Winning Is Fun

The next few minutes of football was quite enjoyable for Alexis. Without the pressure of impressing Nicolas or joining Teesside's under sixteens, his football became fluid. He was really just playing to have fun. He'd go on a bit of a dribbling run and release the ball to whoever was open, he'd pass the ball around with his partners in midfield, he was... having fun.

After thirty minutes had passed since the beginning of the free training match, Nicolas blew his whistle and ordered the players to rest. Alexis walked towards where Omari and Alexis sat and plopped down on the little bit of space between their chairs.

"You stink". Omari said as soon as Alexis sat down. Alexis didn't respond, he let out an exhausted sigh and used his shirt to clean up the sweat on his face.
