I will be the strongest Zoldyck

This is the story of an unhappy man whose life was nothing but misfortune and tragedies, yet who was lucky enough, after his death, to be reincarnated with a wish and a special ability. This is a fanfiction set primarily in the Hunter X Hunter universe (and potentially incorporating other fictional works later on). I do not own any rights to the borrowed worlds, except for my original character. I want to make clear that the protagonist is not depicted as an all-powerful genius. He will make mistakes and have doubts, like any human being. His evolution will be gradual and credible. The plot will contain some elements from the Chainsaw Man manga, but this fanfiction remains above all anchored in the world of Hunter X Hunter.

===============================

Once the last detail of the contract with the Future demon was successfully settled, Hiro left the forest, satisfied.

"I underestimated the greed of the demons from the Chainsaw Man universe," thought Hiro.

The Future devil had agreed to allow Hiro to see the future, but for now he would only be able to see 3 second in the future.

But he had asked Hiro for one last really sly condition: he wanted Hiro to be able to mention his name or something related to him after using his power, or before using it.

"I can't believe he wants me to advertise for him in my universe," Hiro could only grumble mentally. But being able to see the future was worth it.

"Good morning, young master Hiro," said Canary.

Hiro simply nodded back in greeting. It wasn't that Hiro wasn't interested in her, but the Zoldyck residence was too closely monitored and he didn't want to cause her trouble like Killua did in the manga.

After a few long minutes of running, Hiro finally arrived home. Upon his arrival, he went straight to his mother to further improve his relationship with her and get her help calming down his grandfather.

"My darling, I haven't seen you all morning. Did you have your usual training with your father or grandfather?" Kikyo asked directly after seeing Hiro enter her room.

Hiro was about to try to explain himself, but his mother reacted faster than his mouth. She raised her hand at lightning speed, with the pure intention to kill.

Even though Hiro knew from memory that this was a false murderous intent, his instinct trained since birth reacted in the most effective way possible. So Hiro automatically activated the Future demon's ability, allowing him to see 3 seconds into the future.

Hiro saw a vision of himself getting slapped by his mother and going through the door behind him. "Future demon," he let out in a whisper after dodging his mother's attack.

But how could a mere whisper escape the monstrous senses of a Zoldyck?

"I'm so proud of you my little Hiro," his mother said, crying false tears of joy.

"I'm happy mother is happy," said Hiro with a little smile, even if it was fake.

"Tell me my little Hiro, why didn't you go to your morning training? Your grandfather was extremely disappointed to find out about your absence," this time his mother spoke calmly to him, as if her false tears had been an illusion.

"I wanted to rest for once," Hiro replied, aware that Silva monitored the entire estate so he really couldn't hide all his movements.

That was also why he had never had very long discussions with servants like Canary or Amane, despite their enormous future potential which could be useful to him.

He had just been nice to them and kept an eye on them to prevent Illumi or Milluki from harming them.

"Indeed, Hiro's grandfather usually gives him more training than Killua for some unknown reason," thought Kikyo.

"Okay, I understand, and I'll explain the situation to your grandfather to avoid you being punished. But I guess you're not here just for my help with him, right?" she asked.

"Do I really need a reason to be with my mother?" said Hiro, jumping into her arms to hug her and act spoiled with her as usual.

Hiro did all this while keeping his usual fake smile.

==========================

In a dimly lit room, one could see a man with long silver-blond hair and deep blue cat-like eyes.

He seemed to be meditating or thinking about something, but unfortunately for him, his meditation or reflection session was interrupted by a noise at the door.

"You may enter," he said calmly, staring at the door with piercing blue eyes.

A woman entered the dimly lit room and stopped right in front of the man.

"If you're here, there must be something to report?" Silva Zoldyck asked his dear wife.

Kikyo Zoldyck nodded before speaking, "Yes, I think our son Hiro has awakened some strange power, in my opinion similar to Nanika's." While handing Silva a USB key.

"Let me take a closer look," said Silva.

After a few minutes, Silva and his wife watched a video together, showing Hiro dodging Kikyo's hand.

"Right at that moment," said Silva, rewinding the video to when Hiro mentioned the Future demon.

"Interesting," declared Silva, stroking his beardless chin.

