Before I died for the first time, my goal was to climb to head of department, then life would be comfortable and simple. Or at least I thought that would be my plan. Until they pushed me in front of a train.

I was reborn as a girl in the middle of a war, all my actions were done for my survival and yet I died again.

And now I find myself safely doing paperwork in a reincarnation office working for the person who murdered me, who in turn works for a sadistic god.

Not that I have a choice anyway, my soul now belongs to Gil.

During the last few days we have had an incredible increase in paperwork, I can see Gil reincarnating a large number of souls in different worlds without even looking at them. While he looks for interesting souls to keep elsewhere.

And I believe that we are not the only office that is working at full capacity.

"Astronomers theorize that Comet Melancholia will pass close to Earth in approximately 10 days, at a safe distance, we have several experts on the subject to discuss..." I watch as Gil turns off the television that Alan turned on recently, to which I get up an eyebrow.

"Don't get distracted, there's a lot of work" is all Gil says.

Gil hands Alan a letter to send to the 15th floor and I watch as Alan leaves the office, at which point the mood in the room changes completely. As Gil approaches me.

"Things have changed." Says Gil when he is in front of me, I can't move at all, what is going on? The last thing I see is a sad smile from Gil before everything around me goes dark.

POV Alan

It's too much work, Gil has us inundated with work, since when was there so much paperwork? I hit my head with the table I'm on.

"Alan, don't get distracted, you have a lot of work." Gil tells me while he continues typing on his computer at an impressive speed.

Come to think of it, Gil has been working non-stop for days.

"Gil I think you should rest, you're working too hard and that's weird for you." I tell Gil who just gives me a confident smile.

"Don't worry Alan, it's just a little extra work, however you can help me with one thing" At this my eyes light up.

"Anything to avoid doing paperwork. What do I have to do?" I tell Gil as he just hands me a letter.

"Deliver this letter only to Decim on the 15th floor."

The atmosphere seems quite tense outside Gil's office. To tell the truth, I hadn't been out of the office in days, since we normally commute to my apartment and back.

There are fewer people than before and they are less boisterous, I walk in complete silence to the elevator at the end of the hall and wait.

Several minutes passed and the elevator arrived, compared to the previous time the boy who controlled it is not there, I entered the elevator and marked the 15th floor.

Arriving at the 15th floor I meet some familiar faces and others not, they seem to be celebrating something. I better deliver the letter quickly and go.

"Who is this? I thought we closed operations 2 days ago." Said a red-haired guy while drinking some kind of liquor.

"Oh, it's little Gil's assistant, don't be rude Ginti." Says Klavis the elevator operator.

"Hello, um… my boss asked me to deliver this letter to Decim on the 15th floor, I hope I'm not interrupting" I say nervously as I walk closer.

"Is that you Alan? It's been a while since you visited the bar, how have you been?" Chiyuki asks me with a sad smile on her face.

"A bit busy to tell the truth" I reply while scratching my head "But I'm getting used to all this now" I reply to Chiyuki while handing the letter to Decim

"Thank you for giving me this letter" Says Decim while bowing slightly. I watch as he opens the letter and then he surveys me with interest. This is rare. Why is everyone weird here?

"I heard that Gil will be running the auction" A voice interrupts, an old man approaches me. "You don't know me, but I know you, I am the Oculus god responsible for these floors and the reincarnation process directed towards this world" At the mention of 'god' my body tenses, I don't have good experience dealing with gods.

"Nice to meet you sir" I answer nervously as I want to get out of here as soon as possible.

"I'm sure we'll see each other at the auction young man." He says with a small laugh. Like hell I'm going to that auction, surrounded by gods. An involuntary shiver runs through my body.

"By Melancholia!" Says a drunk Ginti, when other of his companions join the strange toast, I for my part slipped away as quickly as possible from that strange group.

When I'm in the elevator I feel like it stops halfway, a shiver runs through my whole body and I quickly turn behind me.

"Hello Alan, Gil speaks very highly of you." Says an old man with a long beard. Accompanied by a person completely in white.

"Hello, Gil's puppy, give me your paw." Hitogami says mockingly.

"My name is Being X and you are invited to the auction." He says with a dark smile.

POV Gil

Days later in an underground location in Vatican City

I take a deep breath, it's showtime. The lights come on and I stand behind the podium.

"Welcome all gods to this auction, we have fabulous souls which are ready to harvest, they are the best the earth has to offer!" I have the attention of all the gods in the room, they are all excited about this auction, they don't happen that often.

"Before we start I will repeat the key points of the auction in case you have forgotten" I say holding up my fingers for emphasis.

