A Stepping stone? and a tool for sharpening...?

Regal slowly got up, took a deep breath, and then unleashed his magic pressure that burst out, engulfing the whole arena in an intense purple and black hue. 

"What...!?" Zeus exclaimed, his eyes widening as he cautiously observed the immense concentration of mana filling the arena. The magical pressure formed a vortex, gradually condensing around Regal's body.

Instead of reabsorbing the mana, Regal allowed it to coalesce into a dense layer around him. The mana became increasingly concentrated, seemingly compressing Regal's form. He wasn't casting a spell or creating a defense; it was simply a layer of mana enveloping him.

Zeus frowned, not really understanding what Regal was doing. He didn't stand and let Regal do what he wanted so he immediately lunged at him with a flurry of jabs at his new top speed and power that was leagues above his previous form. 

But despite that, Regal showed little struggle, seemingly effortlessly avoiding or redirecting the jabs. Zeus frowned and he began to observe Rega; more but also increased the already peeked guard. 

"So, that's how... you are taking damage but they are being delayed or something similar! And right now you are taking the brunt of my previous attacks~!" Zeus amusedly said as he had his eyes sparkingly, "I just need to hit you a lot to get you down! I dont even need to try and aim to kill you~! This just became so much fun!!" Zeus excitedly said making Regal's lip twitch. 

"...You are fast in picking up... but that isn't going to help you a lot!!!" Regal exclaimed and caught Zeus's right hand and pulled it followed by a knee in the abdomen. 

Of course, Zeus wasn't the only one that was hit, Regal took 12 jabs making him grunt but Regal wasn't done as he followed with bashing his knee into Zeus's back and chopped his shoulder leaving a blue make while bending the shoulder and making Zeus spit blood. 

Regal didn't stop and bragged him with punches, kicks, elbows, and knees mercilessly and slowly formed a rhythm Regal's attack was strong but more like smashing with enough power to keep him paused for a moment but not enough to do much harm. 

Zeus naturally tried to counter but was barely having any success, he wasn't even allowed to breathe or be able to split blood in his mouth. 

"WHAT IS GOING ON ZEUS IS BEING CRUSHED, HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A CHANCE TO GET UP!!! NOT EVEN BEING ABLE TO RAISE HIS HEAD OR BODY FROM THE GROUND!!! BUT HE SEEMS TO BE TAKING LITTLE TO NO DAMAGE!!!" Heimdall shouted from the top of the arena, he was almost 50 meters high and at the very edge of the arena. 

The god audience had taken some distance from the arena as well and the debris was flying everywhere barely missing them. Some gods were already hit and one poor good had to hold his crotch in pain not even being able to scream from how much pain he was feeling.

Back to the fight. 

Regal kicks Zeus's face this time with all his might but Zeus at the last microsecond crosses his hand blocking Regal attack there is a follow-up by anchoring it and span in place causing the skin on Zeus's arms to be ripped from the friction and while he raised his leg to an almost 180 degree and kicked down hitting Zeus' ribs with his hindfoot making a loud cracking sound. 

Regal tried to follow up with another elbow to Zeus's face but it was too late by the time. 

The Fist That Surpassed Time!!!

Zeus could have gotten out of Regal's assault if he tried but seeing how much power Regal was putting into his attack, Zeus played to the end very end where Regal really was putting power but unfortunately, Zeus had been readying himself to finish off Regal in an unexpected attack. 

But the kick from Regal did a number on him making his aim off, his fist headed to Regal's chest near to the neck. 

And as expected time seemed to stop and everything paused, except Zeus whole grinned, "You are to arragent for your own good... if you really had tried to kill me there I would really have died but... you didn't... and it's my win..." Zeus muttered as his fist came inches away from Regal who was paused in place. 

But then 

Sizzle! Crackler!! Zzzzzzzzzzz!!! 

The layer of mana around Regal reacted and clashed with Zeus's fist that surpassed time like an active chemical reaction making Zeus's knuckle burn and be turned to goo making the rest of the hand have the same fate. 

Zeus widened his eyes in horror as he looked at this, he couldn't stop so his fist plunged into the mana layer that made his arms goo and made it reticularly painful 

"AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!" 

Zeus's shout of pain came and time seemed to return to normal making all the watchers of the batter hear the blood gurgling howl of pain. Regal smiled and the mana layer started to dissipate. 

