Chapter 244: Dongfang Family

The next morning, Dongfang Qi Ze finished getting ready and went downstairs to have a cup of coffee but then he smell some delicious smell coming from the kitchen, it's actually Assistant Long who is currently taking out the food from the steamer.

"Young master." Assistant Long greet.

"En." Dongfang Qi Ze nod and took a cup of coffee before taking a seat on the diner table that he rarely use.

Assistant Long arranged the dim sums on a plate then placed two steamed buns in front of the young master. When Dongfang Qi Ze naturally pick up the big steamed buns with hand, he was shocked, their young master is really eating steamed buns? What more, he really have a big appetite ah, unlike the usual him who only eat enough then stop eating.

"Have you had breakfast?" Dongfang Qi Ze sudden question startled Assistant Long a bit.

"Not yet, I will have mine after sending the fruits to the old master." Assistant Long said.

"Next time you can make some for yourself too, Yang Yang send enough." Dongfang Qi Ze said. Assistant Long nod and smile.

"Do you know how to make wonton soup?" Dongfang Qi Ze ask again.

"I think…I know.." Assistant He said again. Well, he seems to remember that there are wonton in the freezer as well.

"I want to eat it for tomorrow breakfast." Dongfang Qi Ze said.

"Then I will cook it for you young master." Assistant He said. He have been living alone for a long time, he can cook simple dish like that, maybe not as good as the young girl but it won't be that bad, he guess.

After the short conversation, Dongfang Qi Ze didn't say anything and continue to finish his breakfast. At 6.30 am, they leave to the office, it was Assistant Lu who came to drive the young master since Assistant Long will be heading to the old residence. When they are dealing with the old master, they can't just send anyone in Dongfang Qi Ze place, the four people is usually the one who become Dongfang Qi Ze's representatives.

When Assistant Long arrived at the old residence, it was a few minutes passed 7.00 am, the old housekeeper of the house told him to wait at the living room before notifying the old master who is currently having breakfast with the other family members in the dining room.

"Why is he here?" Dongfang Li Ming or the old master just started breakfast so he was taken aback with sudden visit from his grandson's assistant early in the morning.

"I saw him bringing a basket of fruits, the young master must have send it over." The old housekeeper said with a small smile. The old master actually dotes on the young master, but he just don't know how to express his care.

"Then bring him in." Dongfang Li Ming said and put down his utensils. The old housekeeper nod and walk out.

"Old master, it's not like our house lack some fruits, there must be something else." Lan Yue who is sitting on the first seat on the left said.

Lan Yue is beautiful lady in her 50s, she is wearing a qipao and her hair is perfectly comb, for someone in her 50s, she can be mistaken as someone 10 years younger.

Lan Yue is actually Dongfang Li Ming second wife, his first wife passed away after giving birth to 5 children. After that, he married Lan Yue who is almost 30 years younger than him and they have 2 children together.

"What are you talking about? If the child wanted to show his filial piety, does he need to have other intention?" Dongfang Li Ming frown. Well, he actually don't understand Dongfang Qi Ze intention too, but he still have the hope that his grandson is only showing care for the elderly.

"Dad, don't blame Aunt Lan, this is really unusual." Dongfang Yi who is sitting on the first seat at the right side said. Dongfang Yi is the eldest daughter of the family, she is donning a smart attire and because of her more matured way of dressing, she actually look slightly older than Lan Yue. Well, their age gap is also not big, Lan Yue is actually just 2 years older than Dongfang Yi. The stepmother and stepdaughter age is this close, they look like friends instead of the former.

"You women talk too much, why can't you wait until Assistant Long come?" Dongfang Li Ming humphed in bad mood. No wonder his grandson don't like coming over, these people really like to talk nonsense.

When Assistant Long walk into the dining room with the basket of fruits, everyone dining eyed at him, especially the old madam.

"Old master." Assistant Long called out with a polite smile.

"En, did Ah Ze send you over?" Dongfang Li Ming said with a smile, this Assistant Long really brought a basket of fruits with him.

"Yes old master. The young master know some friends, remembering that the old master like eating fruits from Bai Mountain, he let me send some over when he received this." Assistant Long said politely.

"Bai Mountain fruits? Quickly let me look." Dongfang Li Ming eyes shine and push the plate aside to make room for the basket of fruits.

