Before the war, the Tiger Tribe controlled the southern mountains and a portion of Aras, while the Wolf Tribe held the northern city of Aras and the central passes.
In this conflict, the Wolf Tribe took the offensive, moving into the Aras Plains, only to be defeated by Prince Phenix of the Tiger Tribe.
At the cost of a thousand of their own, the Tiger Tribe left fifty thousand Wolf Tribe soldiers dead.
Forced into a retreat, the Wolf Tribe's commander, Abbas, fell back to the pass "Aras Gate," with Phenix and his forces in close pursuit.
This meant that the Aras Plains, where Stephen was located, were now entirely under Tiger Tribe's control.
