Capture the Flag 2

Dashing to the side Atlas wove under another blast that ripped through the forest behind him splintering thick tree trunks with the force of the glowing arrow-like lasers.

Weaving between them with practised grace and ease Atlas let out a slow breath, he felt like his body was loaded with energy, ready to explode.

Each movement carried him meters and dented the dirt beneath him with a shattering impact.

He felt powerful, he felt free.

But he knew this wasn't enough.

Dodging laser after laser he knew that he could end this fight in a single moment but that would give him anything, he had to put himself in a circumstance that would allow him to grow, one that would challenge him to be greater than he was.

Watching as the lasers he dodged twisted through the air and spiraled back towards him, twisting strands of light coiling through the air with shocking momentum he started to tear his way towards Mayumi, weaving between the nets of light she wove to catch him.

Crashing into the ground as he leapt over another beam he felt the shock travel through his legs before he leaped into the air as he heard her yell. "Take me seriously god damn it! What is your technique!"

Crashing back into the ground it only took him two more steps before he passed her and as she turned around to face him he could only laugh as he said, "I'll let you know when I find out." As he brought his hand down hard on the back of her neck.

Catching her body before it hit the ground he lowered her down to the ground. Well, that wasn't that fun at all. She was good, but he was just too quick, he hadn't even needed to use his property to weave between the attacks, and she had sent out a lot of them.

Looking up he saw Gojo in the air surrounded by thousands of threads a good distance away, an orb around him that was ready to snap shut binding him.

But it couldn't it was held back by the infinity that was Gojo's technique.

Seeing that he had it alright he decided to go back to the flag for now, if he saw anything interesting he would get involved but he had already realized something. He had surpassed almost everyone. He needed a bigger challenge, a higher cliff to climb.

---

Focusing on his technique Gojo stopped the oncoming rocks and trunks that Genki through towards him with his stings. The hundreds of threads that wove around the field were used as springboards for the older boy who darted around.

Every time Gojo thought he caught him he was able to pull himself out of the attack using those damn threads and the longer the fight went on the more red string was left behind.

The air was almost full of it and before he realized it he was surrounded by the red string that was trying to close in on him like the jaws of a predator locking him down to his defeat but he wouldn't have that. No, he was the strongest, he would not be defeated by something so simple as thread.

Pushing his infinity to what he could the string was forced away from him, unable to get closer as he slapped his hands together in front of him, his eyes glowing with a blue light as he looked at Genki and said, "Limitless: Blue!" A large blue ball started to form between his hands before Gojo landed on the ground, the blue orb tearing a hole through the cage of string.

Hitting the floor in the middle of the threaded battleground Gojo spun in a circle, the blue orb staying in front of him as it orbited his body like a moon, pulling everything towards him as it ripped string to pieces and tore all trees and rock into itself. Carving a giant grove into the ground until Gojo was standing on a small island facing Genki who wore a shocked expression.

The battlefield that he was setting up had been torn to shreds by one attack. There was nothing left for him to tie his threads off of. Dashing backwards with a single leap he tried to get out of here. There was no way he could beat the monster before him.

Radiating a light from his eyes Gojo looked at the retreating Genki with a smile on his face, "Come on we aren't done yet." As he pointed at the older boy in a similar way Atlas pointed when he used his beam attacks.

Feeling a sudden force at his navel his backwards momentum disappeared in an instant as he was suddenly dragged through the air at insane speeds towards Gojo.

Getting ready to defend from an attack he crossed his arms over his face just for a fist to impact his crossed forearms with enough force to send him tumbling back and crashing into the freshly carved grove that was made.

Slamming into the dirt he felt spittle and blood come out of his mouth as his bones shook from the impact, he heard, the crack as they snapped from the impact.

This was bullying.

Walking to the edge of the island Gojo looked down and said, "I was expecting more, you are nothing when compared to Atlas."

Who was this fucking Atlas Genki was hearing so much about!

Konno and Sonoda had found one of the first years wandering through the forest relaxed as anything, they thought it would be easy pickings before they made their way to the flag as well but no. They were getting their asses handed to them.

Creating another blinding flash of light it didn't seem to do anything to the four-legged spirit that barreled towards him, tearing through trees and rocks that stood in its path until it impacted him sending him flying through the air and into a thick trunk.

