JAUNE ARC POV
It didn't take him long to understand why Glynda was here.
Not with the way she stared at Pyrrha whenever Pyrrha is fighting against Beowolves.
Though if Ozpin really wanted to spy on Pyrrha and her capabilities, then he could understand why he didn't send Dr. Oobleck.
Ozpin didn't trust his other teachers like he trusted Glynda.
He would be lying if he said that he wasn't tempted to Shroud Glynda.
She was beautiful, strong, and experienced.
But with how close she was to Ozpin, the old man would no doubt realize that something was wrong with his trusted associate and…
Yeah. That wouldn't work.
An old Beowolf tried to sneak up on him but he sensed it coming thanks to his Telekinesis power which gave him a good idea of everything around him in a 15-meter radius.
Not to mention that he could also hear its footsteps with his enhanced hearing despite how discreet it was trying to be.
The Beowolf jumped at him but before it could reach him, he spun around and hit it with the flat of his blade.
Its mask cracked from the hit and it went flying away.
Hits like these make him want to pick up a steel baseball bat and start breaking Grimm skulls.
That certainly seems more interesting than cutting them up in half.
Plus, it was not like these low-level Grimm were of any danger to him.
Even Ruby and Weiss didn't need to exert themselves when fighting these Grimm.
In fact, the thought of splitting up the team and going on his own did cross his mind more than a few times but he knew better than to act upon it.
That was exactly how people die in C-grade horror movies.
The boring task of Grimm extermination eventually took him to the end of the town where he got to see a huge horde of Goliath and…
He remembered this scene from the Series. This was where Dr. Oobleck took Ruby to check the parameter and she saw those Giant Elephant Grimm for the first time.
Except, the herd of Goliath she saw in the series was small. It didn't even have a dozen Goliath in it.
But this herd. It was anything but small.
And it wasn't being led by a Goliath but by a Megoliath. One that towered above the Goliaths and he could only assume that this was a whole different herd than the one that Ruby saw.
And despite his immense strength, he wasn't sure if he would be able to take on this herd on his own. Not in his human form anyway.
He could understand why Beacon was abandoned once Grimm like these entered the Academy grounds.
Even the strongest Hunters like Glynda won't stand a chance against a Grimm herd this large and powerful.
This meant that he would either have to eliminate them right now or risk having them interfere with his support if the Wyvern Grimm is woken up this time as well.
He thought about it for a moment before he dialed Raven's number.
"What is it?" she asked as she took the call after the first ring.
"Come to my location." He said as he stepped around an alley so that Glynda won't see him.
A second later, a circular portal appeared in mid-air and Raven stepped through it.
She was about to say something when her gaze went to the large Grimm her and she paused.
"Is that horde the reason why you called me here?" she asked.
"Indeed." He said "If we don't take those Grimm out then they'll be a huge hindrance in the upcoming fights. I want them gone."
"Right now?"
"No. And you won't do this on your own. The whole team will help." He said "Tell everyone to bring the High-Quality Military Grade Dust and be prepared for a long fight."
Raven nodded before she swung her sword and created another portal.
Just before she stepped through, she paused and turned to look at him. Then she stepped forward and pulled him into a searing kiss before she quickly turned around and left, the portal closing behind her.
He looked at where the portal had been just a moment ago and shook his head.
This woman…
After his talk with Raven, his team stuck together and they continued the boring job of exterminating the Grimm till evening when Glynda finally decided that she has seen enough and told everyone to gather up inside an old and abandoned building that was relatively intact.
"So which one of you is going to take the first watch?" Glynda asked.
"We will." He said as he pulled Pyrrha toward him.
Glynda didn't even bother to hide her eye roll this time.
"Very well. But if I find you two doing something that you shouldn't be doing then I'll send your team back to Beacon and write this mission off as a failure." Glynda said and went to her own room which was beside their own.