Assistant Long really did make an effort, he took a few different types of fruits then arrange it prettily in the basket, he didn't even remove the leaves to show that this is freshly picked. As expected, the old master is ecstatic when he heard this.

Dongfang Li Ming actually don't know about Bai Mountain fruits at first, but an old friend returned from City Nan one times and told him to try the fruits he brought back. Just to be polite, Dongfang Li Ming had a taste and it was really good, at that time he found out that there are fruits that sold in City Nan with Bai Mountain brand. After trying it, other fruits become tasteless, he only eat fruits from Bai Mountain now. Even though the process to get it is difficult, for his health, the housekeeper usually try to get the old master to eat fruits everyday.

"How is this Bai Mountain fruits? I have seen it before, they have special packaging." Lan Yue said when she saw the fruit baskets.

"Old madam, this is truly Bai Mountain fruits. The young master got it directly from the orchard itself, it's not store bought." Assistant Long calmly explain, he have expected this, but for someone like the old master who eat Bai Mountain fruits frequently, he must know once he tasted it.

"Ah Ze have this kind of friends too? Good, good." Dongfang Li Ming said happily.

"Quick, ask the kitchen to wash the watermelon, I want to taste it. I never tasted some of these fruits too." The old master said to his housekeeper.

"Dad, Bai Mountain don't sell watermelon.." Dongfang Qiu said, he think that his father easily become a fool when it comes to Dongfang Qi Ze. Just send a bunch of fruits and he thinks it's really a product of Bai Mountain.

Dongfang Qiu is the fourth son of the Dongfang family, he is the one who manage Dongfang Group food industry. Their biggest supermarket branch G Supermarket also have a few branches in City Nan, of course when he heard about Bai Mountain fruits, he had made a research about the produce. He knows all the different fruits type, dried mushrooms and even recently the vegetables that Bai Mountain supply to Natural Grocery. But, watermelon is not one of them.

"4th master, this is indeed from Bai Mountain. They haven't started selling watermelon, there are also fruits that they didn't usually sell to public. When you taste it, you will know." Assistant Long said smiling. Well, there is no way that this is not from Bai Mountain, the young girl herself is the owner of the orchard ah. He have heard from Assistant He and the bodyguard that the taste is really different, people can distinguish it from other fruits sold outside.

"Assistant Long is right, this old man know how they taste like." Dongfang Li Ming said.

"Anyway, you still don't have progress with getting supplies from the Bai Mountain? It will be good if we can bring it into City Zhou, even City Shan is close enough." Dongfang Li Ming said to his fourth son. Getting fruits from City Nan is too far.

"Dad, they are very secretive, they won't even tell anyone where the fruits come from. What more, the quantity in store per day is not much, even if we make a deal with Natural Grocery, I don't think they will agree." Dongfang Qiu said with low spirit.

"Try asking again, do you want to see your old father get fruits from City Nan all this life?" Dongfang Li Ming said. Actually, his intention is quite selfish, he just wanted to eat the fruits, as for how much they can sell it in their supermarket, he doesn't care, as long as he can eat the fruits everyday.

Just when they are talking, the kitchen helper come out with a tray full of sliced watermelon. The first one who tried it is Dongfang Li Ming, when he bite onto the juicy watermelon, his palate immediately recognise it. En, this is it. This is really Bai Mountain fruits. When seeing how everyone on the table from old to young start picking the watermelon slice, he feel a heartache, he should have told the kitchen to only use half of it.

Dongfang Li Ming quickly eyed the old housekeeper to take the rest of the fruits basket away now that he know that this is precious fruits from Bai Mountain. Usually, they can only purchase small quantities of it everyday, now they have a whole basket, they should cherish it.

"Grandpa, this is so sweet. Can I have more? I want to try other fruits too." Dongfang Mu, the youngest granddaughter of the Dongfang family said happily as she savour the sweet and juicy watermelon, she is the third son's youngest daughter. Ouyang Li Ya, the wife of the third son quickly told her daughter to behave well.

"You can ask your dad to buy some for you. Or you can tell your fourth uncle too quickly bring the Bai Mountain fruits to City Zhou too." Dongfang Li Ming said to his granddaughter. As for the basket of fruits, he won't give to anyone. He saw that the leaves is still very fresh, they must have just been picked up, well, his Ah Ze is really capable.

