Kite removed all these negative thoughts and prepared to face the Hobgoblin King. He used inspect to see how it's faring.

It still has half of its HP left. If the property executed his skills and abilities, he still has a chance to change the tide of battle. He looked at Vanessa who was far away and nodded his head. Vanessa saw this and nodded back.

She nocked her arrows and begun shooting. She activated skill by skill to damage the boss as much as she could. The sword Kite was holding was already thrown to a faraway place. If she headed there, the King will have a chance to kill Kite. What she could only do was to distract and damage the Hobgoblin.

Kite who was no weapon proceeded to hand to hand combat. Luckily back in his on Earth, he used to study karate for two years. But he was not that fit to join contests, competitions, and tournaments. His sparring partner on Earth was weak as he was so he can still not get bored in the dojo. However, he didn't continue due to laziness.

But his body and stats were enhanced here in Godryk. By leveling, his body condition, like strength and speed was stronger for fifteen times than his past self.

He prepared to rush towards the King once more. Just a little bit and he can slay this piece of shit.

The Boss could only laugh seeing Kite engaging him without a sword. It didn't continue to attack and casually hit and deflect the incoming arrows.

"Don't ever call yourself a swordsman when you don't even possess a sword!" The Hobgoblin King shouted imposingly.

Kite looked dismayed when he heard this. He was right. A swordsman without a sword was not a swordsman. His past sword which he used to hunt monster in the Millow Forest, has low durability now. One swing and it will crumble into pieces, completely useless.

But his will didn't waver. If he'll die here then he'll just revive and not enter this dungeon anymore. If he could accumulate a lot of negative karma because of this, he wouldn't care. He has a lot of things he could do to escape this situation.

When the King saw Kite looking determined, he didn't hesitate anymore. He already deemed Kite as Jax's successor. Such a godly item that could revive you back in time is no laughing matter. That ring could be considered the most powerful item in the whole Godryk. And Jax was rumored to be the only one who can use the equipment's power. That's how Jax ruled supreme and able to defeat the two Gods who were just as powerful as him, by himself in the war of the ancient era.

He was created by Jax. He was one of his followers in the Oddress faction. He supported Jax in the war against the Celestials and Chthonians. He even knew that Jax possessed the Infinity Ring. A secret a few only knew.

But when he died in battle, Jax revived him. However, he ordered him not to fight anymore but to guard this dungeon. He didn't hesitate to follow his creator's order and guard this dungeon for millenniums. Until time drove him to insanity. He couldn't leave this palace he was at. He tried everything he could but whatever methods he used, none work. This led to anger to rose in his heart. He now believed that Jax betrayed him. Jax was afraid that he, the Hobgoblin King, will be reanimated by his enemy and he'll expose the truth regarding his most kept secret. That's why Jax was his creator and killer. Jax killed his freedom.

Until one day one human entered this dungeon. He was surprised that when he entered this palace, his strength was limited to a certain degree. He was killed by that human. And when that human shredded him into pieces, he magically revived after the human left. After that more and more humans and other races came to his palace.

He realized that his power will depend on the raiders of his palace. And they strangely call him the Last Boss.

When a weak party entered his territory, he tortured them and kept them alive. He asked every question he has and finally got the answer. He was at a dungeon, Goblin's Paradise. The reason his power was limited sometimes was because of the different kinds of difficulties in the system. That was the reasoned his power was suppressed.

And after waiting for so, so long, he finally miraculously met Jax's successor. He wanted to have his revenge. But to his dismay, he saw the Infinity Ring on Kite's hand. That only means he would never ever die. But he still wanted to have his revenge. Even if he dies and got revived again, who knew? Maybe the Hobgoblin King in other timelines succeeded in killing Kite. This was enough for him.

Upon thinking about this he put all his strength on the spear he was wielding. He decided to Kill Kite in one full sweep.

Red Dragon!

His red and golden spear glowed in an intense intensity. A 100-meter long eastern dragon appeared on the Boss' head and circled the majestic King.

He raised his spear high up in the air and the dragon excitedly entered it. His spear turned completely red and grew larger. The aura coming from it was so terrifying, like a dragon.

"See you in the next timeline, Jax's successor!" it shouted irrationally. The ecstasy he felt was unimaginable. All this time he wanted revenge, only one revenge. And now he has a chance to fulfill this lifetime request of his

He pointed his gigantic spear towards Kite and grinned. His once-imposing face was now completely drenched in tears. Finally...
