"You will not treat me like a fragile glass." He nodded but grabbed her hand first and said, "I've seen what you can do. Changing into a wolf partly. You will teach me when this is over." What is Wrong with Everyone

They both jumped back and an arrow passed where they had been standing. Back to back they circled.

"This is not the way to welcome someone new. "Klaus hissed.

Mara stepped out of the clearing and laughed. "Oh and hugging her is the way."

"She is of the pack." He snarled and shielded Kara with his back.

"Picking sides already? She is not of the pack, she lived with humans."The brown haired sneered and whistled. "Let's see how soft they made her."

Out of the woods, wolves emerged, snarling and growling. Kara sighed.

"Without knowing who I am, she made this move. I wonder how it would be if she knew who I truly was." She whispered to Klaus and stepped out from behind him.

"No kidding." He chuckled. "Let's kick some wolf butts."

They were back-to-back, protecting each other. The first wolf attacked and Kara slammed her arm into its jaw. It bite her and drew blood.

"No more nice new girl." Her eyes flashed white for a second and she attacked.

Her speed could not be matched and the onlookers couldnt look away. She slammed jaws and her nails left marks on the faces of some of the wolves. Her fangs had grown and her nails were that of a wolf. She was a sight on the field. Careful not to kill anyone, Kara pushed the last person the the ground and stood snarling. Klaus howled and patted her on the back. He had taken down a couple himself.

"Mad skills you got." His smile was wide as his eyes twinkled.

Mara clapped dramatically and narrowed her eyes at Kara. She sneered. "I agree, you can move... against amateurs."

Kara cocked her head and smirked. "How about I take you on and you stop acting so high and mighty?"

Klaus placed his hand on Kara's shoulder and shook his head. "Don't. She's a monster on the field."

Kara only smiled. Deep down, she knew she could take the girl on and win.

"What is going on?" Principal Hartridge's voice boomed in the clearing.

Dimitri came to Kara as Klaus went to explain what had taken place.

"I promise, I didn't do anything out of the ordinary. They came at me. I had no choice." She said defensively and stuck her chin out.

He nodded. "Let's go."

She followed him back to the school. Why did they have to ruin her first day for her! First it was that red idiot, now a crazy distant cousin.

~You are quite the mystery, Kara Cahill of the human realm.~

Kara froze. That voice again. She looked around, her ears straightened to pick up any weird sound. Nothing. Hurrying, she followed Dimitri in and he led her to a gym like room.

"This place is sound proof, we can't see outside and can't be seen from outside." He said and turned to her. He raised an eyebrow and regarded her.

"I didn't do anything wrong. I was with Klaus and we were ambushed. I haven't even seen her at all. I did nothing to provoke them. Honest, I really tried keeping a low profile. Only that red idiot annoyed me." Kara explained, clenching and unclenching her fists.

The air got colder.

"Tone down the emotions, control it!" Dimitri hissed at her and she blinked in realisation.

"Sorry."

"The reason why we are here is because of what I saw in your fight. You held back Kara and even so, you still broke some bones. Those weren't amateurs." He advanced towards her.

Kara held her hand up and said. "I just did what you taught me. Nothing more. I didn't change into the white wolf like you said."

"No no you didn't. You managed to change some parts of you. But that's not what I want to know. Whenever we fought, that I trained you, you held back didn't you?" He asked, crossing his arms and tapping his feet.

"I didn't."

"Don't patronise me Kara."

"I'm not. Honestly I don't know. This is the first time I've felt fully threatened." Her lips quivered as she spoke. "And I didn't use my powers, honest."

Dimitri sighed. "I know you didn't. I want to see what you are capable of."

He pulled off his jacket. Klaus, Hartridge and Liv walked in, Liv locked the door. Dimitri came to stand before Kara.

"You are going to fight me." He said simply.

Kara frowned and looked at the others, then at him. "What... no no I can't just fight you."

"Dimitri what are you up to?" Hartridge asked.

"Just watch. "He replied then turned to Kara. "I'm going to come at you with all my might. Imagine that I want to kill you, I'll fight you like that's what I want to do."

Kara backed away shaking her head. "I won't fight you."

And he punched her face. She fell to the floor, her head spinning as the others gasped.

"Come on Alpha, that was nothing." Dimitri taunted.

He kicked her in the tummy and she rolled away. She was starting to get pissed off again. When he came at her again, she grabbed his leg and slammed him to the floor. Quickly, he kicked her in the stomach, as she stood over him, with so much force that she fell to the other side of the room.

"Dimitri..." Hartridge stopped talking.

As Kara stood up and wiped her already bleeding nose, the atmosphere chilled and it was like they were staring at someone else. Lily recognised that Kara. The one she had met in Kara's head. Her eyes flicked white and with lightening speed, she punched Dimitri in the guts. Before he could recover, her elbow collided with his chin and he staggered to the back.

Wiping his chin with the back of his hand, Dimitri grinned. "Now we are talking."

He attacked her and instead of defending herself, she attacked back and put him on the defensive side. Her hits were accurate, fast and hard. He couldn't keep up. She grabbed his neck and raised him up, surprising everyone. Staring straight into her eyes, he saw it lacked emotions. Her eyes had gone ruthless wolf and her scent had changed. It Kara but then it wasn't.

His ribs were broken. His entire body ached all over and he had a feeling some scars would never fade. Her hold on his neck was getting tighter that he barely managed to propel himself forward and hit her head. She released him and he fell to the floor, coughing up blood. Kara growled, her stance ready to attack him again.

"That is enough!" Hartridge's voice boomed around the room.

Her eyes turned blue and she looked startled. With a groan, she held her left bruised side and turned towards the door. Freezing the handle, she broke the knob and left. Kara couldn't get her emotions under control. Her head was spinning as she traced her way back to her room. She knew what she had done but it still felt like she had been a host in the body.

~What happened to you?~

"Damn it, get out of my head!" She growled out loud.

~Tell me why you are bleeding and slamming into walls.~

Kara turned abruptly but found no one in the hallway with her. She ran to her room, slamming her shoulders on the wall, and locked the door.

"Get out get out." She screamed back in distress.

Everything she touched froze so she hugged her hands to herself.

~There is something wrong. Something is going on in your head...~

She closed her eyes and tried to picture the hands crawling in her head but she saw none.

"You shouldn't be able to get in my head. What are you? Who are you!" She demanded.

~Truly wolf girl, the question is who are you. There is something you are hiding. I wonder, if I went through the minds of people you've... interacted with, what will I find? (Chuckles) Let's hope I don't squash their mind in the process. ~

Kara gasped and released a blast of power in the process. The lights went off, the entire school was plunged into the dark. She hadn't noticed that night had descended.

"I will kill you if you hurt anyone of my people." She snarled fiercely.

Silence. That was all she heard. The sound of her own heart beat increased her anger. She began pacing the room. She couldn't go out, her emotions were all over the place.

Kara closed her eyes and slide to the floor by the wall. She took herself to her mind house, silently feeling for the presence of the person. He hadn't gotten past her shield so she went outside the shield. The house disappeared and it looked like she had walked into a forest.

Looking closely, it looked like the forest beyond the school. She became wary, so this was how powerful mind weavers could be. She perceived his smell before she saw him. His smell was mixed with the forest, it was of leaves and earth but slightly different. Slightly calming.

He wore all black with a mask covering his face, there was a sword by his side. When he moved, he was quiet.

With lightening speed, he attacked her. If she hadn't spotted him, he could have killed her. She was sure it was possible to die in her head.
