Sitting next to the bedridden Illya, Sella thought back on the conversation with the young demon.
---
(Flashback)
"Join your family?"
She shook her head.
"I cannot, I'm a proud homunculus of the Einzberns." She boldly proclaimed.
"The same Einzberns who will hunt down your mistress." Jun retorted in displeasure.
"I-
"Stop being so selfish!! This has nothing to do with your worthless pride of being a member of the Enizbern family! The moment they planned to scrap Illya is the moment they became your enemies! Knowing this, can you face Illya and say that you're still a proud homunculus of the Einzbern family!?"
"I-
"ANSWER ME!"
"NO!!... Is that what you want me to say! That I will turn my back on the people who created me! IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR!!"
*Sigh*
"Sella... I can't force you to join my family, but I want you to think about Illya. Do you want her to go through life constantly looking over her shoulder?"
Sella seemed to shudder at the thought of Illya being unable to live a meaningful life because of her actions.
".....I don't."
"I'm not asking you to betray the Einzberns, I'm telling you to betray them. Just think about it as me bullying you into it... Yeah, that's right, the evil demon invaded your castle and forced you all to become his subordinates or he'd annihilate the Einzbern family that you love so much. Would that work for you?"
Seeing that she wasn't answering, Jun realized that he'd spent to much time here and had to get back.
Turning his back on the homunculus, he decided that he'd return in the future.
Seeing the white haired boy turn to leave, she couldn't help but call out.
"Why go so far for her?"
Sella's voice caused him to pause his steps.
"...She deserves to have her own route." Was the only answer she received before he left.
'Route?'
---
"What a strange child." She smiled to herself while gently moving Illya's hair out of her face.
---
"So we're going to Tokyo?"
It had been 10 minutes since Jun's group had packed their bags and left the hotel.
"Hmph, we're going to meet a couple of old friends of mine there." Kariya replied not to happy that Jun knew their destination.
Seeing the annoyed expression on his face, Jun thought that he was too childish for a grown man.
Shrugging his shoulders he put his hands in his pockets. "Well its not like I really care where we're going."
"*Sigh* So what are you going to do with those 2?"
Looking in the direction Kariya was indicating at, 2 girls came into view.
One had beautiful caramel skin with innocent orangey yellow eyes. She wore a well fitting purple one piece dress and sandals.
Walking next to her was a girl with dark purple hair with a red ribbon tied to the side of it. She had deep purple eyes that seemed blank and her expression was completely stiff. If it wasn't for the fact that she was moving, it wouldn't be weird to say she looked like a doll.
"Are you sure about her?" Kariya suddenly spoke up.
"What do you mean?" Jun asked not understanding his question.
"I've seen people with the same look in their eyes before. They were husks of the people they used to be. I don't know what this girl has experienced to make her like this... But she needs help, and I'm asking if you think it was the right decision to take her with us."
Kariya looked back from Sakura to Jun with a raised brow.
"She has nowhere else to go... I couldn't just abandon her."
The old man looked at his student with a deep gaze before sighing.
"*Sigh* Its that kindness of yours that will be your undoing." He murmured.
Smiling at the comment Jun paid it no mind.
"I'm a lot of things, but I wouldn't exactly say I'm kind."
Moving towards the back of the group, Jun helped the girls carry their bags.
Sergei who had heard the entire conversation couldn't help but smile when he saw his young master's actions contradict his words.
---
The train ride to Tokyo was a peaceful one. Jun spent the majority of his time talking and playing card games with Daruku. They tried to include Sakura but she'd always just look at them with a blank expression without saying a word.
Jun didn't try to push her to do anything that she didn't want to do. She had only woken up recently and after spending a year in that....pit, Jun understood that she needed some time to adjust to her new situation. He only hoped that both he and Daruku would be able to help her do so.
"SNAP!!" Daruku shouted slamming her fist down on the little table that they were playing cards on.
She looked at Jun with a smug expression plastered across her face.
That smile soon faded when she heard Jun's next sentence.
"We're playing blackjack."
---
While the two children squabbled over the game they were playing, little Sakura quietly sat at the side away from the commotion looking at the scenery from the window.
"Beautiful isn't it?"
Instead of answering, Sakura mechanically turned her head to look at the person in question.
Standing behind her was a black haired young woman in a unfamiliar school uniform. She wore red rimmed glasses and had her hair tied back in one long braid. Her body exuberated a certain type of charm that made all the men in her vicinity take a second look at her. Even the disciplined Grandmaster Kariya and the war veteran butler Sergei had slightly red faces and couldn't stop themselves from sending a couple of glances her way.
The girl in question seemed completely oblivious to all this and kept talking to Sakura about the places outside the window.
When Jun realized that all the men were acting weird, he finally caught sight of the black haired girl talking to his newest family member.
'Oh?'
Placing a finger on his lips, he and Daruku crept towards the girl.
The closer they got the weirder Daruku started acting. Although it was not as extreme as the other men on the train, Daruku seemed to become slightly light headed and had a bit of trouble walking straight.
'What the hell?'
Feeling that the situation was quite weird, Jun focused all of his attention on the mysterious girl and took in a deep breath.
"Excuse me miss." He said politely.
"Hmm..."
Turning around, the young woman saw a white haired child with innocent gray eyes staring up at her.
'What a cute boy...'
Unconsciously licking her lips, the young woman quickly snapped out of her criminal-like thoughts.
'What am I thinking he's a minor!! Stupid bloodline!!'
Crouching down, she brought herself down to his level and showed off a somewhat strained smile.
"What can I do for you?"
'What is this? My body feels heavier for some reason?'
Furrowing his brows, Jun took a quick look at Sakura to see if she was reacting the same way he was.
'She seems fine... Is it because of this woman?'
Turning his attention back onto the black haired woman, he tried to make himself look as childish as possible.
"Our mommy said that we shouldn't talk to strangers."
"Our?"
He pointed at himself, Daruku and Sakura.
'They all have different coloured hair!! DDD-Does that mean that their mom has different children with d-different men!!'
While she was thinking to herself, she didn't realize that her face was turning bright red.
