I, Who Will Shine More Than Anyone

I transmigrate into my favorite novel, where I need to die for my uncle's greed. Why I will sacrifice myself? No one deserve my sacrifice. So I thought, I won't die for this kind of trashy family. I will shine more than anyone in this world. Then no one will be able to kill me for their greed.

The city of Dawnspring

Theodore and I went to the teleportation house straight. Theodore knew that place, while he was staying in this city. No noble people want to come here. Some businessman comes here to get some things that only people can get here. Specially, the unique herb in the forest. They won't get anywhere.

When we came in front of the tall three-story house, I was surprised. This city also has buildings like this. As we stepped into the teleportation house, I noticed that it was not a usual living house. This building is different from other living buildings. I think it was made for teleportation, so it will be different than others.

After coming into this world, this was the first place where I saw a place with people coming and going, even though it is a remote place.

The people's clothes were better than us. Because our clothes were old worn torn dusty as if we were beggars. Before I came out of the inn, I changed my dress to my old dress that was for twelve years old girl. I became taller than my twelve-year-old self, so when I wore that dress it became a little dress that a man would wear. Now I think I made a bad choice for changing my good dress. I felt a little uneasy. I looked at Theodore, he also looked uncomfortable.

Even though I felt uneasy, my choice was right at that time. If I wore a new dress and Theodore wore a very bad dress that even beggars don't wear, then he would feel bad. So I changed my dress, so he wouldn't feel that he was not good. I think he hadn't come to this place before. Some people looked at our way while walking and my thoughts broke while hearing a person's words.

Hearing him, I looked at him. He was walking towards us and his steps were not quick or slow. His gaze was sharp and I was tensed, not knowing what he wanted.

"Where are you going?"

His voice was also sharp but with curiosity. When he came close to us, I saw him. The person was somewhat tall, with a grin on his face as if he wanted to be amused.

"My brother and I want to go to the Luminous Academy."

I told him but hesitated a little.

I was cautious. If he is a bad person then we will get the problem. I don't know if he understands me seeing me hesitated but he smiled.

He looked at us with his flickering eyes, as if he were inquiring silently. I know what he is thinking even without telling him to us straight in our face. We are looking like a bigger, how can we afford to go to the Luminous academy.

The man didn't pry anymore but said disdainfully, "Our teleportation house doesn't have so much magic that will take you to Luminous City or the academy. So you have to go to another city. From there you can go where you want. Will you go there?"

I frowned a little. My plan was destroyed by his information. He looked at me and chuckled. I don't know where his chuckle came from.

"This is the city of commoners. Here resources are not much. So teleportation here is limited to short distances for some nearby cities. It is enough to go there quickly. But our teleportation won't work in too far cities like Luminous Academy or any other cities. So will you go to the nearby cities and go to the Academy from there."

He explained.

"Then which city is close to the Luminous Academy? We will go there."

I said straight while looking at him.

The man was surprised a little hearing me but then said, "The city of Dawnspring. You are lucky. If you came a little later then you wouldn't be able to go there. The magic on that city's teleportation circle will end today. We have to install it later. So let's go. I will take you there."

Saying this, he walked forward. I held Theodore's hand and followed him.

The man stopped in front of a room and opened the door. Then he turned his head and looked at us.

"Go with me."

He said and entered the room. We followed him.

When I entered the room, I felt an eerie feeling but the feeling was not that bad. The room was filled with intricate runes. I can feel the magic that is radiating from the room. When I felt the magic a hum vibrated through the air and sent a cold chill over to my spin. So this is the magic. Even though I read the books about powers, when you feel the powers straight then you can know what the power is.

The teleportation circle was centered in the room. The circle was an emblem etched into the ground surrounded by floating orbs with three different colors. Each color represents each city. So this teleportation will take you to three cities.

Then which color will go to the City of Dawnspring?

"Give me one gold coin."

I looked at him when he asked for a gold coin.

"When you pay me I will start the teleportation. If you can't pay then you won't be able to go there."

He said.

I gave him a gold coin. He returned fifty silver coins. If you will return fifty silver coins to me, then why did you ask for a gold coin? I looked at him while thinking about this. He just smiled softly but didn't say anything. I think he understood what my look was.

