Appearing in the same white hall, Noah began to look for Jason and it wasn't that difficult to locate someone since after the trial, those that made it to the next one were very few in number. After looking around, he finally spotted Jason sitting on the ground with his head buried on his knees.
With a smile on his face, Noah ran towards him. Hearing the sound of footsteps approaching him, Jason raised his head only for him to see Noah coming his way with tears running down his eyes. Jason could not help but let out a smile as he got up to meet up with his friend.
"You made it, I have hope in you this whole time and you didn't let me down" said Jason as he hugged him.
"I made it Jason, and I was thinking I won't be able to pass the trial when I saw you struggling to take the final step since you are better than me" replied Noah in a sobbing tone.
"Don't look down on yourself Noah, there are things you are better on that I don't come close to. Giving up already when you haven't started does not suit you, my friend. And would you stop crying, you are not a baby alright" said Jason with a smile on his face.
With a nod, Noah began to wipe his eyes before talking about the issue at hand with less power making it into the next trial and they were beginning to wonder what the next trial was going to be. Even though it won't be life-threatening, like the first one, they believe whatever the third trial is going to be, it's going to be more difficult compared to the second one.
Just as they were discussing, the blurry figure suddenly made his appearance as he captured the audience's attention with his appearance.
"Congratulations for getting this far humans, and as for your next trial and final trial, you will have to depend on yourself to pass it" said the figure before waving his hand and they were all teleported from the hall to another hall where they could see a gigantic tiger lying on the ground with its eyes closed with a silver door behind it.
"You have all passed the trial given to you by the Supreme one and all that is left for you to do now is decide where you want to go.
Behind that beast is the new life you seek and to make it to the door, you will have to depend on your ability" said the figure in a calm tone.
When the crowd heard what the figure said, they could not help but open their mouths wide as they stared at him in surprise. Before long they begin to voice out.
"we'll have to depend on our ability to make it to the door? Tell me, would you be able to make it if you were in our shoes"?
"you should have just left us to go wherever we are going instead of you treating us like some kind of game".
Just looking at the tiger is enough for them to give up on the trial and now they have been told to make it to the door, Jason was no exception as he has also given up. With the size of the tiger, crushing him with one of is claws won't be a problem for the tiger.
"You are the ones who want a second chance at life and there you have it, so why are you complaining?" said the figure In a cold voice which shut the whole crowd up.
"You only have two options here, either you accept the challenge or you use that door. If you choose to stop now, a reward still awaits you so you have nothing to worry about but you won't have a second chance to live" said the figure once again before swinging his arm, and a portal appeared behind him.
With the appearance of the portal, the crowd became quiet as they began to weigh their options. Looking at the gigantic tiger slumbering in front of the door, they couldn't help but shake in fear and they began to hesitate if they should take the second option since it is near impossible to get past the tiger.
After some thought, some people have already made up their minds and they begin to walk towards the figure with their heads low as they go through the portal quietly. In the end, those that were left did not even number to twenty. They were eighteen including Jason and Noah.
"Jason, instead of accepting this trial, why don't we take the second option since we will still be rewarded for coming this far instead of losing our life here and still ending up with no reward? '' asked Noah, who was a little tempted by the second option.
"You can go ahead and take it, Noah is your choice so I won't stop you but as for me, I want to live a happy life and the only way I could is right before me so there is no way I'm going to let it go" reply Jason with a serious look on his face.
Noah let out a sigh after hearing Jason reply, he really wanted to take the second choice but he didn't want to go alone. Seeing that Jason refused to pick the second option, he decided to do the same.
"I guess I will be stuck to you for a while then" he said with a smiley face mixed with fear.
"ain't you going again"? Asked Jason knowing fully well that Noah would pick the second option.
"What fun would it be if I go alone Jason" replied Noah as he let out a sigh, kind of regretting his action.
Seeing that no one was going through the portal behind him anymore, the figure suddenly spoke up.
"I guess that should be all, Now you can all proceed with the trial. May the Supreme being protects you from danger" he said before clapping his hands together and the portal suddenly disappeared.
