New life!

Many things had happened in span of six months. Anissa and Clark had grown closer. Thragg was exiled. And Invincible disappeared. And the planet was in a state of relative peace. The guardians of the globe took care of any major problems popping up and with the help of robot had managed to bring the rate of crime down significantly. Though things weren't always going to stay peaceful as our hero's life soon took a turn he hadn't expected.

" Good morning, Anissa."

Clark said to his wife as he walked into the bedroom.

" Mm, clark I'm hungry."

Anissa groaned as she steadily sat up in her bed.

" I figured you would be. So, I made breakfast. How are you feeling today?"

Clark asked

" I still feel the urge to throw up."

Anissa responded.

" You know, I've been thinking and if you've been feeling like this every morning Anissa, it is possible you're pregnant."

Clark said to the woman.

" Are you sure?"

Anissa asked

" Only one way to know. We've been having sex for a while, and we don't use condoms so it's possible."

Clark explained to the woman.

" Can't you just use your powers to look?"

Anissa asked

" I could if you were far enough along, but this only just started happening. I wouldn't be able to tell for another few weeks."

Clark replied

" If I am pregnant, do you want this?"

Anissa asked

" Of course, I do. Anissa, nothing would make me happier."

Clark replied.

Clark sat with Anissa in their bedroom watching TV until a news broadcast came on the screen.

" Looks like their getting creamed out there. I better go help them."

Clark said as he watched the guardians of the globe Losing on Tv.

" Okay but bring back a pregnancy test. I want to find out as soon as possible."

Anissa said as she wolfed down her food.

" Hahaha! Okay. I'll be back."

Clark said before rushing out of the house.

" Always cleaning up the messes."

Clark laughed as he flew through the air, arriving just in time to see Robot Kill Kid Thor.

" What the hell?!"

Clark yelled as he saw the man get vaporized

' A fake, maybe a virus? There's no way Robot did that. He's one of the good guys.!'

Clark thought as he glared at the man.

' He's going for knockout!'

Clark thought as he saw the robot turn its attention to Kid Thor's wife. Clark quickly slammed his fist into the robot destroying it as fast as possible.

Knockout, however, was devastated by the death of her husband and began crying.

" Knockout, I'm sorry."

Clark said as he looked at the lifeless body of kid Thor.

" I can save him."

Knockout stated as she picked up his hammer. She placed it on his chest and his body began glowing.

" Huh! What the hell?!"

Kid Thor asked as he came back to life.

" Well, that's convenient."

Clark stated. Astonished by the man's revival.

Knockout hugged her revived husband as tears streamed down her face.

" I don't want to breakup this happy moment, but what the hell happened?"

Clark asked

" Robot, he just attacked us. And started Killing."

Knockout exclaimed.

" Superman!"

Robot called out through the destroyed head of his droid.

" Robot, what the hell are you doing? These are your friends!"

Clark exclaimed angrily.

" They were. But all they are right now is in the way. As are you. I can't have that happening."

Robot finished as a swarm of his droid appeared in the sky.

" You think this is enough to kill me? Please."

Clark said as he raced into the swarm headfirst.

" You know what? I got to thank you Robot. I now get to correct a mistake I made long ago. See when rex and kate slept together I wanted to snap Rex in half. Now, I finally get to know what that feels like."

Clark said as he tore through the mechanical monstrosities. Ripping them into pieces with his bare hands. Knockout and Kid Thor quickly hid themselves from the battle as neither could hurt the robots.

" I have made an error; you are much more powerful than any Viltrumite. I will have to make further preparations to kill you."

Robot said as his machines were effortlessly dispatched.

" There won't be a next time. Because once I'm done here, I'm coming straight for that shiny space station of yours."

Clark said with a savage grin on his face, his eyes burning red as his heat vision eviscerated machine after machine that came his way.

" Oops, looks like I broke all of your toys Robot. I'm coming for you next."

Clark said as he took off into space. Flying as fast as he could Clark smashed into Rex's space station, blowing it apart from the impact.

On Earth all drones that weren't manned suddenly stopped their vicious attacks on the earth's heroes.

" Do you have any idea what you've done?"

Rex asked as he manned his last Robot.

" Stopped a madman who was attacking his friends, and then tried to kill me. So, yeah."

Clark replied

" I was close! I was so close! To being able to save the world. To turn it into a true paradise! But you had to come along and ruin it. Now, everyone who's died today has died for nothing."

Rex yelled in anger.

" Everyone? Knockout and Kid Thor weren't your only targets? No, they couldn't have been. Dear god Rex what have you done? How many of them did you kill? How many of your friends, people who trusted you with their lives, how many of them did you kill?!"

Clark asked in anger

" It doesn't matter now. It was all pointless."

Rex replied

" At first this was just revenge for the attack. But now you more than deserve this."

Clark said as he punched through rex's armor and pierced his stomach. Clark grabbed hold of the man's spine and ripped it in half.