"Go to the middle point of the teleportation circle. If it is your first time then you feel a little dizzy. So be prepared when you reach the new city. Also, I gave you both discounts. So I returned the silver coins. Eventually, two people's teleportation pay was one gold coin."

Then he starts the teleportation. It was moved a little. After a while, we came to another teleportation room that was unknown to us. The room was also filled with intricate runes but it has much more unique intricate runes than the city of commoners teleportation room. I think the city of Dawnspring is much richer than the previous city.

I don't know how I and Theodore came out of the teleportation house but when I became aware, we were outside of a tall building that has five floors. Someone took us here from the teleportation room. After he took us here, he went inside without telling us anything.

I didn't see his face well because I felt dizzy after coming out of the teleportation room. I think the man who started the teleportation circle in the previous city told me about this dizziness. But suddenly Theodore vomited when we came aside from the buildings. His body was weak and the dizziness of the teleportation he couldn't endure. So he vomited. After seeing his vomiting, I also felt uncomfortable.

I think we need some rest. So I asked a passerby about an inn. He showed me an inn that was closed. If we walk for three minutes then we will arrive at the inn.

Both of us were a little sick, so we took five minutes to arrive in front of the inn. We entered and rented a room for a day with five silver coins.

The waiter showed us the room and told us they would give us food later. I told him that he can keep the food on the table.

After talking to the waiter, the waiter nodded and went out of the room. I took Theodore to the bed and I also fell asleep after laying down to the bed. When I woke up it was evening. I looked around the room. The room was better than I thought. Some food was on the table. I went to the bathroom and saw there was a wooden bathtub full of water. I think the water was too much for me. So I didn't use all the water. I kept some water for Theodore.

Even though I struggled to stay sane with the dizziness, Theodore's situation was bad at that time. His face was pale and sweat formed on his brows. Tears fell from his eyes in pain. So after he vomited he fainted. It was good that this inn was so close. So our situation didn't become bad.

After washing my exhausted body with fresh water, I wore the dress that my mother kept. It was a magic dress. You can make the dress as you wish.

So I thought it would be good if the dress became a men's dress. So it becomes a men's dress. I wore the dress and came out of the room.

I looked at Theodore who was sleeping peacefully. Then I went to close to the table where the food was. I ate the food. I was so hungry that I ate a lot of food. Then looked at the table. There was only some fruit and two buns.

I stopped eating because if I ate all the food then what would Theodore eat when he woke up?

"I need to buy some clothes for us."

I muttered while looking at the outside through the windows. The sky is becoming dark little by little. I have to hurry.

I think I can take advantage of his sleep and can buy some clothes for us. So with one last glance at Theodore, I quickly and quietly slipped out of the room, then closed the door behind me as softly as I could. After looking at the room number, I stepped out of the inn.

The streets of the city of Dawnspring were livelier than I thought. It was a bustling city. People are chattering and laughing while buying things. While walking I looked at the shops that I was passing by.

I need to hurry. If Theodore woke up while I was away, he would think I abandoned him.

This city has a different energy than the city of commoners. Here in the evening, people are walking freely. Some glowing orbs give light on the streets so people can walk in the night without worry of darkness.

I walked in the streets for ten minutes and found a small clothes shop. The wooden sign of the shop was swinging in the evening breeze. The small shop was modest with a single window that was displaying a few cloaks and clothes.

I pushed the door and stepped inside of the shop. The scent of new clothes greeted me faster than the shop owner or manager.

An elder woman came towards me and asked in her soft voice, "Do you want to buy some clothes, dear?"

I felt warm hearing her voice and nodded softly.

"What kinds of dress do you want to buy?"

She asked.

"I want to buy some clothes for me and my ten-year-old little brother."

I told her softly.

She looked at me for a moment and showed me some new kinds of dresses.

"These dresses are new trends these days. So you can buy what you want."

She said while showing me the dresses.

I saw the dresses. The colors of the dresses were okay not too deep or light. So I bought ten dresses five for me and five for Theodore.

"Two gold coins."

She asked the price. I gave two gold coins and came out of the shop. On my way, I bought some sweet dessert for me and my little brother.

But it surprised me when I came back to the inn. I saw some people trying to stop a little boy from going out of the room.

So I walked over there and saw Theodore. So I called him.

"Theo."
