Chapter 245: ‘Skin’ expiration

Bai Yi Yang and her siblings goes to school as usual, the syllabus for this year is finished so in class they usually have their revision during each period. Don't say about them the juniors, the senior class has much more tighter schedule.

As for her and Ah Qi, this week, she received gifts from him everyday as usual. On Monday, she received a sweet box, they consist of different type of mini tarts. Ah Qi told her that if she like any particular tarts, he will send the bigger version of it. So, Bai Yi Yang tasted each one carefully and told him which one is her favourites, the next day he really sent them, this time more specifically the one she loves.

'I tasted them, they are quite too sweet.' This was Ah Qi message to her. By this alone, Bai Yi Yang confirm that Ah Qi don't really like sweet. She have noticed that he is not really interested with dessert or fruits, but now she is sure.

On Wednesday, she received 6 pairs of fuzzy slippers, all customised to their sibling feet sizes, the 6th one, of course it was for himself. Bai Yi Yang laugh at this and joke that Ah Qi should just move into their house like this. The children loves it very much too, they wear it everywhere because it feels very comfortable.

On Thursday, Ah Qi sends a polaroid camera, this is because Bai Yi Yang took a picture of them siblings wearing matching fuzzy slippers and upload it in her social media, Ah Qi said that it reminded him that Bai Yi Yang loves taking pictures so when he saw the polaroid camera, he bought it for her. The first thing she did is take a selfie of herself, which..didn't went too well, the picture wasn't really centred at first. She practiced 2-3 times before getting a pretty picture of herself and send it to Ah Qi.

This make her suddenly have an idea for Bai Yi Ling's succulent business. Why don't she documented the growing process of succulents and share it in her social media, they can make a time lapse video until the succulents bloomed with beautiful colours. Well, that won't be easy to carry out but she should teach Bai Yi Ling some camerawork sometimes.

Finally, Friday arrived and Bai Yi Yang made an appointment in advance with Boss Sun so that he can pick up the Matsutake mushrooms today. It will be the 15th on Sunday, but she won't have time to forage mushrooms since Ah Qi will be coming.

When Boss Sun came, his two son also came with him, the reason was that his wife went to City Nan to see their eldest daughter, leaving the two sons with him. Since Bai Yi Yang suddenly told him to pick up the mushrooms today, they will joined the mother and daughter at City Nan last minute.

Boss Sun daughter will be taking the National College Entrance Examination this year, it is important that she have someone to take care of her when the exam is less than 2 weeks now. No wonder Madam Sun went there to look after their daughter

"I am sorry if I gave a short notice." Bai Yi Yang said after they finished weighing the mushrooms. The total came out to be 4.8 kg.

"No worries. It's just nice, the children's mother just went there for a few days now but this kids are already restless at home. Now we have a reason to go there." Boss Sun laugh as he watch his sons playing with the puppies. They only arrived a few moments ago but they are already sweating as they play with the Bai siblings and their pets.

"Then send my regards to Aunt Sun and Shi Yi jiejie. I wish her luck in the upcoming big exam." Bai Yi Yang said. Sun Shi Yi is Boss Sun's eldest daughter name. She never met her but when Madam Sun talks about her daughter, she told Bai Yi Yang to refer her daughter as a jiejie. Well, their family is close, so why not.

"I will. The time is not early, we really can't stay long this time." Boss Sun said as he look at the time. That's when Bai Yi Chen came from the kitchen with some plastic bags, there are fruits and fresh mushrooms in it.

"Uncle, take it." Bai Yi Chen said. Boss Sun didn't reject, their two families is like this, he always return home with something from the Bai siblings. His children especially love to eat the fruits, he also had sent fruits to his daughter a few times, making his daughter amazed with him for having the connection to obtain Bai Mountain fruits.

After sending them out, the children feel regretful to part, they made promises to play together again next time even when Boss Sun start driving, they still shout at each other to say goodbye. Bai Yi Yang can only laugh and told her siblings to help Bai Yi Chen with drying the mushrooms, as for her, she enter the workshop.

