Yukiko led Kadori out of the room to commence the tour.
As they stepped outside, Kadori felt like he had been thrust into a blazing furnace. The heat was so intense that he began to perspire profusely with just one step.
"Ugh... Why is it so hot here?" Kadori lamented, using his sleeves to wipe the sweat from his face.
"Planet Edom isn't like Earth," Yukiko explained, showing no signs of sweat on her face or body. She acted as if this level of heat was completely normal to her.
"Planet Edom has two suns that rise twice a day - a red sun and a yellow sun."
"Double sun?" Kadori inquired, his face showing confusion."Yes, the red sun shines for 12 hours, followed by the yellow sun for another 12 hours," Yukiko elaborated.
"Then, the next three days will be in total darkness. After those three days, the sun will shine again. That's how it works here."
"That's peculiar," Kadori commented, scanning the area.
The place looked far more advanced than Earth, with tall buildings dotting the landscape and vehicles both on the ground and in the air.
Even Earth's cities didn't compare.
"The sun is what we use to charge our Evo weapons. It serves as the weapon's power core. Additionally, the sun provides energy for higher-grade beasts," Yukiko continued her explanation.
"What do you mean by 'Evo weapon'?" Kadori asked.
"Evo weapons are weapons crafted from Beast Energy Zens," Yukiko replied.
"When a beast is slain, a spherical object called the Energy Zen materializes above it."
"The Energy Zen sustains the beast and enhances its strength. The higher the Energy Zen, the more potent the Evo weapon."
"Beasts are classified into different tiers. There's the Basic Tier, Master Tier, Grandmaster Tier, Knight Tier, God Tier, and Demon Tier."
"The Basic Tier comprises the regular infected creatures that roam around. Their Energy Zen is too low to create an Evo weapon, so we use them as a source of light."
"Next, we have the Master Tier, which is the second weakest tier. However, they are still formidable opponents. You need to be highly skilled in using your chaos energy and Evo weapons against them."
"Then there's the Grandmaster Tier. These beasts are incredibly powerful, and the energy obtained from them can be used to create potent weapons. A mere Bronze chaos energy user wouldn't stand a chance. Even a Silver 3 chaos user would struggle against a Grandmaster beast."
As Yukiko explained, Kadori realized he was only a Bronze 1,since it displayed on the system earlier.
Chaos energy had different grades - Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Heroic.
Bronze was the lowest, while Heroic was the highest. To advance to the next rank, one needed to achieve at least four stars in their current rank.
Kadori had to earn four stars in Bronze 1 to progress to Bronze 2.
'Since I have a grade, does that mean I'm a chaos energy user?' Kadori wondered.
Uncle Duncan had forbidden anyone in the village from passing down chaos energy to him. How had he suddenly acquired it?
'If I'm now a chaos energy user, why do I have a system showing my stats? Do all chaos energy users have a system like this?'
Kadori had never heard anyone discuss anything like leveling up their ranks as if it were a video game. He knew they achieved higher ranks by defeating infected creatures and rigorous training.
"Uhm... excuse me," Kadori interrupted, causing Yukiko to pause her explanation and turn her attention to him.
"What's the matter?" Yukiko asked.
"I just want to know if chaos energy users can see their stats like in a video game and increase those numbers?" Kadori inquired.
Yukiko burst into laughter after hearing Kadori's questions.
"You've definitely played too many Moonlight games," Yukiko said, chuckling. "The only way to increase your ranks is by killing as many higher graded beasts as possible."
Hearing Yukiko's response, Kadori couldn't help but feel that his situation was different from others.
"Let's continue with the explanation," Yukiko suggested. "There's also the Knight Tier, God Tier, and Demon Tier. Those tiers are strictly off-limits. Even the Terminators steer clear of them."
"Terminators?" Kadori asked.
"Terminators are individuals who make a living hunting these beasts. They venture into the beasts' domains and hunt them for money. My brother, Santino, and I are also part of the Terminators. It's one of the easiest ways to make money with our skills."
A bright idea suddenly occurred to Kadori after hearing Yukiko's words.
What if he joined the Terminators and hunted monsters as well? That way, he'd slay numerous beasts, gain stats, and level up.
"Can I become a Terminator?" Kadori inquired.
"For a Bronze rank like you, I think it'll be challenging," Yukiko replied. Seeing the disappointment on Kadori's face, she quickly added, "However, it's not entirely impossible for a Bronze 1 rank to join. You just need to undergo some special training and pass certain tests."
"Sure, why not? I'll do whatever it takes," Kadori responded, determination gleaming in his eyes.
'Once I gather enough stat points and increase my stats, I'll go from being the once-weak Kadori to a god,' he pondered.

Back in the village, night had fallen, and everyone was returning to their homes for a well-deserved rest.
As a woman walked through the dark, empty area, she spotted something that resembled a person approaching her in an odd manner.
The darkness prevented her from seeing the person's full appearance or face.
"Is everything okay?" she called out as the stranger drew nearer.
GROWL!
As the stranger got closer, she started to hear growling sounds emanating from him.
AAHHHH!
She attempted to flee, but the creature had already caught up to her, sinking its claws into her neck and feeding on her until she dropped dead.
Moments later, she rose, bones cracking and reshaping into strange positions, fangs emerging, and her face transforming into that of the creature.
After the transformation was complete, the two creatures charged towards the villagers' residences.
