“I had been so nervous about this date since yesterday. I went to a clinic earlier today to get myself tested for HIV and some other STDs.”
David glared at Tobias in disappointment, but the man didn’t seem to catch on how annoyed he felt at the moment.
“There weren’t many clinics open on Sunday, but I managed to find one. I figured I should get myself tested. Just in case,” Tobias continued.
“I see.”
“I’m clean as a whistle.”
David’s heart sank further. He thought he and Tobias were finally on the same page. Not that he didn’t want to have sex, but he thought it would occur a few dates later. He expected them to develop a relationship first. Tobias obviously wanted something else at the end of this date.
“Okay.” David didn’t know what else to say after that, so he simply kept his mouth shut. Hence, he was taken aback when Tobias grabbed his arm.
“Dave, what’s going on? Did I do something wrong? You look…a little angry or something.”
“Nothing. It’s fine.”
