Meng Xian went back to the room , then staggered to the bath,
Freshened up quickly, her mind on a different path.
In the mirror, she saw marks on her chest and belly,
Dried herself, dressed in clothes that fit her well, so neatly.
He knocked her door room "Come in," she said, lifting her head with a smile,
"Thank you for yesterday," she said when he walked into the room, feeling fragile.
"Never mind And for last night," he added with a devilish grin,
"I'll be responsible, or did you forget our sin?"
She met his gaze, wishing to hide in shame,
Blushing, she cursed him silently, feeling the same.
"Silly girl, we meet again," he thought with a sigh. They met in their past life at the mall but she didn't remember him.
"Meng Xian, stay here until things are clear,
This is my private villa, no reporters to fear."
Surprised, she nodded, "Okay, but I'll ask my parents too,
How did you know my name?" she asked, feeling blue.
"I read it on your ID card," he lied with ease,
He left the room
her mind not at peace. In her room, she turned on the TV,
A reporter announced news that made her uneasy.
"Today, January 19th, 2016, Mr. Mu declared,
An engagement between Mu Chen and Jingning, prepared."
Angrily, she dialed Jingning's number, her heart in a race,
"Hello?" she asked, feeling out of place.
"Jingning, what am I to you?" she demanded to know,
"You are my best friend," came the reply, soft and low.
"Then why didn't you tell me about your engagement, dear?"
"I'm sorry."
"How is everything?" Meng Xian asked, feeling betrayed,
"Not good, not bad," Jingning's voice swayed.
"Oh, sorry, mom's calling, we'll talk later," she said,
"Are you not at home? Hello?" the call went dead.
Meng Xian took a deep breath, calming her mind,
"Hello, mom," she answered, her voice kind.
"Where are you?" her mother asked, anger in her tone,
"Mom, please don't be angry," she explained, feeling alone.
She told her mom everything, except the night with Xilian,
"Okay, he'll take care of you, I'll tell your father," she began.
At M Corporation, in a grand office space,
Mu Chen sat lost in thoughts, a troubled face.
A message notification brought him back to the present,
An unknown number, the message content unpleasant.
"Mr. Mu Chen, or should I call you Mu Ansheng,
Congrats on your engagement, and for everything you claim.
Wait for the day I appear, from your one and only brother,"
The phone slipped from his hands, his heart in a flutter.
"He is alive," he whispered, shock in his eyes,
Xilian entered the office, sensing his brother's surprise.
"Brother, what happened? Who is alive?" he asked,
Mu Chen looked at him, his mind unmasked.
"Our brother," he said, his voice filled with dread,
"He's alive, and he's coming," the words he said.
"What the hell are you talking about,I'm your only brother Mu Xilian." Xilian replied

Meng Xian and Xilian found themselves navigating a complex web of emotions and circumstances. As they spent more time together in the villa, they began to understand each other better, their past lives subtly influencing their present interactions.
One evening, as they sat in the garden, the air filled with the scent of blooming flowers, Meng Xian turned to Xilian, her eyes reflecting the soft glow of the setting sun. "Xilian, I still can't believe everything that's happened. It's like a dream."
Xilian smiled gently, his gaze steady. "Life has a way of surprising us. But I'm glad we're here, together. It feels... right."
Meng Xian nodded, her heart warming at his words. "I feel the same. But there's so much I don't understand. Why do I feel like I've known you forever?"
Xilian took a deep breath, deciding it was time to share a part of the truth. "Meng Xian, sometimes connections transcend time and space. Maybe we were meant to find each other again, in this life."
She looked at him, her curiosity piqued. "Do you really believe that?"
He nodded. "I do. And I believe that we have a chance to make things right, to support each other through whatever comes our way."
Meng Xian felt a sense of peace settle over her. "Thank you, Xilian. For everything."
As days turned into weeks, their bond grew stronger. Xilian was always there to support her, whether it was dealing with the media frenzy or simply being a comforting presence. Meng Xian, in turn, found herself opening up to him, sharing her fears and hopes.
One afternoon, as they were walking through the villa's garden, Xilian stopped and turned to Meng Xian. "There's something I need to tell you."
She looked at him, concern in her eyes. "What is it?"
He took her hands in his, his expression serious. "I know this might be hard to believe, but I think we were connected in a past life. I remember things, fragments of memories that don't belong to this life."
Meng Xian's eyes widened. "You mean... you remember our past life?"
He nodded. "Yes. And I think Mu Chen and Jingning are part of this too. They just don't remember yet."
Meng Xian felt a rush of emotions. "This explains so much. The feelings, the connections... it all makes sense now."
Xilian squeezed her hands gently. "We have a chance to make things right, to support each other and our loved ones. Are you with me?"
She nodded, determination in her eyes. "Yes, Xilian. I'm with you."
Together, they decided to help Jingning and Mu Chen navigate their engagement, hoping that their support would help them remember their past and find happiness in the present. They knew it wouldn't be easy, but they were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, united by their shared history and newfound bond.
