It's Okay!

This is like every other gay love story. Except if the story had a dark mode.

Chapter ~ 4

All Sawyer could think about is how he ruined it, he had his five seconds of romance and now it's all over. Why was he so mad a him? It's been a week and all he has done is drown in his thoughts, trying to solve the mystery. Did he do something during the party? He can't even remember half the night. How did he even get that drunk? So many questions ate at his brain, destroying him bit by bit.

Sawyer was even too nervous to leave a text, what exactly was he supposed to say. He just waited for Hudson to reach out which was like looking for the end of a rainbow. He was waiting for the taxi that never got booked. It hurt him, alot, but he had to let go.

In fact, the rage built up, teaming up with the embarrassment that controlled him. How can Hudson just leave him, like nothing ever happened. The rage wrote all his feelings on a honest but a soon to regret text. In the physics of friendship Hanna had a feeling to check up on Sawyer at the perfect time stopping him from changing the end of his romantic movie, but sometimes heartbreak is the safest ending.

The words 'Where did you end up after the party' glowed up on his phone. This was the first time he ever lied to Hanna. All for a boy. She couldn't know what happened between them because he was simply embarrassed.

'straight home why?' The conversation carried on back and fourth. Sawyer couldn't quite believe he's letting a boy control his life, even if it was a simple lie. He may of been awkward but his stubbornness would never let anyone tell him or guide him on a decision. Sawyer continued his walk to college, looking down at his phone ever so often.

The breeze brushed more feelings onto Sawyer, college was the last challenge he wanted to face today.

"Sawyer? Are you ghosting me?" The wind punched anger into Sawyer, turning around to face Hudson. Sawyer couldn't quite accept the idea of Hudson standing infront of him. The rage came out of Sawyer, standing up for himself. "Ghosted you! I'm not the one who kicked me out with no explanation Hudson" Hudson looked shocked, confused.

"Kicked you out? What are you on about?" Sawyer was trying to piece together what was happening for the next comeback. "So what is it? What is your excuse, your explanation?" He has been waiting for this sentence for a week now. "I wish I could explain to you I do, but how can I explain something I have no memory of?" The anger transformed to confusion and even forgiveness. " Please just tell me if you like me or not because I can't handle being confused about this and I am not the biggest fan of being lead on. I know you barley know me but I know I like you okay?" The words spilled out of his mouth, he had no control. The tears crawled out of Sawyers face, the fear of rejection sent the wave of emotion.

Hudson saw the pain, pulled Sawyer in to his arms. The warmth and the comfort itself cured the pain. "Sawyer Harding will you go on a date with me?" The words wrapped themselves around the heart of Sawyer. Sniffling and wiping away the tears. Sawyer looked up, shocked. He's never been asked a question like this before. "Uhm...yes. Yes!." Hudson just smiled at the redness printed on Sawyers cheeks. "see you at seven pm,dress casual." Sawyer already began taking mental notes on what he would wear, this idea never stopped through the whole day, until he got home.

Casual is exactly what Sawyer went for. Just a plain red shirt nicely tucked into black jeans revealing some of his collar bones. Sawyer was excited for where tonight could lead to. However there was something about Hudson he couldn't quite put his finger on. Something suspicious yet Addictive. It could have been his charming and bold decisions, the way his gorgeous, smokey brown hair was styled perfectly; it could of been his smooth actions. Whatever it was made Sawyer want to forgive him no matter what. That itself is a dangerous type of love to have.

The sun began to set, the sky darkening with an orange glow. Hudson and Sawyer met, walking to their destination, the cool breeze forced Hudson to offer his jacket to Sawyer, Sawyer attempted to refuse although deep down the kindness warmed his heart, Hudson wrapped it round his shoulders anyway.

Both their hands brushing together as they walked, Hudson desperately wanting to hold hands, Sawyer aswell although the thoughts of having sweaty hands killed the idea. However Hudson gripped onto Sawyer's, there hands interlocked as they strolled to there destination; mini golf. Sawyer wasn't to impressed at first, mini golf for the first date?