This process of making furniture is really time and energy consuming, but, when she saw the results, she will feel satisfied. In their house in The Eve's Residence, Interior Designer Ru Qing have installed all the furniture that she have finished making, this Sunday, they will come again to pick up the one she have finished.

The interior of the house is not complete yet but Bai Yi Yang have seen many changes, the wall is painted, there are minimalist decorations on the wall already. Since Bai Yi Yang aimed is really used of minimum item, there are really not much but it was Ru Qing who need to wreck het brain to match the colour and make a suitable design.

While engrossed in her woodworking, a delivery van arrived at 5.06 pm. Bai Yi Yang was used to it now, she sign her name and bring in the box. Since she still need to work, she put it away first then enter her workshop again. She didn't even check her phone where Dongfang Qi Ze had sent her a bunch of messages.

Bai Yi Yang close her workshop door at 6.00 pm. She slumped next to her younger siblings on the grass while watching Bai Yi Chen making fire at the fire pit in the middle.

"Ge, I am lazy to cook." Bai Yi Yang said her thoughts out.

"En, you rest. I will do the barbecuing." Bai Yi Chen lightly laugh. They are having barbecue today, only the 5 of them. This is because Bai Yi Chen suddenly crave barbecue food, so he ask Bai Yi Yang to marinate some meat in the afternoon, he will do the rest of the work.

Bai Yi Yang is like this, when her siblings wanted to eat something, she always fulfil it. If the ingredients is not available nearby, she will make an order from far, especially fresh seafood from City Qing. Have to say, when it comes to food, her siblings is really spoiled. Of course it was the same with TongTong, that cat always get what it wanted to eat too.

"Thanks.." Bai Yi Yang said and continue to just watch the process. The two puppies also play around her. Well, their age is still considered puppies but their size can rival adult dogs in the village how.

'What did you say their breed again?' Bai Yi Yang ask TongTong who is scolding the puppies because they were chasing after the children in the yard.

TongTong said a series of dog breeds, it said that the puppies is mix of this and that, making Bai Yi Yang who is clueless about pets dizzy.

'Ah..just pretend I didn't ask.' Bai Yi Yang said. She had ask TongTong who acts as the puppy's mother if she need to vaccinate them but TongTong said that they are not that fragile, one of the reason TongTong is very opposed to it is because it is also afraid to get poke by needle.

When Bai Yi Fang went to get her Oral Polio vaccine on Monday, TongTong also follow her and Grandma Zhou to the clinic. When Bai Yi Yang returned from school, TongTong retell her about the children crying after getting their vaccine. Obviously, TongTong is the most scared when it comes to getting a shot.

'I think we still should get a vaccine for all three of you.' Bai Yi Yang said, making TongTong stop chasing the puppies too. TongTong stare in horror at its host.

'Can I not? Just the two puppies is enough.' TongTong approach Bai Yi Yang and act cute.

'If you want to use this body for a long time, then you must get a vaccine.' Bai Yi Yang laugh.

'Host, you didn't notice it? This body won't grow up, I will stay a kitten until it expires.' TongTong said.

'What?! This body have expiration?' Bai Yi Yang ask in shocked. She suspected that the body can't grow, but even an expiration date.

'Yeah. This is like a product sold in supermarket, they have expiration date.' TongTong said.

Well, Bai Yi Yang never check because even when she purchased some vial of medication, she will immediately use them, there is no time check if there is expiration or not.

'Then, when is..this body of yours now expired?' Bai Yi Yang ask. That is so uncomfortable to ask, it's like asking when will 'it' die.

'In 1 year 6 months time. Insects have shorter time span, kitten is longer.' TongTong said.

'Will you stay a cat when this body expires?' Bai Yi Yang need to ask TongTong's opinion. It will be TongTong who will be living in that body, not her, even though they will be using her points to buy new skin for TongTong.

'I will think about it. It's still far.' TongTong said. Bai Yi Yang also nod, if she have enough point and the system's shop start selling human 'skin', then she will let TongTong have one too later. Of course don't know how much points will be needed to get a human 'skin'.

While watching Bai Yi Chen start barbecuing, Bai Yi Yang chat with her sibling and occasionally to TongTong when it talk to her. What a carefree evening, she hopes that her future days will be like this too, together with the people she loves.
