The bus ride was uncomfortably long. The agreement was that Sean would wait for her at Lesley's,an eatery ten minutes away from the police station. She held the band in her hands. According to Sean,it doesn't matter if she's wearing it or not. The woman by her siding was nodding off,spit drooling down her chin. There was traffic and that added 20 minutes to the drive.

Finally the police station came in sight and she stopped. She turned to look around. The lights around assured her that there was nobody around. She gingerly went to the gate of the station, pushed it open and got in.

8:20.

She hurried in. At the reception,there was a female officer. She smiled at her and waved. Alana waved back.

  "What would you like ma'am?"

  "I want to use the restroom" A blush crept up her cheeks as she whispered the excuse Sean had come up with.

Asshole.

The woman nodded before leaving her post. The woman was the only person around and she was gone now. Around 8:25-8-40, the police officers had a meeting,so Sean had said.

8:26.

She had until 8:35 to leave. Sean had also said that. She hurriedly got out of her clothes and dropped the band on it. Her heart hammered in her chest,it scared her to be alone.

When she was done,she donned the hat and walked out,heart in her mouth. She wondered if she should take a cab to the eatery.

What if the Seeker was in the car? What if he found her?

The paranoia made her walk instead,with the thought that she could run easily.

8:50.

The eatery came in sight and she saw Sean waiting for her outside of it. She hastened to get to him. His arms were outstretched and she ran into it.

  "You did good" he murmured at the back of her head. Holding her hands,he led her into the eatery. There was nobody there. On one of the tables was what could be called a buffet. Her eyes widened.

  "Let's eat" he said. She nodded, realizing that she hadn't had a meal in days at the growl of her stomach.

9:00pm.

Sean was telling her a story of something that happened when he was in highschool.

  "..he was literally wanking to the smell of her vomit"

She doubled, laughing.

  "That's disgusting".

Alana's alarm went off and she froze.

9:03pm.

  "It's okay, everything is fine" He said, standing up gently to hug her.

  She sobbed.

"I'm so scared,you don't understand"

  "I understand,trust me,I do. You'll be safe with me,I promise"

9:05pm"

"You'll be fine,I promise "

9:06pm.

"Look at the time" He said. A smile crept up her face.

"You're one minute late for death" He whispered in her ears, in that voice she had heard before dying the last time. The knife came behind her,cutting through her. Her eyes were wide,in fear and disbelief.

  "I need you to die permanently,you see, and giving you hope was the only way."

The pain was unbearable,she tried reaching out to hold him. He smiled,a villainous smile that contorted his appearance. The darkness was looming above her,she knew this time around she'll die for sure. His hands went to her back,he pulled out the knife, brought it to her stomach and stabbed her again.

  Leaning towards her ears,he whispered,"I am the killer and the Seeker"

He stabbed her again,her blood splattering on his face. She knew that this time around the darkness was real. As her eyes closed,the last thing she heard was his laughter from a mile away.

9:07pm.

Alana Thompson died.
