The Emperor had no option but to continue listening. If she had funded an academy, then everything she has done must also be known.
" I funded the academy and decided to take up my mother's position. But, since I have no magical capabilities or knowledge I decided to take over the softer side of the academy. I took care of students when they had nothing and turned them into someone. "Taking a small pause, she allows the Emperor to process all that she has said.
" It was a hefty investment that took a lot of time. And, now I have an army of mages that offer me absolute loyalty and S-tier magical skills. " The Emperor was seeing where this was going. The war might be over but that does not mean that the fallen Kingdoms were not trying to get onto something.
Mages are still alive and out there. Having even one mage on your side can prove to be very beneficial. But, an army would mean at least 50 people, and trusting even 5 mages is nerve-wracking.
Does that mean having an army of mages is a bad thing ? Absolutely Not, but she will have to do more than talk to prove herself and this army of mages that she speaks of.
