PYRRHA NIKOS POV
"Are you sure that this is a good idea Jaune?" she asked.
He looked at the Club in front of them and gave her a nervous smile. "Not really. I've never even been to a club before. Did you know that?"
"No." She replied. "And if it's any consolation then this is my first time going to a club as well."
He gave her another nervous smile before he clapped his cheeks, his expression turning grim and serious in an instant as he walked forward toward their location.
They were stopped at the door for being underaged but a generous tip from Jaune had those men facing the other way.
They entered through the door and for a moment she was overcome by how loud and dark everything was.
Thankfully, the club was filled with people so it shouldn't hard for her and Jaune to blend in.
She was just grateful to have a hood that'll hide her hair. This was the last place that where she wanted to be recognized by someone.
Jaune took her hand and they walked through the crowd dancing on the dance floor before they finally arrived at the bar.
Jaune immediately saw their target and moved toward the owner of the club and the information dealer known as Junior.
Jaune walked up to the man and stood beside him, waiting.
She tried not to fidget as the man didn't acknowledge Jaune for a long moment.
But after a while, Junior turned around and frowned.
"Aren't you a bit too young to be here?" Junior asked.
"I heard that you have information that I might be interested in." Jaune said as he turned to face the older man.
She had no doubt that if things went wrong then she would be able to defeat Junior, the twins, and the rest of Junior's men. But that would expose her identity and she didn't want that to happen.
"What information might you be interested in?" Junior asked, showing a bit of disinterest as he ordered the Bartender for another drink.
"This." Jaune said as he handed a crystal of High-grade Military Dust to Junior.
Junior paused what he was doing and took the crystal from Jaune before scrutinizing it. A moment later, all the disinterest was gone from his face. His eyes sharpened as he looked at Jaune.
"Where did you get this kid?"
Jaune raised an eyebrow but didn't reply.
Junior paused and then took a deep breath "This is High-Grade Military Dust kid. It's highly illegal for a civilian or even a Hunter-in-training to own it and definitely not something that you should carry around on your person." Junior returned the crystal back to Jaune who pocketed it "That said. You now have my interest. How can I help you?"
"I'm looking for a buyer for some High-Grade Military Dust."
Junior stayed silent for a moment before he asked "How much of it do you have?"
"10 pounds." Jaune replied.
Junior tapped his glass and stayed silent for a long moment before he finally sighed "I can set up a meeting with someone who might be interested in that Dust. But that put you on their radar. Or… You can sell it to me."
"And I'm assuming you want a discount for that?" Jaune said it as a matter of statement than a question.
"Smart kid." Junior replied "But yes. I won't pay you as much for the Dust. But you also won't be in any danger."
Jaune thought about it for a moment before he nodded "Give me a number."
So Junior did.
Jaune and Junior negotiated over the price for a bit longer before they finally settled on a set price.
Jaune set up a meeting for the exchange of the goods during their next weekend and exchanged numbers with Junior before they finally turned and left the club.
Once they were at a safe distance away from the club, she turned to him and asked "Did you get what you wanted?"
Jaune looked at his Scroll which showed the image of one of the Malachite twins and nodded.
"Yes." He said, looking a bit sick over the whole thing.
She put an arm over his shoulder for comfort and he closed his eyes for a moment.
"What do we do next?" she asked.
"For now… nothing." Jaune shrugged "If we move too fast then Junior might get suspicious. We need to wait for a while and Scout where these two live. After that… I would rather this be done quietly Pyrrha. If we're going to do this then you need a disguise… and another weapon that won't link back to you."
She nodded "Shall we return. Ruby and Weiss might be waiting for us."
He nodded, looking more tired than she had ever seen him.
She could see that the decision was weighing heavily on him.
She took his hand and intertwined her fingers with his own.
"It'll turn alright Jaune."
Jaune gave her a bitter smile but then nodded before he started moving toward their rendezvous point, their hands still intertwined.