"Number 1, this is neutral territory so his abilities won't work to their full capacity within this domain. Therefore I have rights over all of you, granted by the board of directors. Who observe us from the astral plane.

"Number 2, if you have a dispute with a god, you must fight in their respective worlds."

"Number 3, The currency that will be used for this auction will be the CoinGod, you can go to the reception and exchange worlds, old souls, years of life, among other things for CoinGod, the amount of CoinGod that you will receive will depend on what you offer.

"If you're going to fight, fight for souls, behave yourself" Says Being X combing his long beard.

"So as Being X was telling you. These two children tried to revive their dead mother with alchemy, however they were not aware of the equivalent exchange fufufu" Truth says while Being X also laughs.

"I am very hungry, I want to devour some souls, they have a special taste." Says an obese woman at the back of the room. She was Big Madam

"That is disgusting." Says a random god

Different gods kept talking, exchanging CoinGod or threatening each other until the 30 minutes were up, then the show finally started.

"Gods thank you for your patience. Your host and auctioneer will be me. Gil from the reincarnation office. Please enjoy this evening as much as possible." I say as the curtain behind me falls away, revealing all the souls up for auction today. Protected by large dolls made of wood, the favorites of Being X.

"Now... we'll start with the auction."

Many people are in a state of daze and fear at what they see in front of them.

"Start the auction" says Gil hitting a small bell that appears on his podium.

"Subaru Natsuki kidnapped leaving a convenience store, he's one of those who don't leave his room" Gil says Snapping his fingers when a stunned Subaru appears in front of everyone.

"Haaaaaaa!" Subaru yells as he tries to run away, but an invisible force stops him. "What is this?"

"We started with 1000 CG (CoinGod)." Gil says when his hands start to go up.

"1,200" Shouts Cheerfully Tet

"1,500" Hitogami

"2,500" Says another random god

The bids continued to increase.

"Somebody get me out of here, help!" Subaru yells as he watches fearfully as he is auctioned off.

"4,000" shouts the obese woman

"I adore your desperation, I offer 6,000" Says Being X with a sadistic smile.

No one else placed more bids after that offer.

"Subaru Natsuki your soul was sold to Being X" Gil says ringing a bell.

"How sold? I have not signed anything, I do not want, I do not want, I want to go back."

"There is nowhere to return, accept the will of the gods." Gil says pointing to the other people who were brought by force.

"Being X, do you want to reincarnate this person in a world of your choice or do you want to keep his soul?" Gil says as the crowd of gods just wait.

"Kukuku let's make things interesting, use the spinner for a wish, I already know where I'm going to send it."

Gil nods and snaps his fingers, thus bringing up a huge roulette wheel with an abysmal amount of wishes.

"Subaru Natsuki Spin the spinner," I say as I watch Subaru stumble towards the spinner.

"There is a thousandth chance that you will get the jackpot which is the power to reverse death every time you die, but you only have 0.01% of getting it." I tell him smiling.

Subaru spins the wheel without understanding what I meant, all the gods are waiting for the wish he will receive, until the wheel stopped. Impacting everyone.

"Your luck is unbelievable." Gil says with a dark smile as he looks at where the spinner stopped.

**Can turn into a stone if threatened**

"Wait? What does that mean…" At that moment Subaru disappears and finds himself replaced by a stone, thus causing a great laugh in the crowd of gods.

"A stone, a simple stone HAHAHA"

"I guess you can live like a happy stone"

"For a moment I thought he would win the jackpot, Gil commented on it very conveniently hahaha"

The stone disappears soon after and is reincarnated in the world of Being X choice.

It is observed as Ser X only nods his head. Without taking his eyes off me to which I also stare at him. The tension in the room increases until I decide to continue with the auction.

"Let's continue with the auction." Says Gil waving his hands, in this way numerous auctions were held, some gods decided to send the souls they bought to private worlds while others simply collected them or had other purposes for those unfortunate souls. These souls would be delivered at the end of the auction.

"Kazuma Satō" I say snapping my fingers and a Kazuma with his chin up arrogantly appears.

"I saved a girl from dying" Kazuma says puffing out his chest proudly "Which of you gods needs a hero to save their world? "

"In fact you died of a fright thinking that you had been run over by a truck and it was just a slow tractor that passed by waving to the young woman who did not need help either, and you just pushed her violently." I say while behind me a screen appears with what really happened.

"Your death was so pathetic that even the doctors who checked you out made fun of you, even your family did too." I say shaking my head.

This brings a wave of ridicule from the gods, but also interest from some of them.

"Interesting"

"We started with 2,000 CG" Says Gil starting the auction

Numerous gods began to raise their hands for this soul, leaving only two gods currently competing.