The gentlemen that Hudson was paid for the both of them. They walked up the first course, a straight rectangular patch of grass with a singular hole lay in front of them. They both began the competition, which was way more fun than Sawyer realised.

"I have failed the past 3 courses while you got all hole in ones?" Hudson already knew what Sawyer was hinting for. Hudson's hands wrapped around Sawyer's waist, the chills sprinted up his spine. His hand slowly gripped Sawyer's to direct him, pulls back and gently swings for the ball. "Boom, hole in one" The movie scene ended and Sawyer giggled in response, craving more physical attention.

"So, I am better at mini golf than you now" Sawyer swings the golf club at Hudson's arse, dodging Hudson's attempt by running to the next course. Hudson wasn't far behind, grabbing his by the waste and lifting him up, both of their laughs combined to make sweet music.

The night went from one upping each other too sabotaging each other, the best night Sawyer has had in a long time. "

Guess who has to buy us a pizza, the loser, you!" The walk of shame Carried Sawyer down the street back to Hudson's place. Little did they know. In the shadows of the dark streets dimly lit by street lamps that have been stood there for years was Sawyer's brother getting the dreaded answer he questioned for a long time.

A large hoodie cuddled Sawyer, pizza sat on the table and Hudson keeping him company was the perfect way to end the night. "I don't have a pizza cutter, but a knife?" Sawyer's confusion was all over his face. "They cut the pizza for you?" This was one of those little moments you weirdly don't forget. The night was just filled of eating, laughter and a lot of obvious flirting.

The time of deep chats took over the night. "What are we?" Sawyer created an awkward silence. Hudson looked up, wiping the his face. "That is a question you never ask,you just see where it goes. Like this." Hudson hand stroked Sawyer's face, his eyes mesmerised Sawyer, he finally leaned in and this time Sawyers lips cor-operate. Both their lips attach to each other, Hudson forcefully slides his tongue into Sawyer's mouth, exploring an unknown place. Hudson's teeth attached to Sawyers bottom lip pulling it gently while he smiles, his hot breath bouncing of Sawyers face.

Hudson flipped Sawyer down on the couch taking control. Quickly ripping off his top and leaning back in on Sawyer, his hands exploring Hudson's soft skin.

"I knew it!" The door bursts open. Hudson jumps off him, Sawyer quickly slides up trying to process why is brother is standing before him. "Does dad know you're a faggot?" Sawyer really could not understand what was going on. "Back off man" Hudson walked towards Ross. "Hudson it's okay, yes dad is very supportive in fact everyone I know is.. Excpet you. Which is why we agreed to keep it a secret until I move out" Sawyer attempted the calm response. "god how could he still accept you" "Because I'm the still the same person Ross".

Hudson's temper was building up. "Do you live in the nighteen hundreds?" Sawyer stopped Hudson from making it worse. "Did you follow us?" Sawyer questioned yet knowing the answer. "of course you did, the exact reason we don't tell you shit" Sawyer couldn't help but laugh this situation off.

"You're disgusting" Ross ran towards Sawyer gripping him and throwing him to the floor. Hudson snapped and dragged Ross off him. "You think you're better than me? You're are both terrible people." Ross smirked and the emotionless face stared back, the face Sawyer seen the morning after the party.

"I am not a terrible person" Hudson screamed on repeat. The anger picked up Hudson's arm and punched Ross several times."Hudson stop!" Sawyer attempted to push him but ended up get shoved back. Sawyers mind wasn't processing any of what was happening.

"You even punch like a faggot" That was the moment that broke Hudson. The knife that lay next to the pizza called out his name, he picked it up and repeatedly shoved the knife into the stomach of Ross. His white shirt absorbed the red wine that slowly spilt, draining the life out of the bottle.

Sawyer couldn't help but freeze to the events that are happening before his eyes. He wished for it all to go away but soon as he opened his eyes his brothers dead body stared at him back. "What the fuck!"