Feeling the impact shake his body he gasped for air as it was forced from his lungs. The tight feeling in his chest came back as the spirit put a foot against his torso.

"RUN SONODA!" he yelled to the girl that was bolting towards him to try and save him but she couldn't do anything as a long spindly arm of a lanky spirit suddenly swept in front of her and tried to grab her only to be stopped by one of her generated force fields.

It was going to be easy, they hit the kid with a flash then she was going to box him in force fields as he frantically tried to attack them back and wore himself out.

It was going to be funny!

Seeing him summon the giant turtle spirit and roll under it before it exhaled enough steam to blind them completely she was glad they were not hit by it directly as she had watched bark shredded from trees without resistance by the steam.

Now she was being slapped around by these handed spirits. One was insanely lanky and nimble and the other she couldn't even get a look at as it attacked her from behind over and over.

As she blocked the strike from the lanky one she felt a hand grab her front behind wrapping around her torso and holding her tight enough it was hard to breathe.

Still rubbing his eyes Geto stepped out from the steamy fog and said, "damn you caught me by surprise, I was having such a nice walk." His voice was amused as he lifted his chin up to scratch his neck casually.

"You're dead when Genki finds us!" The boy suddenly yelled as a loud crash resounded through the forest, lighting up the clearing fog with a brilliant blue that shone against the trunks of the tree. Feeling the ground shake Geto laughed as he looked down at the boy as the legged spirit applied a bit more pressure.

"Something tells me he has already been taken care of," Geto said as he didn't even wait for a response, kicking the boy across the head and knocking him out cold.

Just as the girl started to scream the boy's name a chop to the back of her neck by the lanky spirit was enough to knock her out cold too.

Walking forward again as his spirits once more went back into his inky portals he just smiled.

It really was a lovely day.

Walking into the fight between Tatsuo and Takahashi Atlas watched as they beat the shit out of each other exchanging blow for blow easily, Tatsuo's fiery fists had heavily distorted the armour and even broke off entire chunks of it. Although he was bearing wounds of his own.

Covering his body were cuts and some gashes that let the blood run down his side, dripping onto the forest floor. It didn't matter how looked at it… Tatsuo was going to lose.

Stepping over Atlas used a single kick and sent Takahashi smashing through a few trees before he lay unmoving on the ground as the dust settled, his golden armour slowly falling off his body in flakes that gradually turned to dust.

"What did you do that for!" Tatsuo yelled although the sudden raising of his voice caused him to drop down to one knee.

"God you have lost a lot of blood but I didn't know your brain cells went with it. You were losing genius so I just helped you. Now come on, we are going back to the flag." Grabbing the weakly squirming Tatsuo by the back of his shirt collar and carrying him like an angry cat Atlas couldn't help but chuckle.

Using some positive energy he healed the worst of the wounds that the boy had before teleporting to the flag to see what the situation was.

Arriving he looked and saw that two kids sat against a tree unconscious, Torio still sat on the pile of boulders although a pissed-off look was on his face as he was arguing with Gojo about something.

Counting the members that he saw he made some assumptions. He defeated Mayumi, he saw a first year and a second year and then Takahashi was a second year so that made two of them. Gojo had defeated Genki so that left two second years unaccounted for.

Geto had probably handled them though if he ran into them. Where was he anyway?

---

Walking into the clearing Geto saw the flag and smiled, well that was nice!

Walking up to it he picked it up from where it was before turning around and making his way out of the clearing with the unwieldy thing over his shoulder. Seeing the multiple destroyed trees and the unconscious third year he just nodded his head. Atlas must have been here.

Starting his leisurely walk back to the rock pile he yawned. The sun was making him tired.

Summoning the turtle he climbed up onto its back and lay down. Letting the warm sun wash over him. This was relaxing, he had expected the game to have a bit more happen but this was nice too.

---

As Geto walked into the clearing with the flag and saw his teammates sitting around Atlas smiled from his spot on top of the rocks. "The king returns to his people carrying the head of his enemies! All praise King Geto!" Atlas yelled drawing everyone's attention to Geto who was sitting on the back of the slow-moving turtle with the flag held over his head.

"Praise him!" He heard Gojo say sarcastically from the side.

Smiling down at the first year Atlas said, "Good job Geto."

It didn't take long before the first game came to an end with a crushing victory for Tokyo.
