"What in the world?"
"The Celestials came to Earth millions of years ago and even waged war against Odin?"
"Why have I never heard of this before?"
"And does Sprite know about it?"
You should know that, besides their leader Ajak, none of the other Eternals have direct contact with the Celestials. And Ajak has never told them anything about this. Considering their respect and awe for the Celestials, Sprite wouldn't randomly imagine things about them in her diary, right? It doesn't make any sense!
Sersi's brows furrowed slightly. She couldn't understand why Sprite would write about the Celestials in her diary and make sure Sersi found it. Was she trying to tell Sersi something? However, after thinking it over, Sersi still couldn't figure out what Sprite's intentions were. So she temporarily calmed down and continued to search for information about the Celestials.
"Ego?"
"A defective member of the Celestials?"
"Is there such a person among the Celestials?"
Well, Sersi didn't know much about the Celestials. Forget about Ego; aside from Arishem, she hadn't heard of any other Celestials. So, she really couldn't distinguish if Sprite's mention of Ego was true or false. She could only continue reading patiently.
Soon, Sersi's expression changed because she came across some shocking information. There was actually a Celestial on Earth? Not only that, but this Celestial was nurtured by absorbing the life energy from all living organisms on Earth, and once fully developed, it would destroy the planet? And the reason the Eternals were eliminating the Deviants was to ensure Tiamut's emergence? What the heck! Did Sprite know what she was talking about? Since when has there been a Celestial on Earth? When were the Eternals created by the Celestials? They were clearly aliens from Olympia! And to say that the Deviants were also created by the Celestials was even more absurd. The Deviants were the enemies of the Celestials! Just what kind of nonsense and dangerous ideas was Sprite writing about!
Sersi couldn't bear it any longer. She abruptly stood up, heading to the living room with the diary in hand, and turned off the music in one swift motion.
"Hey, Sersi!" Sprite was displeased. She was really enjoying herself. But when she looked up and saw Sersi's extremely serious face, she slowly realized something was off.
"What's wrong? What happened?" Sprite sat up straight.
"What does this mean?" Sersi shook the diary in her hand. "Where did you hear about these things concerning the Celestials?"
Sprite took a careful look at Sersi, becoming more and more confused. Sersi's stance suggested she was holding something, but her hands were clearly empty!
"I don't understand, Sersi. What's going on?" Sprite blinked her big eyes, still looking puzzled.
"Ginger, this..." Sersi tried to ask Sprite what was happening, but as soon as she was about to mention "diary," an inexplicable force choked her throat, preventing her from speaking. Sersi clutched her neck in pain and dropped to her knees.
"Sersi! What's wrong with you?" Sprite was shocked and rushed over to check on Sersi, but she couldn't find anything wrong. Moreover, Sersi soon recovered, leaving Sprite bewildered.
"Sersi, what just happened?" Sprite was completely at a loss, a bit rattled. "You scared me."
"I don't know what happened either." Sersi was equally confused. After thinking for a long time, she still couldn't figure it out and had to let it go. She turned her attention back to the diary on the ground.
"Ginger." She picked up the diary, intending to ask Sprite again. But as soon as she tried, the same thing happened, and she fell to the floor clutching her throat again.
"It's the diary!"
"It's this diary!"
After several attempts, Sersi finally figured it out. She couldn't mention the diary to outsiders! Whenever she tried, that mysterious force would stop her. She was genuinely shocked; she had never encountered anything so bizarre before. This seemingly ordinary diary turned out to be far from simple!
By now, Sersi also realized that the diary wasn't Sprite's doing. Sprite could only create illusions and deceive people's eyes, not create real objects. And this diary? Not only was it tangible, but it also contained some sort of incredible power. Not only did it prevent Sersi from disclosing it, but, as Sersi repeatedly confirmed, Sprite couldn't even perceive its existence!
"So, what's with this diary? What's the deal here?" Sersi fell into deep thought.
"So, Sersi, this thing I can't see and you can't disclose, is it a threat?" "Do you think we need to contact Ajak and the others?" Sprite, visibly frightened by Sersi's earlier "episode," couldn't help but make the suggestion cautiously.
"No, I think not for now," Sersi said after a moment of thought, shaking her head. For the moment, aside from the inability to talk about it, the mysterious diary hadn't caused any harm. But even so, Sersi didn't dare to be careless and was contemplating whether to contact Ajak. The reason was simple: the information revealed in the diary was too shocking to ignore. Considering the diary's peculiarity, the "explosive secrets" it contained couldn't be easily dismissed.
"However, 'it' did reveal some disturbing information," Sersi said to Sprite after a pause. Without delaying any further, she shared everything the diary revealed about the Celestials and the Eternals with Sprite.
Sprite was stunned after hearing it all. No wonder—those revelations about the Celestials were too shocking, shaking even Sprite to her core.
"I think we need to find Ajak!" Sprite said earnestly to Sersi. Sersi hesitated for a moment before nodding in agreement. After exchanging a glance, they took out a communication orb that hadn't been used for centuries.
Swish!
Soon, a warm and kind face was projected in front of Sersi and Sprite. It was Ajak, their long-unseen leader! The one who had initially revealed her intention to betray Arishem to Ikaris and was killed by him for it. Trusting the wrong person cost her dearly.
"Sersi, Sprite, I was just thinking, I must be a failed leader. Although I disbanded the team, it's hard to believe no one has contacted me for so long," Ajak's voice spoke up as she greeted her two subordinates and friends with a smile.
"I wanted to, but you know, Sersi and Ikaris were too busy enjoying their private world!"
Sprite laughed as she explained.
"I broke up with Ikaris last century."
