Not Coincidence

"There is something I am not getting here"

Mitchell voiced out as both watched Claire's diminishing back.

  "Which is?"

Michael asked with eagerness in his voice. If he is not confused by what's happening, then he is a lier.

"Why I feel like she is family but we practically knows every relatives of ours"

Michael sighed and faced Mitchell,"We can only get answers if we ask questions. I will never doubt our maternity but one thing I know is that this is something bigger than what we think. Despite what is happening between us and mom, we need to ask her series of questions not just about dad but about this girl"

Mitchell agreed with him,"Surely, we need answers"

She paused and looked up at Michael,"this can't be a mere coincidence. She can't be looking like I am then still have this dress that mom has"

Michael furrowed his brow immediately,"what do you mean that?"

"What I mean is that this same dress she is wearing I have seen in mom's closet. I had asked mom several times why she has the dress but she has not been able to give me an answer. I think this time around she will"

The two exchanged looks and decided to head home as much as possible.

Tasha walked in and met Catherine halfway. She was dressed and Tasha wondered where the lady is up to dressing like she is ready to kill. Catherine regarded Tasha for a while before walking off. Tasha sighed and jammed the door closed. She was home to change and see if she could go to work at least. The house was quiet and she could not make out why. On her way to her bedroom, she thought of branching to Tracy's room but thought against it and headed to hers instead.

"It's better I avoid him today by all means. I don't have his strength right now"

She said walking off to her bedroom.

Few seconds later she was out dressed in a black pants and shirt with the collar opened, the jacket hanging on her arm. Her hair was tied in a loose ponytail and she was wearing some black flats. A quick glance down showed that the shirt wasn't too far from revealing what the other clothes were hiding. She felt the need to take a breath as she walked past Tracy's room down the long corridor.

Opening the main entrance, she found her car gone and her hope of going to work shattered. Her handbag, phone and keys are in the car. Tracy's car was parked right there which narrowed down to who might have taken her car, her brother or Catherine.

There is only one way to find out, checking if her brother is inside and if he is, her question will be answered. She sighed and turned back and headed to her brothers' room.

She knocked twice, hearing nothing but silence after three knocks. She tried again, knocking twice more. She waited for the door to open so she could talk to Tracy but heard no footsteps, just another deafening silence. She stepped back a little when she heard the sound of footsteps.

  "Looking for me?"

Tracy asked with his left hand in his pocket and a coffee mug on the other hand. His expression was bored and the white shirt he wore looked a little rumbled. Tasha noticed his hair was still wet as he was trying to fix it a little.

"Oh uh... No not really".

She replied.

"Okay, come on right in."

He offered and opened the door, walked in and let Tasha walk in. After Tasha stepped in, he closed the door and faced his sister.

"You don't have to stand outside the door like that. This is your apartment"

Tasha nodded.

"Are you okay, I thought you left for work?"

He said taking a seat. Tasha shrugged as she took a seat next to Tracy on his bed. Tracy put his feet on the floor and sat sideways, looking at his sister who stared back blankly.

"I did but something came up and I came back."

She explained why she was home.

"That's alright. I see you are ready to go now?"

"That's right and I can't find my car. I was wondering if Catherine went out with it?"

Tasha asked carefully. Since Catherine is involved here, she has to be careful before Tracy would think she is accusing Catherine of stealing her car. Anything is possible.