But before it did Regal concentrated it into a fist that he plung into the goo-turned part digging inside and then following that up with a kick to the neck making Zeus fly to the arena wall. 

And stood in place, "It has been 4 minutes and 39 seconds now, you still have more than 5 minutes to play your cards correctly," Regal casually remarked while wiping the blood from his mouth.

"What is he doing!? He can end this match now but why is he standing there like an idiot!!!" Brunhilde growled with bloodshot eyes while looking at Regal who looked very nonchalantly. 

"This time I have to agree with Brunhilde... Regal can easily end the match... no he could have ended the match a while ago... but I am assuming he is planning something but I can't even think of anything that he could possibly achieve," Buddha surprisingly supported Brunhilde making Azu give him a really look that made him look away immediately. 

"I don't really know what he is capable of but... I kinda wish he was more decisive here," a voice came from the side making everyone's attention. It was Sakata Kintoki!!!

"Also, how are you already at your peak condition? Didn't you lose an eye? And how the hell did you leave the medical room?" Sakata bluntly asked Buddha his question while placing down the giant box. 

"Oh! Sakata! it's good to see ya~! And for the questions, I can't really answer them right now..." Buddha glanced at Azu and Sakata followed his line of sight and frowned not knowing why Buddha was keeping it to himself. "Oa! dont look at her eyes... you might not be able to fight..." Sakata turned his attention to Buddha immediately with confusion and seriousness 

"Huh? What do you mean?" 

Azu shook her head and looked straight at Sakata, "What he means is~!" Azu playfully said making Sakata look at her and... well fall into a daze, "This..." Azu looked at Regal again ignoring the shocked reaction of the three Valkyries, Odin, Hermes, and Loki who had wide eyes. 

Loki was sitting cross-legged while glaring at Azu but she noticed and raised her eyes to meet his Loki looked a little to the right avoiding eye contact but still having her at the end of his sight. 

But that was enough... Loki blacked out immediately, but he held his sitting position making him look like a sculpture. 

He didn't make direct eye contact but he did it indirectly and this was the result. And Odin noticed it and instinctively shivered as if he had met something that he wasn't even willing to face. He suddenly glanced at Azu and looked away, Azu playfully looked in his direction which made another shiver run down him. 

"A primordial in the flesh...?" Odin muttered making the two ravens on his shoulder be shocked and look around while chattering and unfortunately, they met Azu's eye making them freeze in place. Odin gritted his teeth but he put his complete focus in the arena not daring to look at Azu. 

Odin was tempted but he wasn't someone who didn't know his limit. 

In the arena, Zeus had gotten up his one arm missing with some of his shoulder goon as well. While Regal stood there like he was just getting started. 

"Are they going to repeat this again...? Or will he finally end it?" Buddha couldn't help but ask as he chewed down on the candy Sakata had bought. 

"Really? Do you guys not get what is happening?" Azu help lessly asked while leaning on the railing with little disappointment. "Fine, I will tell you," She stated seriously making the tension spike. Even Scathach and Ruphas listen in. 

"He is preparing... for a fight, against," Azu paused making the tension rise even more two of them came to a realization and of course, the two were Scathach and Ruphas who had their eyes widened in shock. 

"the second Satan, Regal's first battle hasn't ended yet... and he is using Zeus as his stepping stone and sharpener," Azu stated and playfully smiled,

"Regal is someone who is very good with magic and mana but when it comes to CQC he is very unprepared. Although his CQC is good due to Scathach it still isn't at the level he wants it to be, he has an incredible defense against magic or any form of energy which includes divinity as you saw his magic when confidence is so toxic grouped that it causes a massive bursting of his mana at the Subatomic particle level but that is only in the case if any forms of energy that proactively tries to disturb them, but as you saw in the whole match between after Regal covered himself in that layer of mana Zeus's just physical attack wasn't impeded or got any reaction from the mana. Making it so that his defense is only his armor that is Ophis,"

Azu gave a long explanation playfully and happily making the tension decrease a little but when the words sank in the tension was at an all-time high. 

'Of course, there is more but I am not telling!!!' Azu playfully thought and glanced at a screen that popped up only for her to see. 'Just a little more and you will be there...'