"4th uncle, can't you bring the Bai Mountain fruits to our city?" Dongfang Mu ask the fourth son.

"Sorry Little MuMu, uncle will try to find a way." Dongfang Qiu said. Well, he admit that the fruits is really good quality, but all these pressure just for some fruits is really too much.

"Assistant Long, is it possible to tell me where this fruits come from?" Dongfang Qiu can only ask his nephew's assistant. Since Dongfang Qi Ze have an acquaintance that can obtain these fruits, then they must know where this fruits come from.

"Forgive me 4th master. This is my young master personal information so I cannot disclose it, but you can try asking the young master. He may be able to tell." Assistant Long smile.

"Don't make it difficult for Assistant Long. You know that it will be easier to ask Natural Grocery than make Ah Ze talk." Dongfang Li Ming said, now he is eating his 4th slice of watermelon. He is competing with everyone in the table to eat more, as for the rest, he won't share.

"Dad, he may talk if you speak." Dongfang Qiu said, his old man have been pressuring him all the time regarding this matter but he don't want to step up to help a bit. Of course they can try to oppress Natural Grocery, but no matter what they are still backed up by the Zhang family in City Nan, it's not to the point of needing to have conflict with other family. He is not Dongfang Qi Ze who is not afraid of death.

"Don't try to involve me in this. Ah Ze know someone who can give this freshly picked fruits, why should I ruin my relationship with him. You know how much he hates when people ask for favour." Dongfang Li Ming said again.

"Dad, you spoil him too much." Dongfang Min the third son cannot keep quiet anymore. This nephew has taken over the Dongfang Group, he is their boss at work and even at home he usually ignore them, his uncles and aunts.

"That's right, he didn't put us elders in his eyes anymore." Dongfang Yi humphed. Who here doesn't dislike Dongfang Qi Ze, even them aunts and uncles are under him now, don't say about their children. The old master is biased too, when he decided to retired, he immediately gave the power to Dongfang Qi Ze who was barely grown up at that time.

"Is that my fault? Then you should have tell him about this rather than complaining to me in his absence." Dongfang Li Ming said. His own children, not one dare to criticise his grandson face to face nut they all are saying all these to him here.

"Just nice, his assistant is here. Why not you tell Assistant Long to delivery your words to him now?" Dongfang Li Ming said. This is what he don't like about his children, they don't have the guts.

Since young, Dongfang Qi Ze have always been smart, excellent at decision making and have the guts to take risk for a bigger accomplishment. Since his grandson take over, he only interfere with certain things but the company still remain the strongest and he also dare to ventured into new things.

"That's not our meaning.." Dongfang Qiu stole a glance at the smiling Assistant Long. What if Dongfang Qi Ze makes things difficult for them at the company if he heard this. Have to say, Dongfang Qi Ze is really cold blooded when it comes to the company, how many of his cousins has been demoted to a lower position after making mistakes, if they become careless, they may lose the one that they are managing now.

"Assistant Long, please put a good words for me, I didn't utter a single complaint." Dongfang Zhen said with a wide smile at Assistant Long. Dongfang Zhen is Dongfang Li Ming's son with Lan Yue, he is only 21 years old this year and currently managing an entertainment company that manage singers, idols and actors.

This entertainment company was set up about 3 years ago, the reason was because the 5th daughter Dongfang Qin wanted to have their own artists to endorse their luxury fashion products. So, they start an entertainment company and sign some already famous artists and at the same time trained their own artists that fit their criteria. Now, Dongfang Zhen is the one managing it and the entertainment company actually house quite a few A listers actors and actresses. Well, they have money, resources and connections, being under Dongfang Group is already a form of promotion itself.

"Very well 6th master." Assistant Long nod and smile.

"Assistant Long must be busy, you can go on your way. Tell you young master that I will enjoy this gift." Dongfang Li Ming said, dismissing Assistant Long.

"Yes old master." Assistant Long also doesn't want to stay longer, so, he also bow lightly towards the people sitting at the table and walk out of the residence. Well, no wonder the young master hates it here, everyone was eyeing him, it was a bit scary.
