Adam turned on his bed and kept his head down on his soft, fluffy pillow. He sighed in satisfaction. As it was a Saturday, he did not need to get up early. He laid on the bed, half drowsy, hoping to enjoy his morning as much as he could.
He could hear the birds chirping outside in the orchard, and the morning breeze blew softly while the sun rays seeped through the open window and partly shone on a side of the bed.
Adam closed his eyes and drew in a deep breath.
"Ahhh." He let out another sigh of contentment.
No noisy car honks on the busy highway could be heard; instead the harmonious sound that could be heard was that of the trees which rustled as the squirrels ran up and down on them, gathering their nuts. No yelling from frustrated pedestrians disturbed the serenity of the environment, instead the birds tweeted beautifully by the small bird house which was beside the fountain.
Adam smiled with his eyes still shut.
This is the life.
