Chapter 9:Man-eating Ogre

It was a long night, after the girl who I now know her name is Akemi found out I wasn't going to do anything to her, she became a bomb of energy and curiosity asking questions about everything. 

Obviously I tried to send her to her parents, thus getting the problem off my chest, but Izayoi was very serious about feeding me and even had this whole section of the house locked down, making it impossible to leave or enter this section. 

*Blow* *Blow*

"Upstairs, Onii-chan, upstairs. There's someone knocking at the door."

The knocking on the door brought my mind back slightly from sleep, while Akemi's shaking ended my laziness little by little with my laziness. 

How did I end up sleeping again in an uncomfortable place like the floor? It's because I lent the futon to the girl, so I'm a mess and now that I finally found a comfortable position, I don't plan to get up.

"That I'm not your brother, hey don't cry, I just made a mistake because of what I just got up."

Being forced to get up and open my eyes, I blurt out some unintentional words. This makes her eyes fill with tears and she will start to open her mouth to scream, luckily I was able to calm her down quickly.

*Hit* *Hit* *Hit* *Hit* 

"Coming!"

As if my words were a signal, from the other side of the door a faint scream is heard, before a large amount of rapidly sucking footsteps.

Whoever it was looks like he's running away from something, oh, right, girl-eating monster here. Yeah, I better not give that part a second thought and notice why it was calling out. 

"What did you bring?"

"Onii-chan, an old spirit came out of the sword!"

"Saya, are you serious? Yesterday I slammed the sword all over the room and you didn't show up, but now you show up at the worst time!"

What had been left lying outside by the unknown person, was a change of traditional Japanese clothes, with a moderately healthy katana type sword and a letter. 

Picking it all up, I enter the room again to find Akemi pointing at Saya and shouting. On the other hand, Saya ignores her as she asks about what they left outside. 

"A change of clothes, sword and a letter from Izayoi about yes I enjoyed the food. He also says to use the well to wash myself and then go out to look for the ogre."

"So we don't have breakfast?"

"No Saya, she doesn't give us breakfast, besides what do you want if you're a spirit. Although maybe you want another breakfast just like her."

Closing the door and calming Akemi who looks ready to faint, we get to talking to Saya about the letter and the items Izayoi gave me, after that we start the day.

"I'm not food!" 

"You weren't saying the same thing yesterday."

"You, you... You're bothering me!"

Watching as Akemi runs off at full speed, I could only watch as the girl makes a ruckus around the house, as I don't plan to run after her. 

...Some time later... 

Now we were walking in the middle of a forest, there is barely a dirt road as a guide to not get lost and a mountain at the end of the view as a reference.

In the middle of the long journey, Saya starts a conversation about Akemi, at the same time floating beside me in her 5cm glowing sphere form.

"Was it the best plan to let Akemi go home alone?" she asks.

"Yes, I didn't have the time or inclination to explain to the parents about the situation. By the way, why do you say her name matter-of-factly, when you call me young or fox?"

It was a question that had been on my mind for quite some time, but there was never a good time to ask him. 

"Your name is normal and even though you improved now that you dress like an ordinary person, I still can't pronounce your weird name. In this form I'm immaterial, it's impossible for you to hit me."

Yes, I tried to hit him, but it's an understandable reaction. There's a big difference between a girl calling me weird and a bearded old man calling me weird, you know different situations.

On the other hand, that dressing like an ordinary person is because I'm now in the change of clothes Izayoi gave me, at the same time I'm wearing two swords at my waist, Clouded Fang and the sword I just got. 

"Tsk, damn ghosts. Well then... let's hurry up the pace! " 

"Stop!"

I went from walking to running in a few moments, just so he couldn't enter the pod and was forced to keep up with me in the normal way. Sweet, sweet, very sweet revenge.
