At this time, they had already moved to the bedroom, and they were lying comfortably on the bed, just embracing each other like a loving couple as they slumbered.
However, the peace was rudely interrupted when Hugo's phone reverberated and rang, making the two flinch awake.
"What's wrong?" She asked, alert by instinct due to her career, but one could tell with how her eyelids were drooping that she was very sleepy.
Hugo pushed down a smile as he gently guided her back to the bed, though he had to do so while answering the call since it sounded so urgent.
"He escaped? Gone to another country?" Hugo uttered as he got out of bed, voice tinged with rage. It also completely shook the slumber out of Khalifa and she sat up, looking at him with wide eyes.
Hugo forced down his anger and smiled at her, leaning down to give her a comforting kiss. He thought she was afraid of Kylo, of his revenge.
