Iwa was a bust

The moment we stepped foot anywhere near the gates, the guards walled the place up tighter than a broken pressure cooker

Of course, we tried telling them we came with no intention to harm anyone but we got no response other than another layer of earth being added to the giant wall

Must still be recovering from Minato's massacre of their forces. Can't afford anyone to get inside nor leave without authorization from the Kage himself

So, in response, Fū and I are now staying at the Earth Temple overlooking the ocean. When we told them we needed warmth and shelter they gladly took us in for the night until we met the head monk

They gave us a small room by the side of the main temple, gave enough food for the night and even allowed Fū and I to sit in on their evening meditation and training - All of which being more that what we could've asked for

The head monk here was an old woman named Akiko - A play on words for her unnatural earth affinity and ability to condense it into something resembling Crystal Release

When we first met on the morning after we got there, she went on a rant about Oonoki, saying things like "That stubborn bastard needs to stop being such a prick" and "Even so long after we dated, he's still a hardass"

They dated? I guess?

Akiko allowed us to stay for as long as we needed, as long as we obeyed the temple rules and didn't interrupt the young trainees in their exercises, which we accepted

"If you would like to join in on our training, you will have to wait until winter, when we start taking in fresh trainees. You will also have to stay for a minimum of 2 years to complete your stay" She left off with

At the moment, it was late July, so we waited nearly three months there, watching the elder students train. Even if I didn't have an Earth affinity, this info could come in handy later. Fū never seemed to care that we were staying here, instead appreciating the fact that she had a friend she could talk with

When October rolled around, the month for taking in newbies, classes finally started

(A/N : I just realized I forgot to give both of the siblings a description - Please allow me to do Sara's right now. Whoops)

The day lessons started, we got up early. First time in a long time bathed at three in the morning. It was also the first time in a long time I could actually look at myself in a reflection. The land of river's hot springs were too cloudy..

In my previous life, I was an average looking girl. Hip length, straight, chestnut colored hair, black eyes, skin that sunburned way too easily, acne that would come and go whenever it felt like it. My only 'Saving grace' was my bust size - a D - which was a nightmare in and of itself. Especially since I only grew to and measly height of 5'1".

In this life, however, I was completely different. My now curly, auburn hair was now cut shoulder length and looked like a mane of fire. My eyes were an icy white that looked so cool it'd put Samui to shame. My skin seemed like it was descended from the land of frost with how pearlescent it seemed. The freckles on the cheeks didn't really help the country girl look either..

My saving grace however - It seemed I wasn't going to get past a B. Bless. The. Lord. The fit body is also great, I did not forget that

With the bath now done, the time now at 4 A.M, we went out for a morning exercise (Getting the feeling that Hoshi was doing the same thing) which took about two hours and went inside

The room was small, able to fit us and another 5-6 kids comfortably. 4 others were already inside and about to fall asleep. There was, surprisingly, only one guy in the mix with three other girls. The boy was short and stick like. He had short, messy plain brown hair and dull green eyes. He seemed reluctant to be here but it could have been because he was the only male in the room

The other three girls were somewhat hidden by a wall on the far left of the room. A girl with long, raven colored hair. Another with a light blue color with almost jade like eyes - First 'protagonist' color I've seen. Then the final girl…

"PHFFFFFFF"

IT WAS A MINI-KUROTSUCHI

HAHA!

Oh my god, she looks so Chibi! Why the fuck is she here?

When the three girls realized who I was laughing at, they all sent cute little glares at me which made me laugh even harder. When the teacher came in, Fū and I were on the ground laughing our asses off while the groupies were now pouting. Little Skinny was confused and a little scared

I think he was amused until a wave of pressure drifted over the room, making everyone lock up and start to sweat

"Quiet down now~"

We immediately got into rows of three. Fū, the bluenette, and I into one and the other three into another

The teacher, who I now recognized as one of the monks I had met sometime around September - Hagane-San - sat in front of us in a calm lotus position

The man was one of the few in the temple that didn't look like they had taken a gallon of roids. He was an all lean muscle build. Basically, if you took a dragon ball character like Goku, mixed him with a swimmer from like FREE! or something - you would get Hagane-San

His closed eyes seemed to wander over us, inspecting and identifying our weak points

"Let's start off with Introductions, shall we? My name is Hagane, no last name. You may call me Hagane-Sensei or Hagane-San. My likes consist of spending time in the caves under the Earth Temple, Meditation, and working on my Steel Working in the forge. I dislike loud noises and sandstorms. My dream for the future is to perfect my special earth release techniques. Now then, you there, Chibi"

He pointed at Kurotsuchi and I almost burst out laughing again

The girl gave him a cute glare and huffed

"My name is Kurotsuchi. I like my grandpa and Marshmallows. I don't like people who make fun of my height" Que another glare "And people who attack Iwagakure! My dream for then future is to become the Tsuchikage!"

Hagane grinned and looked at the Smurf

"You now"

She seemed to straighten up and look forward

"My name is Amisa. I like to travel, swim and meeting people from other countries. I dislike Amegakure, The summer, and pears. My dream is to become a bounty hunter"

Oh? Bounty hunter? Dislikes Ame? This seems like a female Kakuzu to me..

"You there, Uchiha but not Uchiha"

Jeez, we're really picking on these girls aren't we…

"Ah, ehm.. My name is Natsuki… I like gardening and taking care of animals.. I dislike bright things and people who are rude for no reason.. my dream is to become successful in life…"

"You now, Boy"

The kid straightened up and looked forward like Amisa. This isn't a military drill…

"My name is Iwano, Sir! My likes consist of spending time with my pet owl, Hoo-Chan! As well as reading historical fiction! I do not dislike anything in particular and my dream is to become a powerful earth release user!"

