NARUTO/JAUNE ARC POV

(AN: Jaune will be called Naruto from here on out in order to avoid confusion.)

He woke up had a moment of dissonance as he stared at the apartment that he had been living in for a few years and the apartment that he saw for the first time last night.

The dissonance became a little bit stronger when he realized that the body he was in was smaller than what he was used to.

Then the memories of last night came rushing to his mind and he yawned before getting out of his bed.

After using the Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu and defeating Mizuki, he and Iruka Sensei went to return the Scroll of Seals to the Hokage while Mizuki was carted off by the Anbu. Probably to the Torture and Interrogation department.

He asked the Hokage some pointed questions about having the 9 tails fox within him and the Hokage told him everything related to this topic.

Thankfully, the Hokage didn't realize that there was something wrong with him and he wasn't carted off to the T&I Department as well and was allowed to return to his Apartment.

With a new Konoha headband.

He walked around the room, making sure not to step on the garbage scattered around, and opened the curtains.

The light shined through and he took a proper look at the room.

The room was nothing compared to his bedroom back in his mansion.

But for an orphan living in medieval society? This was pretty decent.

He could see that the Hokage had made sure that Naruto will be able to live a decent life even if the old man wasn't able to protect him from the hatred of the villagers.

A good thing as this showed just how much the Hokage cared for Naruto.

Now if only this room would not be so cluttered.

Cleaning the room on his own will take a while. But he had a trick to bypass that problem.

He made the hand signs and poured a small amount of chakra through his tenketsu points.

A moment later, 8 Shadow Clones popped into the room.

He rubbed his chin.

He had only wanted to create 3 of them. It looked like he really needed a lot of Chakra Control training before he could do anything else.

"I'm going to the bathroom. Clean up this room as well as the kitchen before I return." He said and moved to the bathroom where he learned that even if this village was kinda medieval, it still had plumbing and proper toilets.

Thank the gods for small mercies.

By the time he freshened up, his Shadow Clones had done their job and had cleaned the room. In fact, they had gone a step further and had not only disposed of the trash but had also brought new groceries from the nearest shop. Under the Transformation Jutsu of course because of the hatred the villagers held for him.

One of the Shadow clones was even cooking for him.

He walked up to that Clone.

"Can you use the Faerie Feast?" He asked.

Talking to an aspect of his own self was a strange experience.

The Clone shook his head "No. But you've been cooking for so long that it has become instinctual for you, even if you don't realize it. So while the food probably won't be as good as the ones you make, it'll still be pretty good."

He nodded, feeling a little weirded out even if the information was somewhat interesting.

He went to the study table and looked at all the books and scrolls kept properly on the shelf.

And the Shadow Clones who were now studying there.

Some on the table while others on the bed.

From Naruto's memories, he remembered that the kid was really bad at studying and barely passed his exams. Even by cheating from other students.

Were his Clones trying to fill that gap in knowledge by trying to study?

"Why are you reading this?" He asked one of his Clones.

"Because you don't know it." The Clone replied.

"It's shameful, really." Another clone said "But understandable. Naruto was just a child with no guidance. The fact that he even managed to pass his exams, even if by cheating, is impressive."

"Anyway. How do you want us to address you?" Yet another clone spoke up. "I mean… Naruto's clones called him Boss. Do you want us to call you something else?"

"No. Boss will do." He said, feeling out of place with this whole situation.

He knew that Shadow Clones were an accurate representation of the human who made them and were capable of thinking on their own.

But these clones were acting like real humans.

It was giving him the creeps.

He went back to the kitchen and took a chair and waited for his Clone to finish cooking.

Once the clone was done, he quickly ate his breakfast and decided to go out and explore the village. Maybe check on Ruby as well and see if she was okay.

"How long will you guys last?" He asked his clones.

They looked at each other and then shrugged at him "Our guess is as good as yours. Though judging by the rate at which our Chakra is being used up. Probably between half a day to a day."

He nodded "Well. Continue what you are doing."

He felt like he should say something else. Like 'don't trash the place', 'don't do things that I wouldn't do' or 'don't use up all the money'.

But… if they were capable of thinking and they thought just like him, then they would already know what to do and what not to do.

So in the end, he simply nodded at them and walked out of his apartment.

Time to go and explore this new world.

Or maybe he should go to the Academy first. Since he'll be assigned to a team and be handed over to a Sensei.
