Chapter 31

"Are you kidding me?"

Tony and Yinsen were stunned by Leo's response. He came here alone, without any backup, and planned to rescue them from fifty to sixty heavily armed terrorists? This sounded far more implausible than their own escape plan involving a makeshift suit of armor. They had already completed some parts of the design and built some components. With another month of secrecy, they might have a chance to break out.

"You don't need to worry about that. Just stay here and don't move. I'll take care of the men outside," Leo said as he finalized their agreement. He used the Transformation Jutsu again, turning back into Obadiah Stane, and headed towards the large iron door.

"Don't you need our help?" Tony called out.

Without looking back, Leo waved dismissively, "Just stay put and don't distract me. That's the best help you can offer."

Tony: "..."

Leo opened the iron door and smiled warmly at the two guards standing outside. "I've settled things in there. Take me to see Raza."

One of the guards peeked inside to check on Tony and Yinsen, then nodded to the other guard, who led Leo towards the surveillance room. After leaving the cell, Raza had headed straight there to monitor the situation. He saw Obadiah smashing the surveillance camera just as he arrived.

Following the guard through the winding passages, Leo soon reached Raza again. The side mission's goal was to kill Raza and destroy the base. Eliminating Raza was the top priority; if he managed to escape during a fight, it would be a huge problem.

As for Raza's men, killing them all would be ideal, but if a few managed to escape, it wouldn't be a big deal. They would blame Obadiah, not Leo.

"I've kept my end of the bargain. Now it's your turn," Raza said coldly in the surveillance room, placing a laptop in front of Leo for him to transfer the funds.

Raza had agreed to bring Obadiah to the base and wasn't angry about the broken camera because he believed that once Obadiah was on his turf, he had no choice but to comply. If Obadiah refused to pay, Raza would kill him on the spot.

Leo smiled slightly at the laptop in front of him, then stepped forward and grabbed Raza's head with lightning speed, twisting it violently.

"Crack!"

The sound of Raza's neck snapping echoed through the room as his head turned a full circle, leaving him undeniably dead.

"That's one problem solved."

With Raza down, Leo glanced at the other two men in the room, who were momentarily paralyzed by shock. It took them a few seconds to remember to draw their guns, but by then, it was too late.

Leo's current strength allowed him to anticipate and dodge bullets even if they were aimed at him. One man's hand barely touched his gun before Leo kicked him into the wall, snapping his neck. The other man managed to draw his weapon but was sent flying by a powerful spinning kick from Leo, hitting the wall and falling to the ground, dead.

"It seems no one noticed, that's convenient."

His swift and ruthless actions had taken out Raza and the other two without a single gunshot, so the rest of the Ten Rings members outside remained unaware.

Leo used the Transformation Jutsu again, this time taking on Raza's appearance, and left the surveillance room. He walked out of the cave and waved to the men patrolling the valley, calling them over.

Seeing their leader signal them, the armed men hurried over.

"Blah blah blah..."

A stream of foreign words that Leo didn't understand came from their mouths, but he ignored them and gestured for them to follow him back into the cave. Although puzzled by their leader's silence, they complied due to his usual authority.

Leading them to a spacious area inside the cave, Leo looked around and said, "This spot will do nicely for your graves."

Before the men could react, a sharp knife appeared in Leo's hand. He had obtained this weapon during a previous mission, and it was stored in his mission space for easy access.

With chakra enhancing his body, Leo became a blur, and blood splattered everywhere. The Ten Rings members, unable to react in time, fell one by one, clutching their throats and screaming.

If these 30 or 40 men had been spread out in the valley with cover and their guns ready, it would have been difficult for Leo to take them down without getting injured. Modern firearms are not to be underestimated. But grouped together and allowing him to get close, their fate was sealed.

In modern society, sometimes supportive ninja techniques could be more dangerous than offensive ones when dealing with ordinary people.

After the massacre, Leo released his Transformation Jutsu and returned to his original form. He headed back to the secure room where Tony and Yinsen were.

"Oh, I forgot about the guard at the iron door."

A few steps later, Leo saw the guard approaching cautiously, gun in hand, alerted by the sounds of the slaughter.

"Ram-Serpent-Monkey-Boar-Horse-Tiger, Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!"

Leo formed the hand seals quickly and spat out a massive fireball. The guard, seeing the stranger, raised his gun to shoot but was terrified to see the incoming fireball and tried to run. However, he couldn't escape and was engulfed by the flames, turning into a charred corpse.

"Not bad," Leo nodded in satisfaction and continued deeper into the cave.
