolutely." Gabriel told her in a flat tone. "If you don't want me to kill anyone then I suggest you don't get friendly with anyone."

Megan looked at her husband alarmed. Was he being serious? She stared at Gabriels swirling black orbs and thought he might actually mean what he was saying. They sat down in the the alcove. Megan and Gabriel were sharing a fluffy loveseat. Megan did the only thing she could think of to distract him. Megan sat in Gabriel's lap and turned, locking her arms behind his head.

Gabriel sputtered for a second. "What are you doing?"

"Distracting you..." Megan told him sweetly.

"Uh, yes, you are doing that." Gabriel said quietly as his hand traced along her nearly bare back. As his concentration turned to her Megan watched Gabriels eyes clear and leaned into him. Megan leaned into him sideways, and his arms wrapped around her. She could feel him relax by degrees as he felt more secure.

Elijah ordered the fishbowl as Megan expected for her and Angelina. Caden and Elijah got a pitcher of some kind of orange cocktail and Gabriel had a bottle of top shelf whiskey. The look on Gabriel's face when the fishbowl came was hilarious. When the two woman started drinking he laughed aloud.

"Are you kidding me right now. You will be soup by the time we leave." Gabriel was watching them drink a look of horror on his face. Megan had him try the drink.

"Megan that is strong. If you drink that much, you'll need a hospital." Gabriel warned her. Megan grinned and nodded.

"They make it for all of us but only Angelina and I drink it. You could help." Megan tempted him with a cheeky grin.

When the server came back, Gabriel returned the unopened bottle of whiskey and got a straw from her. Then he started helping them drink the giant blue fishbowl.

"I'm doing this, so you don't die." Gabriel sighed but smirked at the two women as they took a break from drinking.

"Yeah, yeah, you're the real hero type." Angelina giggled, already feeling the buzz.

"Not hardly, I'm an antihero if anything." Gabriel chuckled as the alcohol kicked in.

Megan started to feel the drink as well but wanted a true buzz and then she would be happy. She leaned forward drinking another two full drinks worth and slumped back against Gabriel. Megan was pushed forward so he could drink because Gabriel refused to be outdone by her.

This prompted both her and Angelina to laugh and drink more as well. Megan realized that this is why these super drinks were dangerous. When they stopped this time, the drink was over half empty and they were all a bit dizzy.

Caden and Elijah had disappeared into the private lounge and the women knew they wouldn't see them again for a couple hours. Gabriel asked about them and when Megan explained with an eyebrow wiggle, she would have sworn he blushed. The music started to thump with a heavy bass beat. Angelina stood and headed out onto the dance floor. Megan was content for the moment with the way that Gabriel's hands were constantly touching some part of her body.

It felt like she was being worked into a frenzy but very slowly. Megan was thrumming with a kind of need that she couldn't completely recognize. She just didn't want the feeling to stop. Gabriel ran his nose along the side of her neck for the tenth time at least and made a low sound that was like a growl but not. Megan wondered what his eyes looked like and turned to look at him directly.
