The Future

Author pov

" You should take your friends and leave this area as fast as you can," Gabi warned the teen.

Yuji shook his head in disagreement with Gabi's request, " I will take them somewhere safe but I refuse to run away."

A sigh left Gabi's lips, "Don't be stubborn. Go now-"

"I said I won't run away!" Yuji shouted as he straightened up his posture to look straight into Gabi's eyes. "I want to help."

Gabi sucks his teeth cause he knew it was pointless to even argue with the teen but he does enjoy seeing his bravery. Deep down inside he smiled to himself cause he could see why his twin was fond of Yuji.

"Okay, take your friend to the others and I will handle Higanbana while my incompetent supposedly partners take their naps."

Yuji dragged his feet away from Gabi to head toward Todo's and Maki's direction but he stopped midway to take a final look at Gabi before they parted.

"I don't know the full details between you and Sensei but he feels like crap about what happened to you."

Gabi cocked his head to fully see him, "Hmm, what are you getting at?"

"I'm saying is that don't die, Sensei and others will be torn. Also me. You saved my life just back there and my friend's life. I at least want us to enjoy a meal together to repay my thankfulness. I'm happy you're on our side now." Yuji started to jog away but couldn't help but flash a gummy smile at Gabi. " Be safe and I will be back soon. I promise!"

Gabi shook his head at Yuji but it wasn't anything bad, he just imagined that's how he looked when he was younger. However, Gabi knew he had to shake those memories out because of what he was about to engage in.

"Higanbana . . . I will put an end to this," he muttered to himself.

Gabi pov

Gabi wasted no time and hastily went to Gojo, his sight was braced with the oversized Daruma doll putting immense pressure above Gojo's body, as the second passed the lower the ground was sinking.

( Although Gojo's curse technique is saving him from being squished, it must be a pain in the ass to feel all of that weight.)

Oni appeared from Gabi's shadows and without any idle chat, he went straight to business. Oni pulled his blade that's made of darkness and stood in Hidar Jordan No Kamae's stance and slashed down with brute strength to cut the cursed spirit in half to free Gojo.

"I knew you would come for me," Satoru said as he jumped out of the ditch. " Thank you, Gabimaru."

Gabi just walked away and soon picked up his speed as he was heading towards Makima now. "I'm sorry I couldn't make it to save . . ."

"I know. He wouldn't want us to dwell on his death when we are not finished with this mess. You saved the students and that's what really matters, he's happy enough for that." Gojo cut him off and Gabi left it at that.

"I have a feeling Maki is already at it again. There is fighting between Higanbana and her."

" Of course, she would. That woman crossed the line for taking Misumi. That girl means the world to Makima. She a lot of unpleasant words that I can't say out loud but she loves that girl . . . and you."

Gabi didn't say anything nor show a slight emotion because he didn't know what to say or believed he deserved her love. Nevertheless Misumi love. They're suffering cause of his selfish actions.

"You guys are her world although she might not show it to you right now. I'm just letting you know because who knows what might take place. I underestimate tonight and I won't do that further." Gojo finishes off as they continue to the spot where they are heading.

( I make sure they both are fine, even if I'm not in that picture. Honesty speaking I don't belong in that picture.)

" Yeah, that's Makima alright," Gojo spoke up, breaking Gabi from his thought to see the woman trying to throw punches at HiganbanA as the cursed spirit uses her daughter as a manipulation tactic to make it harder for Makima to fight.

Gabi jumped in between the three of them and swept up Makima in bridal style to retreat. He made sure his grip didn't go loose despite hearing the woman yelling and punches that were packed with rage. Once he put her down near Gojo her punches didn't stop as tears were brimming to her eyes.

"Why . . . are . . . you . . . stopping . . . me.?" each punch was getting lighter as her voice started to break down and it was getting hard for the two men to understand her properly. Once that last punch hit directly in the middle of his chest, he held her wrist to halt her further movements and brought her close to him. Gabi smoothly wipes the stranded tears on her cheeks and deeply gazes into her eyes. Every single emotion lingers in his blue orbs and she was being drawn into it.

" You have to get a grip on yourself. She is toying with you. I know this is my fault and I will bring Misumi back to you. All you have to do is one thing although I can understand if you don't want to."

Makima slightly nodded her head, " What's that?" she softly asked.

" Trust me. I need both of you to trust me and each other." Gabi switched sights between Makima's eyes and Gojo who stood a few inches behind her. A faint smile was rising from the corner of Gojo's lips as Makima started to regain her strength. Her palms were flat on Gabi's bare chest feeling the skin that she once felt. She suddenly stopped herself when he saw his blue orbs were painted in confusion at her action. She saved face and turned around away from him.

"I'm sorry I embarrassed myself. It won't happen again you white-haired freaks."

"That the Makima I remembered." Gojo was about to sling his arm around Makima and Gabi's shoulders simultaneously but Makima dodged his arm and kept on walking as Gabi simply blocked it.

"Don't touch me or else I will get acne in my face," Makima utters.

"Don't you dare," Gabi nonchalantly said.

Gojo stared at them in disbelief at how they were treating him but he didn't let that stop him cause they were about to enter the lion's den. The three of them faced the arrogant curse who stood before them. She was on top of a twenty-foot great tree made of her vines with Misumi on the side of her as the surrounding area was nothing but rubble and dust. It was no sight of the Shibuya streets that were once known. Higanbana's arms were crossed with disgust appearing on her face and it was aimed at the person who betrayed her love. As for Gabi, only rage consumed his eyes, the vines violently wanting to burst out from his neck and fist.

" Do you guys trust me?" Gabi asks the two one more time before it begins. Without a doubt, both of them said yes in sync.

" Raijin and Fujin, come out." Gabi whispers and the two brothers rise from his shadows.

" FREEDOM AT LAST AND DESTRUCTION SHALL COME!" Raijin obnoxiously spoke trying to control his happy hands from smacking his drums. Fuijin embarrassingly shook his head at his brother wishing to duct tape his mouth.

Gojo secretly analyzed the two curses in the air slightly above them as Makima stood there expressionless, not caring for their existence. Higanbana was unimpressed and scoffed at summoning what Gabimaru brought. " I find this as a sign of disrespect. Using my creations against me." she jumped from the top of the great tree and landed elegantly on the ground as Misumi followed behind. " Enough prolonging, let's end this." not a second later Higanbana closed her sensu and sprinted to them as Misumni followed her movements.

The three sorcerers stood on guard, " Raijin and Fujin get ready." Gabi hastily ordered.

Raijin began rapidly smacking his drums as Fujin pulled his sack off his back. The bright stars in the nighttime sky disappeared as the clouds started to form. Lightening and thunders were coming forth as the ground shook with a vengeance to side along with Mother Nature. This was the last battle to dictate the future of the world and the sorcerers were eager to put an end to this.