Sersi rolled her eyes at Sprite.
"Hey, Ajak, I think we need to meet."
After exchanging greetings, Sersi straightened her face and said to Ajak, "What's going on?"
Ajak knew that Sersi and Sprite wouldn't suddenly reach out unless something was up.
"Something I can't judge or decide," Sersi said, not going into too much detail.
Ajak didn't press further and just nodded, "I'm in South Dakota. I built a small house myself, and I haven't had any visitors for hundreds of years. I think you'll like it."
They agreed to meet there.
...
[Diary update quota reached.]
[Congratulations to Zhou Cheng, the owner of the diary, for receiving a random gift box!]
Inside the mansion, a voice sounded in his ear.
Zhou Cheng couldn't help but rub his hands together, a look of great anticipation in his eyes. Blind box time had arrived again! This had become one of Zhou Cheng's few remaining pleasures.
Up until now, Zhou Cheng had possessed the diary for nearly four years. Unlike the time he had just been reborn into the Marvel universe and was a weakling, Zhou Cheng now had undergone an earth-shaking transformation in strength due to the diary's teachings.
Looking at the entire Earth, except for that old woman the Ancient One, Zhou Cheng was confident he wouldn't lose to anyone. He was even a formidable presence in the entire galaxy.
So at this point, Zhou Cheng viewed the diary's rewards more like a lucky draw, a thrill of unveiling the unknown.
[Item: Intelligence Body]
[Attribute: Artificial Intelligence]
[Origin: Mission Impossible 7: Dead Reckoning]
[Detailed Description: A super artificial intelligence capable of infiltrating any digital program and arbitrarily modifying and distorting all digital information it encounters. It can even predict human behavior.]
Whoosh!
In the next moment, under Zhou Cheng's attentive gaze, a light flashed on the diary.
A surge of corresponding information appeared in Zhou Cheng's mind.
"Mission Impossible 7? Intelligence Body? Nice, nice!" Zhou Cheng was instantly very satisfied.
He hadn't expected the diary to reward him with artificial intelligence this time. In this modern, information-driven era, the impact of artificial intelligence is massive. Especially one that is evidently ahead of its time and comes with superpowers.
Zhou Cheng knew about the Intelligence Body from the movie. While he couldn't confidently say how it compared to J.A.R.V.I.S., there was one thing that fit his needs perfectly: The Intelligence Body could arbitrarily alter any digital information!
Just how extensively could it alter? In the movie, the Intelligence Body could erase anyone from surveillance systems in real time. It wasn't about taking the surveillance footage and editing it, but altering the data in the surveillance system in real time, making the target person transparent and invisible to all cameras, turning them into a real ghost. It could even transform the target person to look like someone else in real time on camera.
For Zhou Cheng, this was incredibly convenient. Although he now had top-notch hacking skills to delete his information from the web, it was still too passive. No matter how quickly the info was deleted, traces still remained.
But the Intelligence Body? It could do it without leaving a trace!
From now on, Zhou Cheng could flaunt his abilities without worrying about exposure. No camera could capture him! It was perfect.
Furthermore, the Intelligence Body had a significant advantage over J.A.R.V.I.S.; it didn't need a server. It operated in the cloud, meaning it existed on the internet, akin to Ultron's free movement in the network. This meant anywhere covered by the internet was the Intelligence Body's terminal, eliminating the need for Zhou Cheng to carry any terminal equipment.
This reward was very satisfying for Zhou Cheng.
"Intelligence Body," Zhou Cheng thought and summoned it.
"Sir, what are your orders?" a voice instantly responded from Zhou Cheng's phone.
"Monitor the entire network and delete all my residual information."
"Build a basic defense system to isolate any investigations from any agencies or individuals. I don't want my life disturbed."
"Besides that, keep an eye on major events."
Zhou Cheng gave the order without hesitation.
"Please define 'major events'."
"You can look through my search and browsing history to understand my preferences."
"Understood!"
The Intelligence Body immediately acknowledged and began faithfully executing Zhou Cheng's commands.
Constructing a defense system was a breeze, completed in less than a second. From then on, there was no information about Zhou Cheng left on the internet.
Should Zhou Cheng appear in any surveillance footage, his image would be automatically erased, becoming a completely invisible man.
The efficiency of the Intelligence Body was impressive, leaving Zhou Cheng very satisfied. However, it didn't find any major events, not because it was incompetent, but because, apart from Loki and a few future Avengers, nothing significant had happened recently.
New York had actually been peaceful. Through the Intelligence Body's searches, it was confirmed that Loki and Thor had already left Earth. This meant the Battle of New York had indeed become a thing of the past, or rather, had never happened.
This made Zhou Cheng quite reflective. He recorded his thoughts in his diary:
[Loki and Thor have been away from Earth for months, and the Chitauri never invaded.]
[It seems this world's Battle of New York isn't going to happen.]
[Or rather, the Battle of New York in this world was just Loki's solo invasion!]
[This kind of Battle of New York is unheard of, given that it's Marvel's first major event!]
[If the Chitauri didn't show, then Marvel's second major event, the Age of Ultron, likely won't occur either, right?]
[After all, Tony wouldn't have been traumatized by the Chitauri!]
[Well, it's not absolute.]
[If the Avengers attack the Hydra base in Sokovia and encounter Scarlet Witch, it's still possible.]
[Tony creating Ultron, one significant reason was Scarlet Witch's magic, showing him visions of the Avengers' demise!]
[Just wondering, has Wanda become Scarlet Witch yet?]
[She nearly swept the entire Avengers team upon her debut! Seems like everyone except Barton got hit, right?]
