Chapter 28 - Mother Make'em

The large Zombie lumbers towards the group each of its four arms reaches for a different member of the squad to try to crush.

Shiva leaps up and off the table full of 'Refreshments' and jumps high over the lunging arm, that for some reason went all the way out a good 25ft from that huge torso. As she leaps over it she shoots at it with her heavy machine gun. The bullets hit its hide and either lodge into the bone plates protecting it, or simply sink half way into the thicker and more durable skin. Shiva lands after her leap and shouts, "It's got some thick skin! I'm estimating something between armadillo and elephant hide!" Then she leaps away as the long extended arm bends unnaturally and slams down where she landed. She shoots more bullets out to deal more damage and avoid its grasp.

Betty bats the offending hand lunging at her away, with her damaged siege shield, and unleashes some heavy duty armor piercing minigun fire into the arm. It twitches and flinches as at least 200 rounds tear into it. But aside from some cracks in the bone armor and some new holes all over its arm, it reorients and goes after her again. Betty clicks her tongue and shouts back, "Confirmed! I managed to pierce the skin but it is barely slowing down at all! If anything else it is barely hurting! Gotta focus fire on its core areas! Spray and pray isn't doing shit!" Betty yelps as she leaps back from a hammer fist aimed at her head coming from the hand chasing her down.

Tomoe and Mboto were fighting hard, doing hit and run tactics against the slower moving limb as they had good sprint stamina. Though the creature seemed tireless. It had been 10 minutes since the fight began and they were all battling hard to learn a weak point. They had shot the joints, the torso, the head lump, the chest in multiple locations. It just shuddered from a harder hit and then came back at them harder. The wound closing up a minute later. Tomoe yells out while Mboto shoots it with a shotgun blast, "No kidding! It also has a healing factor! If you notice anything that lands harder! Hit it!" She dodges and cuts it up more with a machete she grabbed from the SWAT van they rode here in. Mboto was battling hard with a heavy duty Soldier machete that Garrett had found in a survival store. But even with such good blades slashing at the thick and durable skin and bones, they were leaving gashes and small cracks that lasted a solid 20 seconds before they healed up or repaired themselves.

Marina and Hicks were focusing fire on the arm chasing them, and while it was higher in stats, its large size gave up a bunch of speed which allowed them to just barely keep out of its range. Their assault rifle and sniper rifle combo doing their best to deal any lasting damage to this unique undead. As Marina unleashed another full clip into random spots along the arm using three burst shots. Hicks scans the arm for a weakness and notices on the palm of the hand, a green glowing eye, similar to bulker chest eyes, open up to glare at Marina and begin to chase her down. Hicks lines up his shot and watches as the eye closes to do an attack which Marina barely rolls out of the way of, only to open up to track her location down again. Hicks breathes out and shoots. The bullet hits home, making the torso roar out painfully as its whole forms twitches and stops from pain.

The others all stop to notice and Hicks yells out, "Eyes in the palms! Hit them and it deals some great damage!" He shoots the eye as it snaps open in pain with it looking bloodshot. It roars out as a bunch of green glowing eye jelly and blood pours out of it. The arm slowing down and slowly going limp.

Everyone else adjusts their aim as the creature roars in anger and goes for them all once again.

Garrett was fighting hard against this crazy zombie, making, lunatic! She was no slouch with that Meat cleaver axe that was so large he was wondering if she was even getting tired. It looked like someone took a meat cleaver and multiplied its size up by at least 5 times. it was as large as his whole torso! One cut would chop most people in half with one hit!

He ducked down as she swung it over his head and he counter swung his sword at her head hoping to behead her. But she managed to rotate her arm at the shoulder joint and swing it up and around to block his swing. It had enough force to stall his swing and actually lock their blades. She then brought up her heel and stabbed down towards his toes.

Garrett noticed a shine on the heal and pulled his foot back right as cracks spider web out from the impact point. With a quick glance down as he backs off to gain distance he notices her heels are reinforced tempered steel stilettos ground to a fine point. Garrett dead pans to her and goes, "Taking the femme fatale demographic to literally fatal levels aren't we?"

The lady giggles and says, "Well I make 'em that good after all. Hence my name as Mother Make'em! I make 'em better than before! The top surgeon of the black ops military! Heheheheheh!Too bad I was kicked out after trying a green pill I wasn't supposed to take! But it was so green! And glowy~! And now I can see the bonds of people's bodies clearly~! And can remake them better than before! Like my darling Lumber there!"

