Herro was still lying on the ground, but he was now formulating his plan. Based on his calculations, jumping upward to disrupt their formation is the best thing to do in this situation.
The crows will not be able to intercept him in time because Herro will surprise them, and they won't be able to use the whirlwind as their turbo since he was in the eye.
After he jumped upwards and reached the center of their formation or the eye, he would immediately kill the crows nearest to him. If he can kill the crows in the center, the formation will crumble.
Herro maintained a sad look on his face, but if you look in his eyes, you will see an unwavering will to fight back.
He indeed lost all hope a moment ago, but it was the best thing he did in this time. If he keeps on fighting and struggling, he will never find the weakness of their formation.
In his case, sometimes it was best to accept everything and surrender when you knew your chances are already zero. Calming down and seeing things from a different perspective will allow you to find the most important thing to save your life.
After Herro finalized his plan, he immediately stood up, and without pausing for even a second, he jumped towards the center of the crows' whirlwind formation.
He was indeed correct about his assumption. The crows were not able to intercept his escape as he had predicted.
The crows were clearly caught in surprise by his sudden action. Even if they sent some of their brethren, they wouldn't be able to intercept him in time.
Herro was like a dragon flying towards the sky as he jumped towards the center of the formation.
He was really elated that his plan actually worked. This even had opened his eyes. He won't surrender easily in the future anymore, but he will be as calm as water and observe every detail whenever he is in a fight or other thing.
He successfully passed through the center of the formation, but his elated expression suddenly vanished when he saw a gigantic white-feathered crow. It looks like an albino in his perspective since it has red eyes and a white complexion.
It was as if time had paused when Herro eyes met the fierce red eyes of the white gigantic crow. All the plan that was running in his head had vanished instantly. The only thing that Herro had in his vision is the Gigantic White crow, and the only thing that he felt is despair.
While Herro was still in mid-air, the crow used its wing to slap Herro away. Herro flew away for about a hundred meters. He looks like a kite with severed strings that flew in the distance.
Herro felt pain in every part of his body. Bones are broken, and anyone could find wounds and bruises in his body.
He immediately coughed three mouthfuls of blood after he was smashed in a couple of different buildings.
Herro started to feel dizzy, and his vision started to blackout at the same time. He tried to get up, but all of his strength has already escaped his body.
Because of his severe wounds throughout his body and some broken bones, every movement that Herro made will result in low painful hoarse moans.
The crows, especially making loud cries, Herro concluded that they're maybe celebrating.

Herro was still hoping that he will be able to escape this predicament and live on, but he lost all hope when he finally determined how grave his injuries are. All he could do is to ask the system how long will he be able to live.
[Calculating...]
[The host will die in about five minutes]
Herro smiled after he learned that he was about to die from the blue panel that the system had generated.
He couldn't do anything at this moment. Kira was terrified just by seeing the flock of crows from a distance, so he wasn't expecting her to save his sorry ass.
Herro was already on his death bed. He already saw the world in observer's mode, or should I say in the time slowed just for him. He feels that he was the owner of the world where he sees everything in slow motion.
He smiled and then closed his eyes. He finally accepted that he was not the main character of this world. He was just a side story that no one would even remember.
The only heroic thing he did was to save Kira and clear the City of Spring from the mutants that dominated this place. Maybe this city will be recreated and become the strongest.
He wanted to be remembered before leaving this world. He wants to do something that people will remember him. Kira can make him famous by telling that he was her savior, but that still depends if Kira becomes someone who is strong enough to dominate the earth.
Thoughts about different things are rushing and rampaging at Herro's head. The time was slow for him and him alone. He was trapped in the Matrix, where time slowed down and his ability to think was enhanced. That is why he was able to create scenarios on his head even though he was about to die.
Even when he was already dying, he was still thinking about Kira. Even though they only spent a little time together but that was so meaningful to him.
She saved him and taught him the basics of this world that he could only find in fictional books and movies. Letting him grow strong and giving him food, even promising him that she'll let him taste the heaven here on earth.
But that seems to be impossible now. Herro was just kidding when he told Kira bout it, and he did not take anything seriously about losing his V-card, but he was just regretting that he was not able to try it even once.
Then, he remembered his promise to her parents. He smiled and proudly said, "I saved your daughter." It was just a day passed after they made the promise, and yet he was now dying in a deserted place, void of humans.
He did save Kira, but he could not protect her anymore if he died right now, which was part of the promise he could not fulfill.
Even though Herro had just spent a few days with Kira, but he already felt that Kira already had a place in his heart. He coughed another blood, but he was still smiling, reminiscing her few days on the future earth.
Herro heard the sound of the flapping wings of the crows drawing nearer to him every second. After they celebrated, they started to move and finish Herro off.
Herro released a soft sigh, and then his fingers transformed into claws. He pointed it into his heart, and he was ready to commit suicide. He decided to end himself than to suffer in the grasp of the crows that were eager to devour him, especially their queen.
But then, a soft sound of an engine can be heard not too far away from him. This piqued his curiosity, and he retracted his claws. He thought that maybe someone is hunting these crows or some strong individual passing by riding a type of vehicle.
The engine vrooming sounded closer and closer, and from what Herro could perceive, the vehicle had already entered the building where he was lying.
Herro opened his eyes, his vision was still blurry, but he was able to see a car heading towards him. He saw that someone is riding it, but he couldn't identify who it was.
The car stopped in front of him, and a familiar silhouette came out of the car. Herro was happy and worried at the same time because the person who came out of the car was Kira!
The Kira he saved by sacrificing himself is now in front of his dying self. After coming out of the car, Kira immediately grabbed Herro's body and stuffed him inside the car.
Herro groaned in pain. His body was filled with wounds and broken bones, yet Kira carelessly stuffed him inside the car. But Herro understood why Kira did this.
Their time is lacking. The crows were about to storm the building where Herro and Kira are currently at. Herro was bearing the pain from his injuries just for them to escape.
When Kira grabbed Herro and stuffed him inside the car, Herro noticed and felt that Kira was trembling. Kira was still fearful towards the crows.
Herro's heart was touched by how Kira faced her fear and saved him from death.
The intensity of the crows' loud cries grew louder and louder as they're heading towards Herro and Kira. They were not able to notice that there is already someone helping Herro to escape since their vision was obstructed by the building where Herro landed.
Kira hurriedly drove off the building. Since the car that she was using is a flying car, it will be easier for her to escape the place undetected.
Kira didn't go straight towards the Military Base but instead hiding behind different buildings to avoid the crows from detecting them.
After a minute since they escaped from the building, they heard the angry cries of the crows. They must have noticed that their prey had already escaped their grasp.
Kira managed to reach the Military base undetected and both of them, Herro and Kira, let out a sigh of relief. Kira smiled at Herro and Kria smiled back at her.
"Thanks"