" This doesn't change anything. They will eventually destroy this planet. And everything you've fought for will be for nothing."

Rex gasped as he drew his final breath.

" Maybe so, but now all those who were murdered today will be able to rest in peace. I'd say goodbye to you Rex. But you don't deserve it."

Clark said as he grabbed the man's body and threw it into the sun.

Clark turned to see the body of monster girl floating in space and quickly rescued her, bringing her straight to the Viltrumites ship. Clark landed on the ship and immediately ran into the nearest person he could find. Thankfully it was someone he trusted.

" Lucan!"

Clark called out.

" Clark? What happened? First The emperor's son and now this girl. What is going on, on earth?"

Lucan asked

" Wait? Mark was here? He's been gone for a while when did he get back? Was he hurt?"

Clark asked

" His mate was."

Lucan replied.

" EVE! She's Pregnant! Did robot kill her?"

Clark asked

" No, she's in surgery."

Lucan replied.

" Damn it! All right take her she needs help immediately."

Clark said as he handed the body of monster girl over to the man.

" Where are you going?"

Lucan asked

" Got to find Mark and make sure Eve is okay before I head back down to earth. For whatever reason Shit just hit the fan."

Clark said before racing towards the infirmary.

He arrived in time to see Mark holding onto a little baby girl.

" Mark!"

Clark called out drawing the man's attention.

" Clark! You're alive. Robot he's trying to take over the world. He killed Cecil and tried to kill eve."

Mark explained

" Cecil died? Damn it. I was too late. Well, don't worry about robot anymore I killed him before coming here. But I'm more concerned about Eve. How is she?"

Clark asked.

" I don't know, she just gave birth. She's still in surgery."

Mark explained

" Well, I'll pray for her. But it looks like I need to pray for someone else as well now. She's beautiful Mark. What's her name?"

Clark asked as he looked down at the little girl in marks arms.

" We haven't decided yet."

Mark replied

" Wanna hold her?"

Mark asked as he held the girl out.

Clark smiled and took the young lady in his arms gently supporting her head in his palm.

" There there little one. Aren't you a cutie? Uncle Clark can't wait to spoil you rotten."

Clark said.

" Though your life is going to be so messed up, so it should balance out."

Clark joked

" I said the same thing to her."

Mark replied.

" She's done. She's stabilized. The surgery is over. I'll take you to her."

The nurse said as she walked into the room

" Here Mark I'm sure she'll want to see her baby. I'm going back down to earth to try and put some damage control on this fucked up situation. I'll be back later."

Clark said as he handed the little girl over t her dad. He then turned and began running down the hall.

" Hey clark what's?"

Kregg was asking as he saw the man running.

" Out of the way Kregg, we'll talk later!"

Clark yelled as he ran past the man in a hurry.

Once exiting the ship, Clark took off towards the planet earth.

' I need to check on Anissa.'

Clark thought as he flew towards his house. Crashlanding through the roof.

" Anissa!"

Clark yelled out.

" Burlghhh!"

Clark heard the sound of regurgitation coming from the bathroom and immediately ran towards it, opening the door to see his wife throwing up into the toilet.

" Clark? What took you so long?"

Anissa asked

" Are you okay?"

Clark asked the woman.

" No, I keep vomiting up my food."

Anissa replied.

" Were you attacked?"

Clark asked again.

" No, should I be expecting an attack?"

Anissa asked as she wiped the vomit from her mouth.

" No, not anymore anyway."

Clark said as he kissed the woman.

" Ugh! Clark My breath stinks."

Anissa complained.

" Maybe I like it like that?"

Clark replied as he kissed the woman again.

" Knock it off fool."

Anissa joked.

" Okay, okay. Do you think you can fly?"

Clark asked as he got to his feet

" If I need to. Why?"

Anissa replied

" Because I need to check something. Come on."

Clark said as he got to his feet.

" Check what? What's going on?"

Anissa asked

" Robot attacked a bunch of the world's heroes. I need to go see someone who can tell me how much damage was done."

Clark explained.

" Is he the one who was supposed to attack me?"

Anissa asked

" Yes, but he is dead now. I made sure of it. But there is still the problem of the heroes being attacked. And there's only one person I can think of who'd be of any help right now."

Clark explained

" Who's that?"

Anissa asked

" Donald!"

Clark exclaimed.

" Now, let's go."

Clark said as he helped the woman to her feet.

" Alright, don't need to rush."

Anissa replied

" Sorry baby, but this shit is just ridiculous for one day."

Clark said back to the woman.

" Okay, I'm ready."

Anissa responded.

The two quickly took off into the air, making their way towards global defense Hq.

Clark and Anissa landed in time to see the remaining heroes flooding into the building carrying the bodies of their injured or deceased friends.

" Superman!"

Knockout yelled as the two landed.

" Knockout! How is Kid Thor?"

Clark asked

" He'll be fine. They're working on getting him a synthetic arm. What happened with Robot? The others said they just stopped attacking."

