Chapter 72: Alexander's Thoughts

10 A.R.R GALACTIC SENATE, CORUSCANT:
The second session of the Galactic Senate of this year was going to start in a few minutes. Alexander was also present in the Senate, sitting among the delegates from Dual, watching and observing everything. Alexander was interested in seeing the manner in which the Galactical government did it's work. Alexander knew that the Senate was corrupt to it's bone but still, he wanted to see the working of the Senate.
Alexander observed the various floating platforms surrounding the central platform on which the Supreme Chancellor sat. There were 1,024 platforms which housed the senators. Alexander watched as the senators whispered among themselves quitely about the new act as this act was spearheaded by nearly all the major powers of the galaxy, nobody dared to oppose the act.
It took Alexander 8 years to reach this stage. Alexander planned to first conquer the core worlds in order to bring his plan to reality but the Corellian senator Solan Dekero advised him that only controlling the core worlds would not help in achieving the formation of Planetary Trade Organization as the other factions would oppose this. The words of core worlds held sway but they rarely did agreed upon something collectively so, Alexander needed a diverse group of supporters. Moreover, the passing of act must be delayed by a few years as the Senate was quite slow in making laws and had let many problems fester for decades. The speedy enactment of the P.T.O. Act would raise suspicion in the minds of people of the galaxy and the purpose of the organization may even fail.
Alexander then, decided to conquer all the planets on the major hyperlanes passing through Corellia. Alexander also ordered his Corellian subjects to send their best people to build the factories which would be able to produce the quantum crystalline metal in his kingdom. Alexander had first thought to have the metal and hardening chemical prepared in the star wars world but after thinking deeply about this, he changed his plans. At that time the experts had assured that, it would take them 5 years to build the infrastructure required to utilise the metal at large scale in the projects specified by Alexander.
The building of infrastructure was sped up with the help of magic and the metal was ready to be produced at large scale, after non-stop construction for a period of 18 months. Alexander had transferred the Phrik Deposits of Gromas to the mainland ( Alexander refers his kingdom as mainland) by connecting Gromas and his kingdom and willing the deposits to be transferred there. Alexander had to convert all his magic to KMP to facilitate the transfer. It took 3 conversions to transfer all the metal. Alexander had transferred 1 Million ton of Phrik from Gromas.
Alexander requested, because he was respectful towards the elderly, the Flamel Couple from the Harry Potter World to study the metal and if possible, find a way to magically convert any metal to Phrik. Alexander also, copied all the force alchemy techniques of both the sith and Jedaii and transferred the parts related to conversion of metals to the old couple. Alexander was highly disappointed when he found that he had no talent in alchemy. Alexander had the quantum metal, as Alexander found the full name ' quantum crystalline metal ' to be quite big, stockpiled in large quantities. Alexander wanted the work to be finished in phases.
The scientists had found that the quantum metal can be used in anything that can be imagined with the help of magic. The metal was shaped in big blocks, circular pillars, thick beams and buildings were constructed out of it. A simple colour changing spell changed the colour of the crystal permanently. To hold all this together, the metal was fused together, using the ritual invented by the goblins. The goblins had the disease of being snobs and wanted their builidings to look smooth so they invented the ritual. First, the building was constructed with the help of magic and then, the ritual circle was drawn around the building. The ritual was started and all the materials were fused together to form a single entity. It looked quite nice as it seemed as a giant building made of colourful crystals had grown out of the ground. Alexander had the buildings enchanted with the dulling charm as the light reflecting off the crystals was making his subjects lose their vision momentarily, causing many accidents. The dulling of crystals made the buildings look even more beautiful.
Alexander had the shelter chambers of his kingdom, first remade using the quantum metal. Alexander had given the civilian buildings priority over the military installations. According to Anna's report, Mr. Jackson had acted quite smug in front of Mr. Thompson for a few weeks. Alexander had not left his kingdom defenceless. The designs of the planetary shields were submitted to the SQC for advancement and the SQC didn't disappoint Alexander.
