Chapter 112: Catching up with her siblings

In this one week period of her dissociation from the reality, her siblings has many stories to tell her. It was mostly about their friends and their activities. Bai Yi Yang usually listen to their stories every time they came to her and before sleep, so their stories has accumulated. They even followed her to the kitchen to continue telling them stories.

"Well, that is scary? So what happened after that?" Bai Yi Yang ask Bai Yi Mo as she mixed the raw rice in the pot with herbs and chicken fat. After this she is going to cook this rice in the cooker to make the rice for the chicken rice.

"What else, we all ride our bicycle as fast as we can. One of my friend peed his pants and he was scolded by his mom." Bai Yi Mo said and laugh, Bai Yi Fang also laugh to that.

Bai Yi Mo is telling the story of his little adventures around the village, they passed through the so called haunted house belonged to their eldest maternal uncle and they heard a thud sound coming from the house. So they all ride their bike as fast as possible to run.

"Luckily you didn't follow us. If not, we may not be able to go fast." Bai Yi Mo said to Bai Yi Fang.

"There you go again with that story. Don't disturb jiejie, can't you see that jiejie is busy." Bai Yi Ling who has changed clothes and take a bath also come into the kitchen.

"Er jie, we are not lying. If you don't believe, you can follow us later to see." Bai Yi Mo said.

"Who…who wanted to follow you.." Bai Yi Ling avoid eye contact. She immediately pretend to get busy.

"Jie, I will make cold drinks." Bai Yi Ling said.

"En, go ahead." Bai Yi Yang said. She noticed this. So Bai Yi Ling is a little scaredy-cat, she looks tough on the outside but actually scared of things like this.

"Er jie, Fang Fang want chocolate milkshake." Bai Yi Fang said when she saw Bai Yi Ling taking out the ice. Bai Yi Ling is an expert using the blender now, Bai Yi Fang always ask her to make chocolate milkshake. That is Bai Yi Fang favourite.

"Okay. Xiao Mo?" Bai Yi Ling ask.

"Anything." Bai Yi Mo said. He is busy telling Bai Yi Yang his story which is more important now. Bai Yi Yang didn't stop him, she will ask when she should, listen when he told his story.

So by the time Bai Yi Yang is now ready to steam the chicken, Bai Yi Mo stories has reached it peak, he together with the brave bunch of boys went to investigate, but found nothing. The next day they investigate again and they were caught by Head Village Li, so they can only halt their investigations for now.

Bai Yi Yang pop up the chicken into the steamer and start making the sauce now, chilli based sauce and soy based sauce. Lastly she sliced some fresh cucumbers to be eaten with the chicken rice later.

"You should be careful. The house is old, there may be sharp objects on the ground, if you are curious just look from afar." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Ohh okay." Bai Yi Mo nod.

After that, Bai Yi Yang said to Bai Yi Ling to turn off the stove when the alarm on her phone rings. She wanted to take a bath first before lunch. Bai Yi Ling nod in response, only then Bai Yi Yang went to take a bath.

Bai Yi Ling is making drinks now. Bai Yi Fang is earnestly helping her on the side because of her chocolate milkshake.

Bai Yi Yang is taking her time to have a shower. When she is done, Bai Yi Chen should have returned too. He went to the orchard after they arrived home just now, he said that the worker sent by Zhang Yong has started picking fruits for three days now, they came the day before yesterday. Today, they should be done for now.

Bai Yi Yang actually haven't check her chats, since Zhang Yong had sent his people and he must have sent a text at least.

After a refreshing shower, Bai Yi Yang enter the kitchen and her 3 siblings is sitting together drinking cold drinks. The steamed chicken is done and the rice is also cooked.

'Yes I am. Host, give me food.' TongTong said. Bai Yi Yang laugh and scoop chicken rice and also some steamed rice. She also put some sauce on it before giving it to TongTong. TongTong happily start eating after that.

Bai Yi Yang also scooped out rice for her siblings and put it on the table. Their attention immediately grabbed by the fragrant rice and chicken.

Just when the children was about to lose their patience, Bai Yi Chen returns all sweaty. The weather outside is indeed a bit hot today. Bai Yi Yang immediately turn on the air conditioning and close the windows and door.

"So cool…" The children was having fun standing directly on the cool air. The air conditioning has been finished installed on Tuesday, but they don't know how to adjust it and they also don't have the mood. Only now did they know that this things released cold air.

"I really like this. Jie, can we turn on the one in the living room too? We can sleep without sweating in the afternoon." Bai Yi Mo said.

After that, they have their lunch, steamed chicken rice. They all like it very much, what more it was so comfortable sitting in a cool room.

Bai Yi Yang stayed in the kitchen after that, she open her text and there were tens of messages from Zhang Yong. There are also some from Bai Yu Jing who is asking about their siblings wellbeing. She immediately reply her first.

Zhang Yong text messages was about their fruits transactions at first but then he start texting her a lot about being worried about her not replying to his text. Bai Yi Yang laugh and immediately reply him too, she said she was busy and didn't saw the text.

Then while she is browsing through her chats, a call from Zhang Yong came.

"Yeah.." Bai Yi Yang answer.

"You really are something. Where have you been? My staff said that they saw you but you totally ignored them, only Bai Yi Chen talked to them." Zhang Yong said right away after he heard Bai Yi Yang voice.

Actually he heard more than that. His staff said that they waited in front of their house for the siblings to return home after done picking, since they need to weight it in front of them too to be fair. They know that their boss Zhang Yong is dealing with a girl, not Bai Yi Chen. But when they greet Bai Yi Yang, Bai Yi Yang look like a soulless person, she look at them and enter the house, she didn't talk to them and she didn't even talk to her siblings. The second day which is yesterday is also the same, she is a bit scary.

When the staff ask Bai Yi Chen about it, Bai Yi Chen will frown and said that she is just not feeling well at the moment. Everyone is a bit gloomy. That's what they reported to their boss, so how can Zhang Yong not show concern, something is obviously going on. Bai Yi Yang is not that kind of person his staff reported to him.

They seems to need to do this daily and get a fresh supply everyday, at least once in two days, so Yi Chen may not be able to oversee this everyday." Zhang Yong said.

"En." Bai Yi Yang nod. Bai Yi Chen didn't say anything but he doesn't look that pleased either.

"Ge, I think we really need to find someone to oversee the orchard. We really can't handle it on our own." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Do you know anyone suitable that can read, write and count that we can hire to do the business transaction for us. And the most important is trustworthy?" Bai Yi Yang ask.

"It is really hard to find someone like that from this village. Most people are working at the field, they may not want this job. Grandpa Zhou can recognise words but you know how he is, his character is not suitable for business exchange." Bai Yi Chen said.

"I think, we can only depend on Grandpa Zhou for now. Ge can you go meet him and tell him about this. He just need to oversee it, the rest, I will just directly contact Big Brother Zhang." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Okay, I will go meet him this evening. How about payment?" Bai Yi Chen said.

"Starting next week, Zhang Yong staff will come in the morning only and they will finished in the afternoon. So 4-5 hours work for 7 days a week of overseeing the staff picking up fruits and seeing the weighing process. How about 2,100 yuan per month, or 70 yuan per day. Is it too low? Then 2,400?" Bai Yi Yang then prepare the barbecue ingredients for later, she marinated beef steak meat, chicken wings and pork belly. After that, she make a veggie kebab of onion, broccoli, red and yellow bell peppers. Later when she enters the wood, if there is suitable mushrooms, she will add it to the barbecue. Other than that, they will also barbecue jumbo sausages, corn and potatoes. This should be enough food for them.