Knockout said to the man.

" Rex is dead. I killed him."

Clark replied.

" Why did he do this? We were his friends. All of us."

Knockout asked in tears.

" I don't know. I fear Rex lost his mind a long time ago."

Clark replied to the woman.

" For now, you should be close to Kid Thor. I doubt he'd want to be away from you after the day we've all had."

Clark said as he walked past the woman.

" Who was she?"

Anissa asked

" Nothing for you to worry about love."

Clark replied

" She better not be."

Anissa said with a frown on her face.

Clark laughed and kissed the woman again.

" Come on Throw-up breath let's find donald."

Clark joked getting a fist into his ribs from the woman.

" Ow!"

Clark groaned as he rubbed his sides.

" You seemed to be just fine with my throw-up breath earlier."

Anissa replied with a grin on her face.

" What kind of wife beats her husband?"

Clark asked in pain.

" The kind that doesn't want to sleep alone tonight, because she kicked her husband out of the room."

Anissa replied

" Sorry."

Clark immediately replied.

" Better."

Anissa said to the man in victory.

The two walked down the halls passing the wounded and the grieving heroes on their way to find donald. Anissa sensing the man's unease placed her hand in his hand squeezed, gently letting him know she was there.

" Thank you."

Clark said to his wife.

" I will always stand beside you clark. I promise."

Anissa replied.

Clark smiled and kissed her once again.

" I'll never get tired of doing that."

Clark stated.

" You better not."

Anissa's snarky attitude coming to the surface again made clark chuckle.

Eventually the two reached Donald's office and walked in to see the man having his skin replaced.

" Oh, man that ain't right."

Clark said as he covered his eyes.

" What?"

Donald asked

" Dude, I didn't know you were a robot."

Clark replied.

" You don't interact with us much, so it makes sense you wouldn't know. Why are you?"

Donald asked

" To see just how bad things had been. And to tell you the threat is over. I killed Rex."

Clark said to the man.

" Well, that is a relief, but Zandale is still on the loose as well."

Donald responded confusing the man.

" Who?"

Clark asked in confusion, as he had never personally met or heard of Zandale before.

" Bulletproof? He worked for Invincible and atom eve under Invincible Incorporated."

Donald explained.

" Oh, the guy with the yellow suit and cornrows?"

Clark asked in confusion.

" Yes, that would be him. He hasn't been seen since a little while ago. But if you get the chance, I would like to ask you to bring him in."

Donald asked.

" I won't make any promises Donald, but I'll see what I can do. That was all I had for you. It seems like you guys have your hands busy tending to the wounded and deceased, so I'll get out of your way and let you guys' work."

Clark said as he turned and left the man's office.

" Are we done for today?"

Anissa asked

" Well, there's one more thing we need to check."

Clark replied.

" Can it wait? I'm hungry again."

Anissa complained.

" For you my love, anything."

Clark said with a bow.

" Well, then let's go."

Anissa ordered as she ran towards the exit.

" Okay, okay! I'm coming.'

Clark laughed as he ran to catch her.

After getting lunch the two made their way to a drug store where clark bought three pregnancy tests for his wife. The two immediately went home and got to work.

" Okay so how does this work?"

Anissa asked as she sat on the toilet.

" You urinate on the strip and wait a few minutes. After that I think it comes up and if two lines come up then the results are positive."

Clark explained the best he could.

" Clark, what if... What if I'm not a good mother? All I've known my whole life is war and death. I don't know the first thing about raising a child."

Anissa explained to the man her fears.

" Honestly, I'm scared too. I don't know a thing about raising a kid either. But I do know this, there isn't anything I wouldn't do to protect you or my child. And I know you'd be willing to do the same. We're going to trip and stumble along the way, every parent has. No parent in history has been perfect. We all make mistakes. But as long as we do this together and show our child the love and kindness it deserves then, we'll be okay. I know we will."

Clark explained with a smile on his face as he held Anissa's hand.

" How can you be certain?"

Anissa asked

" Because I know the woman I married. I know what she's gone through in the past year and a half. I know the changes she's made. And because we'll be together every step of the way."

Clark stared into her eyes lovingly, as he held her hand in his. Doing his best to try alleviating her fears.

" Thank you clark."

Anissa replied.

" Okay, it's been a few minutes. I think it's done."

Anissa said nervously as she held up the stick.

" Two lines. It's positive. Clark I'm Pregnant!"

Anissa cried.

Clark smiled as tears welled up in his eyes. He wrapped his arms around the crying woman, hugging her gently as she cried into his arms.

The two lovers had many titles given to them over the course of their lives. Hero, Murderer, Monster, Planet-destroyer, Conqueror just to name a few. However, not even one of those titles brought joy to the two as much as the title of mother and father did.

" We're going to be a family?"

Anissa asked as she wiped her tears.

" Always!"

Clark replied, giving the woman another kiss.
