Nadia's eyes looked shocked, "Is that why she took my power?"
Almaria glared at Nadia. "I didn't take it, I just sealed your power and made you ordinary so you wouldn't be pursued by the hunters. You should be thanking me. I saved your life!"
"But I was never chased by anyone," Nadia protested.
I had to agree with Nadia because that part of the memory was erased by Almaria. A surge of energy penetrated my shield on Nadia, and suddenly, as if jolted, Nadia looked at me. "I remember we were chased by many people when coming back from Gris's apartment."
