15. Pre WW2

June 1939, India

WW2 is fast approaching, Adolf Hitler became the Chancellor of Germany in 1933 when my CDM was going on. Since than he has been rapidly increasing his military might and solidifying his control over Germany.

I have also started readying my party for launching Quit India Movement in 1941. We have already established it in the party that no support for the war will be given from India. All our efforts will be on improving the infrastructure, economy and living conditions of the people.

In anticipation of this war I have already started trying to convince the military to not participate in war and do their duty to their country. For this purpose I have been sending my men who show great leadership skills and knowledge of tactics in the army for mutiny. But these action will not be taken now but when the British government is at its weakest.

But even than I will not let them take our military to war without any concessions, not even at gunpoint. And I have a simple demand for this help, transfer of all the gold reserves of India that are stored in London to India at the risk of British government for which even a gram of gold missing will be paid back by ten.

The British are buying the necessary supplies like medicine, clothes, ammunition and food in bulk at whatever price available. Due to their need for war they have been buying these goods from the companies and industries recently established by my advise. Knowing their needs I am secretly increasing the prices of these goods by hoarding the raw goods through secret channels and then selling them at a slow pace and higher rate, making British have a taste of their own medicine.

They tried to find out the hoarder but neither am I hoarding at a single place normal am I hoarding it myself but it is my men who are hoarding it in many small and medium sized warehouses and whenever we hear that they are close to finding any warehouses we sell all the raw material or transfer it.

So British can't do anything other than giving fare prices for these goods for the first time since they colonized India as all these companies are directly supported by my parties due to this very reason and they can't antagonize us just before a war as big as these.

That's why I am inciting army to make a non violent rebellion for this cause. And British government is at the breaking point. I have designed special vaults for the gold for this purpose and British government can't do anything against it.

Well, it's not like they didn't try to assassinate me there have been 5 failed attempts on me but I didn't take martial arts and military training for nothing. I have always been prepared for this and is always careful. I started taking special care after I started this rebellion in military and my special forces are always keeping an eye on all possible location to snipe at me and I went through poison resistance training from a young age. I have already sended my family to Cochin to my father in law where British influence is lowest and my female agents are always with them, even in bathroom in form of their maids.

Finally by July end the British government agreed to my demands and signed the treaty for transferring all the gold to RBI vaults designed by me and made by my company. In return the military will go to war with them

Well they will go to war with them but will fight for me. They will covertly kill British commanders for me to kill their military talents for future independence struggle.

After this agreement Indian military started gearing up for war but they did not start marching right away. They waited till every last gram of gold arrived, measured and was accounted. Only after this they agreed to go to war.

My reason for taking such drastic action was the partition of India and Burma. While the partition was only in name as British still occupies it as a colony and everything is same but British just consider it another country. Even the leaders of their freedom struggle is my men. But I can't let such an insult go without retaliation. How dare they devide a part of our country without our permission. Leading to this situation.

But look at the positive side we got all our gold back in our care and don't have to do anything major for this after independence and we got another thing out of their control on which they can negotiate with us. Yes, I entered there list of enemies but they don't have time to focus on me afterall they have a war to win or be ruled by a dictator.

And I am not worried about them much as I just have to take control of the military and government now to make India independent but that can only start after the WW2 start in earnest. That's why I am waiting for 1941 to start anything major when all their military personnel is at the war front, government is busy in maintaing the logistics and they don't have time to focus on us.

Now British do not have anything except for one thing to negotiate for Indian goods after we declare independence. Now we will see how long they can sustain their power and small island infront of foreign competition without Indian help and products to loot.

Now the war of between our two nations will start after independence and this time we will not be cheated by them because once bitten, twice shy. And we have learned that in this world the nation and its leaders only look for their individual benefits, not mutual benefit, not the benefit of their allies, nothing. All they want is their benefit and everyone has their own motives for their every action. So, we learned not to completely trust foreigners completely ever again and specially don't give them rights to bring their military for any reason without finalising full agreement beforehand.
