Chapter 4 Part 9

The other 2 then stepped on the magic walkway, and made it to the front of the Grand Sanatorium. Codarisu stepped on the magic walkway, and made it to the Grand Sanatorium, however, so did Hristov. Hristov didn't seem tired at all, despite running with sheer strength. The three stopped at the entrance of the Grand Sanatorium. Their magic uncasted itself the moment they stopped moving. Hristov stopped running, and walked towards them.

As he approached them, he asked with a bit of rage, "Can you kindly give me back that demon? I spent my precious time catching that thing, and maybe I can finally increase my rank with it. If you don't, I won't hesitate to kill you all." The tension and pressure was extreme. Despite that, Codarius didn't change his decision whatsoever. He then told Lux and Rick, "Well, we need to try to stop him somehow." Lux knew how strong Hristov was. Rick kept the same serious face.

He suddenly gave Lux the body of the 'Demon', then walked towards Hristov. Lux immediately tried to stop Rick from moving on, but Rick simply kept on walking towards Hristov. Lux then yelled, "Stop! Don't you see how ridiculous that guy is? He isn't even going full out, we don't stand a slightest chance against him!" Rick then approached Hristov. Hristov saw Rick stand in front of him. He then asked, "Well, aren't you really brave? What are you trying to do?" Rick then replied, "I'm going to stop you." Hristov then smirked, and grabbed Rick's head. Lux and Codarius yelled at Rick to run away, but it was too late.

The moment Hristov grabbed Rick's head, Rick got engulfed by flames that burnt the very atoms of the air away, creating a small chain reaction of explosions. Lux casted himself, Codarius, and the 'Demon' with 'Lift' and protected them from the explosions. There were black clouds everywhere, with the smoke clearing as it rises to the distant skies. They immediately saw Hristov fly into the air, with a huge annoying grin on his face. Then he rose his hand, casting another spell. This time the flame was pitch black. Lux then gritted his teeth as he was faced with the view of Hristov getting ready to shoot the flame towards them. Codarius asked Lux, "Can your move from before protect us?"

Lux then replied, "Probably not, those black flames of Hristov are known to be able to burn through everything it passes by, even if it means ignoring the very law of our world… Knowing that, my spell will probably get ignored, completely turning us to flames." Codarius then looked behind them, and then grabbed Lux by the arms. "Hold that guy, we're running to the Sanatorium!" Lux then exclaimed, "There's no way we're getting away, you know how fast his moves are, it'll hit the very moment it is launched to us!"

Codarius yelled, "I don't care, it's better then nothing." He then grabbed Lux and the unconscious 'Demon' and dragged them towards the Sanatorium. Lux then got up and helped Codarius carry the 'Demon'. However it was obviously too late. Hristov launched the black flames, which then shot like a lazer, with the flames already beginning to reach the destination before the trajectory could even form. Codarius then fell and held his hands over his head in vain, knowing that it was probably all over for them. But they didn't feel the flames. Codarius wondered if he had already died, and looked behind him. Something seemed to have blocked the beam of black flames. Lux then yelled, "Impossible!" Codarius was confused on what had happened, and looked behind.
