Chapter 13 - Gluesticks are evil. DIY without proper tools is bad.

Touya, Princess Yumina, and I are currently at the back of the inn. Princess Yumina has just finished drawing a summoning circle. Summoning Magic, which is a Darkness element magic allows one to contract with a summoned beast.

Touya having been told by the Princess about it, during a quest of theirs, decided he wants to make a summoning of his own. I have just been chatting with the princess after my spar with Yae when Touya came out of the inn and told me his plan, I decided to try my luck as well.

"Come Forth Darkness, what I see is a proud silver wolf: Silver Wolf"

As a reference Princess Yumina summoned her contracted monster. She summoned 5 silver-coated wolves, it was a pack with the leader having a star-shaped mark on its head.

"To establish a proper contract you need to fulfill the summoned creature's request, it can be anything from giving them a specific type of food or a fight. One of the benefits of having a contracted monster is that you and the monster can communicate via telepathy."

She explained as she was playing with the wolves. They stayed for a bit and left one after another until only one wolf remained.

Touya moved towards the center of the circle. He seems to be very excited about creating a summon contract. Touya summoned this world's version of the White Tiger Divine Beast. It, being a Divine Beast had an aura of Dominance that caused Princess Yumina and the remaining wolf to be suppressed. I got affected at the start but soon managed to get used to the pressure until I am no longer affected by it.

Who gave him the challenge of pouring Mana to the Divine Beast. Touya being the OP MC of this world did not feel a thing when he poured an ungodly amount of mana towards the Tiger. It surrendered and prompted Touya to name it. He named it Kohaku.

Ignoring the then revealed ability of the Divine Tiger to magically change its form to that of a tiger cub. This Divine Beast sure has a lot of nice magic abilities, capable of converting any outside mana source into his own and now being able to shapeshift itself. I will practice copying the flow of mana and see if I can make the ability my own. I entered the Summoning Circle.

Pouring a steady stream into the circle a felt a connection. A brief flash of light and smoke, the summoned creature appeared in front of me.

"What? How can I summon you?"

What appeared in front of me is a red wolf. It has two sharp horns on the top of its head and two long pointy ears on each side. The angle of the ears and the horns make it seem that the wolf has 2 sets of sharp horns pointing backward. (Like a demon)

*Aaawwwoooooooooooh!*

The sudden Howl was loud, I had anticipated that it would howl since it was a 'tiger' of some kind and I was right. The blanket Sound Barrier I instantly made managed to somehow contain the sound wave, otherwise, the sudden sound will surely shatter the windows of the inn and maybe the surrounding buildings.

"Why have you summoned me?"

Its voice is rough, and heavy carrying power and pressure. Having been subjected to the White Tiger's Aura from before allowed me to easily shrug this one.

"I did not think I was going to be summoning you, but since you appeared would you allow me to form a summoning contract with you?"

I asked the 'tiger' who was busy looking around the place. It saw Byakko and glared at it, Byakko too glared back.

"Master it appears that the beast your friend has summoned is not part of my domain."

I heard Byakko speak to Touya and Princess Yumina. Of course, this 'tiger' is not part of your Domain. I do not think this wolf is even a part of this world's animal kingdom.

"First that blasted 'Orion' managed to catch me off guard and send to that forsaken place and now this?" The- you know what I will just call it by its species name, Flazer.

(It should have been Flarester but since its creators decided to change the name, it became Flazer instead.)

The Flazer mentioned an 'Orion' based on what it is, I can suspect that it was talking about the monster combination of a Suezo and a Gali.

(An: A Suezo is a giant eyeball with a mouth and one foot, a Gali is a mask and coat monster. All four mentioned so far, Flazer/Flarester, Orion, Suezo, and Gali are from the Monster Rancher Franchise)

"Speak, what is this contract you speak of."

"The basic explanation would be. You can get to remain in this realm as long as I have the mana. In exchange, you will have to assist me, whenever you are able."

I am not good at explaining things but simple is the best.

"And why should I lower myself and allow you to make a contract with me?" He was glaring at the white tiger having seen that it was contracted to the human male beside it. The pressure was getting thick it was only thanks to Touya and Kohaku's protection that Princess Yumina and the Silver Wolf were still fine.

"You do not need to, but you must answer the summoning circle and give the summoner chance by giving them a challenge they must do. The Challenge can be anything you want."

This he was now looking at me. The eyes are now slits.

"Then your challenge is simple. Defeat me in combat!"

With a massive roar, the Flazer is now suddenly in front of me, its mouth open wide its fangs covered in dark red fire.