"Did you notice it, dear?" Kikyo asked.

"Yes, he seems to have anticipated your attack and there are those words he mumbled, 'Future demon'," explained Silva, lost in thought.

"What should we do with him, Silva?" asked Zeno Zoldyck, appearing out of nowhere.

But despite his strange appearance, no one in the room seemed surprised by his arrival.

"I know you had suspicions about Hiro, father. Tell me, were you aware of this strange ability?" said Silva, turning to Zeno.

"Of course not, but I had noticed he was much more talented than Killua and that he holds himself back, undoubtedly to avoid hurting his brother's pride," explained Zeno, to Silva and Kikyo's surprise.

"Why didn't you inform me of such important information?" asked Silva in a slightly cold tone, emanating an icy aura around him.

Zeno stared at Silva calmly, unaffected by the heavy atmosphere in the room.

"There are several reasons why I decided to keep that information to myself," Zeno began to explain calmly as he approached Silva, undisturbed by his irritated mood.

"The first reason is simple: unlike Killua, my little Hiro isn't searching for himself because he seems to have a clear idea of his future."

"Secondly, even though he holds back in public, he trains in strange but promising things in secret."

"And finally, ever since he was little, Hiro hasn't really trusted us, as strange as that may sound to your ears. He only has a slight trust in Killua and Alluka," Zeno finished, looking Silva straight in the eye.

"So, if I understand correctly, you were aware of his enormous talent but not this ability we just witnessed?" Zeno summarized.

After these words, the whole room fell into a long silence, as if everyone was mentally processing the new information they had just received.

"Silva, I advise you not to interfere too much with Hiro, since he clearly means no harm to the Zoldyck family. I'd even say he's already bonded to it through Killua and Alluka," declared Zeno before disappearing from the room as mysteriously as he had come.

"What do you think, dear? Is your father right?" asked Kikyo doubtfully.

"The old fox just wants to keep Hiro to himself. I wonder why he prefers to train Hiro rather than Killua, even if it slows him down for some jobs," thought Silva.

"Nevermind, Kikyo. Just focus on dealing with Killua as usual. I'll take care of Illumi's education," said Silva, signaling Kikyo to leave.

Alone in the dark with his loyal dog, Silva could only sigh at the new discovery he had just made.

"I don't know if the Zoldyck family is cursed or blessed with this new generation," he thought again, alone.

======================

After parting from his mother Kikyo, Hiro headed to his third favorite brother.

"Hey Milluki, what's up?" said Hiro, breezing into his quarters nonchalantly.

"Stop coming in here like it's your room and close that door! I might lose my online game," Milluki yelled.

Milluki was one of Hiro's brothers and he was undoubtedly the easiest to handle in this family of assassins.

"So tell me, why are you here?" he said, eating chips without taking his eyes off the screens.

"I want to create a game, but I'll need your computer skills," Hiro began.

"What, you want to create a game?"

Milluki stopped all his activities and turned to Hiro, looking at him with squinted little eyes.

"Yes, and I also want my own bank account unlinked from our family," Hiro continued very seriously.

"Hiro, I know we have common interests and get along well, but do you understand the gravity of what you're asking me?" said Milluki.

Hiro suspected that owning or requesting a personal bank account would be frowned upon, since all family members worked for the prosperity of the clan.

And the fact that Hiro wanted to create a video game would also be poorly received, since the whole family specialized in only one business: assassination.

"I risk disappointing Grandpa Zeno if he thinks I might become a second Milluki. But I need this money. And of course, a certain personal fame, far from the world of crime," thought Hiro, keeping his eyes fixed on his brother.

"Okay, I see you're determined and Father doesn't monitor you as much as Killua. But I'll only help you if your game idea is really as interesting as it's worth me taking that much risk," declared Milluki.

After these words, Hiro explained to him in great detail the God of War game and Kratos' story. And as Hiro hoped, Milluki agreed to help him create this game, under certain conditions.

"I want 60% of the profits and I want the game to officially be mine. In exchange, I'll owe you a favor and help you with your bank account," Milluki demanded.

Those were the terms Milluki and Hiro agreed on. And unfortunately, Hiro would come to regret accepting only 40% and leaving 60% to Milluki.