"I offer 22,000" Hitogami says as the room falls silent

"I wish I had enough GC, I only have 500" Aqua says dejectedly, unable to do anything.

"I offer 50,000" Big Madam stands up while licking her mouth.

"Sold to Big Madam," I say with a smirk, poor soul. "Big Madam can withdraw the soul at the end of the auction." I say snapping my fingers and a blank-faced Kazuma disappears.

"Delicious, I can't wait until the auction is over to claim my delicious soul" says Big Madam to the chagrin of some gods.

"You are a monster." Aqua says crossing her arms and puffing out her cheeks.

"Silly girl, all gods are monsters." Says mocking Big Madam.

"Silence" Gil says making them both silent. "We will continue with the auctions"

"Urano Motosu is a young woman who loves books and was going to start working as a librarian at a university. During an accident, she is crushed to death by collapsing library shelves" Gil says as a girl appears with her head down, as she shivers a bit.

"How adorable, I love her"

"She died for a bookshelf? How wonderfully poetic.

"We started the auction at 2,000 CG" says Gil, as in the previous cases, different gods began to raise their hands offering their CG for her."

"Sold for 7,000 CG"

"Don't worry girl, I have the perfect world for you, don't disappoint me and you can create your own library" Says one of the gods whose name I don't remember.

At this the girl's eyes light up and she whispers "Thank you…" before disappearing and being sent to that world.

"Touya Mochizuki was killed by lightning" I say snapping my fingers when a confused Touya appears.

"A ray? Now that's bad luck," Touya snorts as he scratches his head.

"We'll start the auction in…" I'm interrupted by Oculus who already has a bid ready.

"20,000 CG, you see, young man, I may be the cause of your death, so I will give you a wish and send you to a pleasant world, now make the wish you want so that Gil grants it to you.

"I want my Smartphone" Touya says quickly, with the raised eyebrows of many gods, he is sent to the world chosen by Oculus with his Smartphone.

"Now one of the last souls to be auctioned off to welcome the main course," Gil says with a chuckle.

"With you none other than Naofumi Iwatani the hero of the library" Gil snaps his fingers and a very upset Naofumi appears.

"Damn perverts all of you, you can't play with people's lives like this!" Naofumi yells to which many gods just boo him.

"We start the auction at 10000 CG"

"Damn I won't let them take me, they won't use me for their entertainment" Naofumi yells

"He has guts, I admit that. I offer 11,000" Says Truth

"15,000" Hitomagi strikes back

"18,000" Says another random god

"30,000" Says Truth "I have some plans for this library hero in my world"

The bell rings closing the auction and Naofumi Iwatani disappears screaming how he will end all the gods.

A smile spreads across Gil's face as they reach the end of the auction.

"Now Gods we welcome what everyone was waiting for" says Gil Opening his hands.

"8 billion generic souls on planet earth and as a representative of those 8 billion souls is the" Gil says when a person appears in the middle of the stage.

"Gil is that you?" Alan says scared and confused looking around and then with a look in my direction, I just looked away, sorry Alan.

POV Alan

Where I am? The last thing I remember was that I was in the elevator and some gods invited me to an auction with evil smiles. Wait a minute? I'm at the auction that Gil was organizing... but I'm being auctioned off...

"Gil is that you?" I tell the presenter who just ignores me and keeps talking about me, this can't be. Is Gil going to sell me? I feel tears escaping from my eyes. I thought he considered me a friend.

"Alan Fortes 21 years representing the 8 billion humans that are on this planet" Gil says when a globe appears in his hands. "The comet Melancholia will change its course in a few days and will impact the earth causing an extinction event, for which 8 billion souls will find themselves without an owner and that is why this auction will include all the souls from that world. "

I hear Gil talking about the end of my world as if it were nothing, my home… and now I will be sold along with the other people on earth to some god. I'm hearing the gods scream for me. I try to be strong with my hands clenched into fists but fail miserably when they start to shake. How I hate the gods.

"1,500,000" With that last offer the room falls silent as everyone searches for the voice that made that offer. She was none other than an obese woman with a sadistic smile as she licked her lips.

"Delicious, this is better, 8 billion souls to feed me for centuries, I'll start with that young man" The obese woman says as she looks at me, I can only swallow a lump in my throat as I glance quickly at Gil.

"8 Billion souls and Alan Fortes are sold to Big Madam" Gil says monotonously. Just as he is about to ring the bell and sentence me to a fate worse than death, something happens that makes my blood run cold. Gil winks at me as he is impaled by a chainsaw through the chest and an explosion occurs.

"We are the League of Villains and we have come to kill the symbol of peace." He coughs a little "Sorry, we are the League of Villains and we have come to kill Gil and purge all the corrupt gods."
