don't know, don't care

Seeing this, the other students who already suspected Alex to be crazy immediately deserted him, a while later, Alex was the only one left there.

He clenched his hair, pulling on it, his eyes were red, tears threatening to rush out at any moment, he had never thought this naughty system of his was such a powerful self destruct function inside of him.

[Oh my God!! i am so sorry, I am really sorry, that wasn't intentional, I should have controlled myself, I didn't realize it would hurt that much, am sorry....] zero exclaimed, realizing that her outburst had done something unexpected to Alex.

She immediately started raining Alex with apologies, she was his system, she was never meant to hurt him in any way, she felt her purpose had been destroyed by her own self, she was extremely anxious.

"It's fine, I shouldn't have made you angry in the first place, I know it wasn't intentional" Alex said softly, he sighed before saying" just remember not to do that again, it hurts like hell though, hehe" Alex tried to ease her guilt, the last thing he needed right now was a sad and self blamed system, he felt it would only cause more damage to him.

[But, i-i]

"I said it's fine, alright?" Alex cut her off before she could complete her words, this system was really stubborn.

After convincing zero to forget about the issue, Alex had already arrived at the cafeteria before even realizing, none of the students bothered him along the way, some even avoided him for some unknown reason, seems like the news of him beating up six boys alone spread faster than he had expected, Alex was genuinely shocked by this, these kids information network sure were scary.

But Alex really didn't mind with this change in their behavior though, after all, them avoiding him would only save him from more troublesome situations in future, he even became appreciative for this.

Alex found a table for three and settled down. He took out his phone and sent a message to their group, telling them his location. He didn't buy anything for himself and just kept playing games on his phone, waiting for his friends to arrive.

Some students would often look at him with confused gazes because it wasn't normal for students to just come to the cafeteria to lay with their phones instead of eating, but none of them dared to voice their thoughts, if it was a month ago, they would have already gathered around Alex but now, they looked at him with wary eyes.

It took quite some time before Becky and Ken arrived at the cafeteria. The two were equally confused when they found the tables and chairs surrounding Alex were completely empty and the rest of the students were looking at him like he was a plague

But Alex was simply playing with his phone, seemingly not noticing the things going on around him.

"What's up with this new development? Did you get a red ink?" Becky said jokingly as she settled down on the chair that was on Alex's left while Ken just sat on the other side quietly.

None of them ordered anything,yet,they were curious as to why Alex looked like an outcast,they wanted to fill their curiosity first before anything else.

Alex raised his head from his phone and looked at Becky with one brow raised "what are you talking about,I don't understand" Alex said, still staring at Becky's face.

Becky thought Alex was trying to play dumb but she wasn't angry about it, since he's playing dumb,she felt even more bold to ask further.

"I mean this" she said while giggling, sweeping her gaze across the students and empty space.

Alex sighed and said plainly"don't know, don't care"

Becky kept staring at Alex, she was expecting him to say more, but the dude just turned his attention back on his phone.

Becky now realized that Alex was being serious and not playing dumb, she became even more confused and also more interested in finding out the reason behind all this but she stopped herself, she knew she wasn't going to get anything from Alex since he already said he knew nothing about it.

"Seriously, and you are not bothered about it?" Ken couldn't hold it anymore and hissed at him, after all, it wasn't really normal for someone to be so carefree about such a thing, especially when the person is the center of the situation.

Alex looked at him and maintained his gaze for some seconds before shrugging "what do you suppose I do then? It's their choice, I don't need their company anyways, so it's better they stay away"

Becky rolled her eyes and thought to herself 'you are so unbelievable ',she concluded Alex could no longer be saved from his 'i don't care' personality.

Ken also gave up on digging about the issue, Becky left their table and sent to the counter to get themselves something but to her shock,the students who were lined up started to make way for her to go forward,they were avoiding her also.

Becky didn't know whether to laugh or cry,she looked over to the culprit who was still busy with his phone. She was obviously  blaming Alex for this, everything was happening because of him,yet the demon did not care in the slightest.

She shook her head and a smile creeped onto her face. Well, since they made her a special guest,she just kept moving forward to the counter to get what she came for.

Alex gazed at the girl's back as she walked,he had of course felt her gaze but there really was nothing he could do about it,or rather,he didn't really want to do anything about it.

Just before he returned to his phone,he caught a glimpse of a figure flash past the entrance of the cafeteria.

The figure was so fast that even Alex wasn't able to see it clearly.Alex stood up and walked briskly outside the cafeteria,Ken didn't stop him but didn't stop staring at Alex's back,Becky wasn't back yet,she was still getting their meal.

Alex didn't bother with Ken's glare and kept waking with hastened steps, following the part which the figure went.

After making sure he was out of sight and no students were ahead,Alex immediately activated his speed system and dashed forward, chasing after the figure as the both of them left countless afterimages all over the place.

What even aroused Alex's interest in the figure was that even with the help of his speed system,he was still unable to shorten the distance between himself and the figure, their speed seemed to be evenly matched.
