Chapter 18: Wizard King Summons.

When Marx heard Ben had obtained information from the prisoner, he became excited.

They had been continuously trying to extract information from this prisoner for the past few days.

"Did you get the information?"

Marx asked to confirm what he heard was correct.

"Now tell us, who are they?"

Marx's expression turned serious as he held the introduction file to record it.

"They were normal bandits before six months ago,"

Ben started to explain.

"What?! That means they were normal bandits,"

Selena asked with a shocked look on her face.

Seeing everyone looking at her, she lowered her head in embarrassment.

"He means six months before,"

Marx corrected Selena.

"Yes, until they met a group of people calling themselves liberators,"

Ben nodded his head and named the evil organization behind the kid's sacrifice.

"They promised these bandits a big amount of money for every five sacrifices to those weird stones,"

Ben pointed at the stone with those mysterious markings.

Julius looked at the stone pillar and examined it once again with narrowed eyes.

Sigh...

"The worst part is they were not the only ones after the kids. That group contacted many bandits like them,"

Ben said with a serious expression.

"If many bandits are targeting children, then it will be a big matter. We need to take care of it immediately,"

Charlotte looked at the prisoners with disgust.

"Marx, inform Silver Eagle and Crimson Lions about this new information,"

Julius gave the order to Marx, who saluted and was about to leave.

"And also summon every captain of the magic squads,"

Julius coughed to get the attention back to him.

"Now, back to the topic. How is your investigation going?"

Julius looked at Nozel and Fugeleon, waiting for their answer.

"We didn't get any leads, but now with this information, I believe we can search for them,"

Nozel gave his answer with a frown.

Fuegoleon smirked at Nozel to annoy him.

"Uh... we stopped a bandit group who tried to kidnap a kid. But now with this information, I think they might also be involved with those liberators,"

Fugeleon gave a detailed report on the mission given to his squad.

Hearing Fugeleon's report, Wizard King nodded his head in satisfaction.

"I suspect it might be related to intruders from other countries like Spade,"

Julius started to talk about his assumption.

Hearing Julius, captains nodded their heads in approval.

"If this is happening due to involvement from other countries, why would they want to kill the kids?"

Rill asked with a confused look on his face.

Marx asked Rill, looking at him seriously.

Rill asked with a bitter smile on his face.

Yami answered, taking a puff from his cigarette.

Julius gave his order.

"Silver Eagle and Crimson Lions will continue the investigation,"

Hearing Julius, both Nozel and Fuegoleon saluted him.

Annie was searching the base looking for Ben when she saw Mary on the couch.

"Annie, what happened? Did you lose something?"

Mary, who noticed Annie was looking around searching for something, asked curiously.

"No, Mary. Do you know where Ben is?"

Annie asked while looking around, searching for Ben.

"Ohh... Why are you looking for him?"

Mary's eyes widened in shock because Annie always avoided talking to Ben whenever he tried to talk to her.

"I heard he was practicing every day, so I want to ask him if I can join him,"

Annie asked with an emotionless face.

"Oh, it's a great idea. Let's go and ask him; he must be under the tree in the rose garden,"

Mary jumped cheerfully, took Annie's hand, and pulled her towards the garden.

When the duo arrived at the rose garden, they saw Ben was sleeping peacefully under the shadows of the tree.

While Ben was sleeping peacefully without any care, Nero was sitting on top of his belly, which moved up and down while he was breathing.

"It looks like he is sleeping. What should we do?"

Mary looked at Annie, waiting for her reply.

"What? Let's wake him up,"

Annie started walking towards Ben without waiting for Mary to reply.

Annie woke Ben by shaking him like a rag.

"What!!! What happened?"

Ben looked at Annie and Mary before him with a confused look on his face.

'What happened? My Annie shook me like that.'

Ben looked at both standing before him, waiting for their answer.

"We heard you are training hard every day,"

Annie asked Ben, looking at him in his eyes.

"Yes, I always train. What happened?"

Ben raised an eyebrow at Annie's question and looked at Mary behind her, who was looking at him with expectation.

"We want to join in your training,"

Annie's grip tightened on Ben's shoulder, waiting for his answer.

"Sure, you can,"

Ben smiled bitterly, looking at Annie, who immediately turned and started walking away after getting an answer.

Time started to pass slowly...

Two weeks passed...

Annie and Mary joined Ben in his training for the past few days to improve themselves.

All this time, they didn't get any new missions.

"Ben, the captain was looking for you,"

Puli informed Ben, who was chatting with Peggy.

Ben nodded his head, bid his farewell to Peggy, and started walking towards the captain's office.

When Ben arrived at the door to the captain's office, he took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

"Come in,"

Charlotte's voice was heard from inside the room.

Ben opened the door and entered the room.

There he met Charlotte, who was speaking with Nozel.

"Ben reporting, captain."

Ben saluted Charlotte and waited for her to tell the reason for summoning.

"You have a solo mission, Ben, from the Silvia family, especially requesting you,"

Charlotte started to explain the mission.

When Ben heard this was a mission from Silvia's family, he was surprised.

"You need to guide Noel Silvia, the sister of Nozel Silvia, to train her to control her magic,"

Charlotte pointed at Nozel, who nodded his head.

"My sister's body has a lot of mana, but she can't control it. Due to special reasons, I can't teach her myself. My other siblings are not suited for the position. I saw your mana control in the magic knight exam, so I thought you would be suitable for her,"

Nozel stated his reason for hiring Ben.

'Here comes the Itachi of Black Clover. One wants to protect his brother by killing his clan; the other one wants to protect his sister by allowing his siblings to bully her,'

Ben looked at Nozel up and down.

For some reason, Nozel felt offended, thinking Ben might be cursing him in his mind.