She turns for a moment to see her creation suffering as the soldiers all hit its hand eye weak points at the same time making it roar out in anguish. She goes from her bright cheery smile to a large frown of disappointment. She even blocks the next 10 slashes from Garrett without turning. He grunts as he pulls up his pistol to shoot her point blank.

But as he fires she cartwheels back while trying to get him with her bladed heels. He barely blocks with the pistol and the hilt guard of the sword. Garrett goes back a step from the force of her attacks. She rights herself and sighs, "Another failure!" Her cutesy crazy voice is gone and now is replaced with a disappointed scientist who is over a failed experiment. "Was going with a mixture of Bulkers and Bonies the wrong path? Maybe a few more Speedster corpses and muscle groups would have made it even more efficient. he is no longer my darling. He is now a failure."

Garrett turns pale as she turns her disappointed and dead emotionless eyes on him and giggles a bit, "Oh well! Time for the finishing touch!"

She pulls out a switch that she hits.

As she does so the zombie creation named Lumber that was on its knees in pain from the bullets hitting all its eyes suddenly stiffens up. Everyone was wailing on its torso with its arms out of commission. They gasp as it suddenly sprouts 4 arms from its back that tear off the useless muscular arms. And instead it looks like something from Dead Space with 4 arm blades now.It rushes them all and starts trying to carve the group up. In return though the bladed arms seem to have absorbed all the defensive plates from the main body. They were shredding the body but the arms just didn't quit.

Garrett growls and rushes after Mother Make'em again and furiously slashes at her while taking pot shots with his pistol. She manages to bend and weave through most of the shots and giggle at him. However Garrett grins at this as he throws his pistol up while locking the trigger down. She gasps at this move and tracks the gun in confusion. Only to suddenly have her chest carved into by Garretts sword.

She grunts in pain as the sword breaks half her rip cage and carves up her stomach. Or so Garrett expected to happen. But her stamina was tougher than he thought. he only cracked her ribs and dealt some shallow damage to her internals. She grunts and hefts her axe ready to swing it. Only for Garrett to catch his pistol as it falls back into his hand, now fully charged.

Mother gasps as the charged shot shoots into her now open wound. Hitting her stomach and cooking it. She screams in immense pain.

This scream catches the attention of her creation and Lumber looks over towards his mother in concern. Only this gives the squad the chance they needed to finish it. They throw their grenades and unleash their remaining ammo into the beast. Blowing it to kingdom come with a loud roar from it making them breath in relief when they see it literally in pieces on the floor.

its only surviving part was an eye still attached to a surviving arm blade. It grew legs and began to crawl away. Only for Shiva to have Garretts hammer that she borrowed from his pack and smashes the eye and bone blade to pieces.

Shiva yells out, "Take about getting some shut eye!"

Groans all around while Hicks yells out, "I get it!"

Mother clicks her tongue in annoyance at her wound and at her creations failure. She begins to mutter to herself about the next creation as she tries to crawl away. Garrett stops her with a stab through her body with his sword. Pinning her to the ground and keeping her from crawling away further.

She grunts at this and looks up at his recharged pistol shot as he asks, "Any last words?"

She giggles manically again and says, "Yeah... you need to get stronger to fight my main body! I'm a mere android with mother controlling me! Have fun blowing up!"

She rips her chest open to reveal she has false organs and a bomb that is ticking down from 20 seconds remaining.

Garrett yells out, "Bomb! Fall back!"

He leaves his sword stuck in her body making sure she can't run after them all and grabs Tomoe and dashes for the stairs. Shiva grabs Mboto and Betty picks up a squawking Marina and Hicks who are a little whip lashed at the grab.

They barely make it to the stairs and deploy Betty's shield right as the counter hits zero. A large explosion erupts and cooks all the bodies in the boss room. They all wait for the dust and heat to clear to check and see the remains of Mothers false body and Lumbers burnt remains. They all sigh and get to work to check the room for usable supplies. But with a weight to their shoulders.

They have a new player to worry about besides the General and his council.

Upgrades to base:

Training room lvl 2: For every two hours spent training inside you gain +2 str and Sta to a maximum of 4 points in each stat daily. Maximum stat affected is up to 100. Once user has exceeded 100 then the stat will no longer grow in that room. For next Max stat please purchase to level 3. Cost for upgrade: 200k