The SQC designed a system of defensive towers categorised in city, region, sector, province, county, state and kingdom level. Each level's towers were bigger and better than the previous one. Alexander ordered the construction of the Defense towers in every city of the kingdom, at the very centre. The first 20 floors of the tower would also serve as the office of the city government. The towers had two functions, one was the projection of protective shields for their respective cities and another was to act as power relaying points for the regional defensive towers, which would in turn, perform the same function for the sectorial defensive towers.
The SQC designed kingdom level defensive towers that stood tall at the height of 100 kilometers and a wide circular base of 400 kilometers. The towers acted as both defence and attacking units. At the very top of the tower, stood a rotating circular platform on which four very powerful antimatter cannons were mounted, which was capable of destroying a entire star system in one shot and the shields were capable of tanking the anything below the destruction of a blackhole. As usual, the SQC had designed a thing which was not possible in current scenerio but Alexander understood that the SQC meant well. According to SQC, it would take 30 years before the construction of regional level towers could begin without taking into account the use of magic.
The mad scientists under the guidance of Dr. Sinha tried to find the extent of durability of quantum metal. After a long battery of tests, the scientists concluded that the metal could only withstand the effects of exposure to the gravitational field of a small black hole for 10 minutes. It was also very difficult to draw runes on the metal and charge them up but once they are charged, they would remain charged for centuries. The metal was the best insulation found till now and can be used as a casing for superconductive wires. In short, the quantum metal could be used in everything. The quantum metal had become a cornerstone for the Fortis Empire.
Alexander had after the construction of revamped shelter towers, ordered the quantum metal to be distributed in 80 : 20 ratio between the civilian sector and military sector as Alexander was quite fed up of seeing the dour face of Mr. Thompson in the bi-monthly meetings. Alexander then, set the SQC on another task. Alexander asked the SQC to find the estimated amount of quantum metal required to revamp his whole kingdom. It took SQC 10 minutes to calculate the estimated amount. Alexander nearly fainted on hearing the estimated amount, which was 250 million tons. The SQC also made known that the million ton of Phrik brought by Alexander would last him for 10 years only. Alexander then set the Flamels and SQC to find a way to convert other metals to Phrik. Alexander returned to star wars world after that.
Alexander planned to conquer all the planets lining the hyperlanes going through Corellia except Coruscant. There were two major hyperlanes near Corellia: Corellian Run which connected 44 planets from Coruscant in core region to Wrea in outer rim and Corellian Trade Spine which connected 55 planets from Corellia to Terminus in the outer rim. It took Alexander, 7 years to conquer these 98 planets which added 8 trillion living beings and 4.5 trillion Ballastians to his kingdom. Alexander's people in their zeal to achieve his orders, used up all the Phrik to rebuild the buildings of the kingdom but the Flamels and the SQC were able to design a conversion process enhanced by magic which changed 50 kg of iron to 500 grams of Phrik. Alexander ordered them to find better alternatives and extracted another million ton of Phrik from Gromas. Alexander also had the SQC design a scanner to scan the celestial bodies for their resources. The SQC had designed a droid capable of scanning the celestial bodies from the hyperspace. Alexander used the normal metals to construct the droids and released 10,000 of these droids in the Galaxy. All the droids were connected to main server which recorded the data and sounded the alert when the reserves of the metal reached beyond the limit set by SQC or when reserves of precious metals or unknown metals were found.
Alexander had now gathered the data of hundreds of thousands of planets and moons present in the galaxy. This data would be used to hold auctions for planets after the Planetary Trade Organization Act passes and all the ground work is completed. Alexander was brought out from his thoughts when the Supreme Chancellor arrived at the central dias. Everyone stood up up in respect, Alexander also stood up in order to not stand out. The Supreme Chancellor after some speech, began the session and Alexander relaxed in his seat in order to watch the upcoming show.