Damnit, we have the loud one that can't see what's right in front of him…

"Next, Minty!"

Fū pouted at that nickname. Made me laugh again

"My name is Fū~ I like my friend Sara, Bugs, and traveling. I don't really dislike much, but Takigakure and Snakes come to mind… My dream is to reunite my friend Chomei with his brothers and sisters~"

The Nanabi already seems to like Fū enough to her it's name so I told her about the other Tailed beasts and now she wants to meet all of them or something

"Now then, lastly, you there curly"

"My name is Sara. I don't particularly like anything and I don't really dislike anything. My hobbies aren't important"

Hagane's eye twitched and I could see the irritation roll off him

The others got startled when he suddenly reached into the back of his monk robes and pulled out a stack of seven square papers

Then I got excited when I realized what they were..

"These are Chakra Induction Papers. They identify your elemental affinity. We must do this first so that we know which path we must lead you all onto"

Hagane handed the papers out to all of us and lifted the last one in his hands

"Who does not know what a Chakra Induction Paper is?"

Everyone but Chibi-Kurotsuchi and I lifted their hands

"Hmmm.. I figured we would have some academic kids this year… What this paper does is measure our elemental affinity. If it burns, it's aligned to fire. If it crumbles to dust, Earth. Crinkles, Lightning. Dampens, Water. And if it splits in half, a wind affinity"

The four others now looked like they just won the lottery. It wasn't really that great but they were like 8, so I don't blame em

"Yes, Sara?"

"Oh, yeah. What about things like an affinity for Bloodlines or Yin and Yang affinities? Does it pick that up?"

The room went silent for a moment. Hagane's eyebrows were up in his hairline and everyone was staring at me like I had to have the answers to the universe

'Ninjas really don't study that much, do they? Damn wizards..'

"An excellent question, and one that makes me wonder where you learned of the existence of Yin and Yang chakra. Usually that's only in clan techniques such as the Nara Clan's Shadow Manipulation or the Akimichi Clan's Body Expansion. There is no accurate way to measure your affinity, so to say, towards those natures. Bloodlines, however, are much easier to determine"

Hagane pulled out a small wooden box and opened it to reveal another stack of darker, purple square papers

"These are very valuable and are made by soaking trees in an unbelievable amount of chakra. These ones are made and shipped from Takigakure, designed to specifically identify dormant bloodlines"

Hmm, fascinating…

"Now then, I assume all of you know how to access your chakra, right?" Everyone nodded "Good, then all you have to do is trickle some into the paper and it will happen automatically"

Iwano went first. Immediately the paper crumbled into a fine dust, akin to a flour or powdered sugar

"Staggeringly high Earth affinity. Fantastic"

If I had to guess, this kid is almost on the level of the second Hokage's water

Amisa was next. The paper crumpled up into a loose ball then cut itself on the edges shallowly

"A main lightning and secondary wind. Seems to be an average level.. Good"

Wind and lightning? She will become very fast if nurtured correctly. Maybe not 4th level or Raikage but up there

Next was Natsuki. She nervously lifted the paper. The corners dampened and dripped while it seemed to darken into a purplish color

"Main water. Darkens, maybe a mutation? Who knows. Still, good"

Next was Kurotsuchi. Her paper obviously crumbled to a dirt and then lit up on fire. Lava release user, incoming

"Main earth, secondary fire. We may need a second test. Wonderful"

Fū was next. The paper split into four then crumbled up. Lots of earth affinities here. It is Iwa, though..

"Main wind, secondary earth. It is rare to have wind, but we have someone who is proficient in both of your natures. You are lucky"

Nice, we have a wind user here. That is good

Now then, it was my turn. I trickled some of my chakra into the paper and noticed immediately that something was wrong

Nothing was happening

"Are you having troubles, curly?"

I grumbled and nodded. The man helped me before, I know he's not going to make fun of me for it

He moved over to my side and put a hand on my shoulder, where immediately he opened his eyes in shock

"Wait here"

He left the room soon after, leaving all of us to wonder what we happening

"Awesome! Sara-San has a powerful affinity! As to be expected from our smart one!" Three gue- It was Iwano

"Hmph, or she doesn't have one. It's what she deserves honestly" wow Kurotsuchi is kind of a bitch, wtf

Hagane returned with another paper and handed it to me. It was green, almost pistachio like and the texture felt smooth

"Try this"

I nodded and did so. The paper seemed to absorb my chakra endlessly, like a whirlpool. The color changed to a white, sprinkled with black, Turning into a soggy mess before turning to mud with the following crumbling

"Main water with secondary water. High affinities. We will need to test you and Kurotsuchi again"

Hmm? Please no…

He pulled out two of the other papers and handed them to us

I'm not Hashirama!

As expected, Kurotsuchi's paper turned into a magma like substance, heating up and dripping to the floor

"Lava release. Wonderful. Senior Inyio is a master and will teach you well"

Fuck no, I am not the next Senju patriarch. I'm a woman! Wood Release? Fuck no!

At a point, I just said fuck it and poured my chakra into the paper

"Of fucking course you did"

Wooden tendrils sprouted from the paper, sprouting branches and a few small leaves

'Oh shit this is exhausting'

"Sara? Are you ok?"
