No Time Is Wrong

Vivian rushed into the hospital lobby and met a nurse in a hurry. She flagded the nurse with a wave of hand,

"Sorry, I am here for Mrs Zidat"

"And you are?"

"A friend, I am Vivian and I am here to see her. Can you show me where her ward is?"

   "Ward 102"

The nurses responded and rushed away. There are more important things to do than show someone around.

There was another emergency, a lady has been involved in a fatal accident and every staff is on the hot seat right now, the lady has to live by all means.

Vivian got to the ward by after searching for a while and sighed with relief. She is finally going to see her friend.

On her way here, she had thought about the kind of mess her Friend is into and had said she wouldn't be able to know what to do if she ever finds herself in such a mess. She prayed against her falling so deeply into temptation.

Opening the door, she stepped in and found Susan asleep. She saw Owen, the bother in-law backing the entrance with his hands in his pocket.

She took in some breath and walked in then closed the door noiselessly.

Owen turned swiftly and smiled at the lady standing by the door like a lost child. He recognized her as one of Susan's friends. The good sheep among the black wolves. He had at times asked himself how a lady like how would be friends with a lady like Susan and has not be influenced by Susan's lifestyle.

   "Vivian right?"

"Right. Good evening. It's seems she is asleep"

Vivian said and took some steps towards the bed.

"She is. She needs her rest. You are here to see her?"

"I am but I came at the wrong time"

Owen chuckled,

"No time is wrong. I am glad you are here. I can took a walk"

He said and walked to the door, opened it and looked at Vivian,

"I trust you to look after her while I am gone. Thanks"

Having said that, he closed the door and raced out of the hospital.

He is heading straight home to know if his brother is at home.

Vivian sat on the edge of bed and Susan opened her eyes almost immediately. She gave a small smile when she saw Vivian.

"Awwwn, the lastest mom in town. Come here"

Vivian said and walked to her on the bed and embraced her.

Susan sniffed her tears back, she did not want to cry in the presence of her friend.

Vivian broke the embrace and smiled lovingly at her.

"You my friend is bigger than what is happening now. We are bound to make mistakes, that's what makes us human. No man is without a sin so we will find away through this"

Susan smiled sadly. Her heart is so heavy and Vivian would not understand how she is feeling but it touches her to know Vivian is supportive. She could not call any of her friends except Vivian because they would not understand. They are obviously on the same lane with her.

"Thank you Vivy, I am grateful that you are here. It means the world to me."

"You don't have to thank me, that's what friends are for. Let me see the Angel"

Vivian said, walking round the bed to get to the baby's cot.

"She is so lovely like her mother"

The baby yawned and waved her tiny hands in the air.

  "I think she is hungry"

Vivian picked the baby up gently and carried her to Susan. She laid her beside Susan and carefully pulled some of the tubes away from Susan.

  "These ones are not needed"

"The nurse in you have spoken. If you can take them all off, I would be glad"

Susan said and pointed at the bag. Vivian understood her and got the bag.

"I think her milk is in there, make some for her please"

Vivian nodded and got to work.

All baby's things were inside. She picked the baby milk, her bottle and went to the dispensal to get hot water. Vivian made the milk and picked the baby afterwards and started feeding her.

She sat on the stool. Susan watched as her boundle of joy sucks the milk on the bottle with her tiny mouth.

"Whatever that happens, you will be my consolation."

"She is pretty, can I be her godmother?"

"Off course Vivian, you are already her godmother. I can't ask for a better godmother for my child. You are perfect for Claire"

"That's a beautiful name for a pretty baby, welcome to family, Claire Zidat"

Vivian said. She wishes the baby last name can be Zidat. Susan wishes the same thing too. Time will tell.
