Old habits.

Gwen got out of that office. She had a blazing headache and her blood was boiling. She couldn't get herself to calm down. She was angry , shocked...scared.

'' What the...'' she leaned against the wall for support. Her legs were failing her. She wasn't one to cry but she felt tears burn down her cheeks. She focused on her reflection in the window. She was disoriented. Her complexion was pale , her hair was out of place , she looked...troubled.

'' What...how am I gonna face Alec? '' She tried to straighten her hair out and pat her cheeks to bring the colour back to her face. Nothing much changed.

'' Shouldn't you be worried? She's been away for quite a while now. '' Ruth smirked at Alec. Deep down , she wanted Alec to go get his girlfriend from Leo. What were they doing for so long ? The party was down here!

Despite his refusal to show it , he was starting to get... uncomfortable. He rose from his seat to search for Gwen. The building was quite vast so it took Alec a while to circle around till he saw Gwen. She was trying to get a look at herself through her reflection in a window. He was partly glad that she was alone. God ! He hated Leo to the core.

'' You look beautiful. '' His arms surrounded her waist and his mouth tasted the skin on her neck. The chill of his lips made her flinch . '' What took you so long? I was starting to think you ran off with that guy. I was praying to God you weren't on a flight to Morocco.''

Gwen was stiff. Alec could feel her heart pound which was strange . '' What's the matter?"

When she didn't respond he spun her round to face him. She kept looking away but he saw the redness of her delicate skin. She was bruised.

'' You...'' his eyes moved over her neck.There were bite marks and scratches on it.

'' Alec...I ..'' She tried to explain in her shaky voice but he was not ready to hear a thing. A muscle in his jaw clicked.

'' Where is he ? '' He spoke with his jaw clenched. When she didn't respond he decided to find out for himself.

'' Alec wait! " Gwen tried to hold on to him but he stormed off practically radiating a murderous scent.

She rubbed the skin between her brows. '' Shit ! " She ran after him.

Stomp after stomp , Alec searched room by room for his prey.He could feel his fists shaking. He wanted to see blood everywhere. As God had it , when he opened his thirteenth door , Leo stood on the other side. It was a scenic pause.

'' You son of a...'' Alec rained down on him with a flurry of punches. He didn't even bat an eyelid. A dark smirk erupted on his face when blood started to pour. He grabbed him by the collar and dragged him over an office table. He banged his head against the hardwood surface of the table and he kept banging it until it was smeared in blood.

'' Alec ! Stop it ! " Gwen pulled him back but she was barely moving him." You're going to kill him ! "

But Alec just kept going. Leo's face was a red plump mess. He was unrecognizable and despite this , Alec was no where near done. " Alec ! " Gwen was getting scared. She'd never seen this side of him . She didn't want to see this side of him.

He stepped back , his chest was heaving with anger and satisfaction. Gwen felt a knot in her stomach when she saw how the blood covered his face. His eyes glittered with joy as he pulled out a gun from his coat.

'' Alec , what are you doing? " Gwen spoke softly. The situation was tense.

Leo coughed and pushed himself upwards. He let out a coarse laugh. '' Do it...It's what you're good at , right ? "

" Right. '' Alec loaded his gun and aimed for Leo's chest.

" Alec calm the fuck down and put that gun away! " She was almost screaming. '' Alec ! Are you listening to me ?! "

'' Do it . '' Leo straightened himself and propped his chest. '' Do...it...''

'' Leo. you are not helping in any way. Just shut your mouth ! " Gwen yelled.

Alec took a deep breath and shut his eyes. He didn't want to be like this again but he couldn't deny the pleasure he felt being covered in blood. He gathered all his self control and put his gun away.

'' Let's go. '' He smiled and left hand in hand with Gwen.
